After looking at this list.

Why don't you just name, EVERY CAR EVER MADE!

This list is way too damn long, thhough I like many of the cars under certain manufacturers there are too many. No game will ever have this many cars, eventually the list will be every car ever made just about. And the list is pretty damn close to being there..

Hahaha, I thought the same thing! I think the list would be better if you just named cars you DIDN'T want in the game.

I just want the flagship of racing - Any Ferrari
 
Twin Engined cars like the VW Motorsport Scirocco from the 80s...

actually,any Scirocco and Corrado would be a good addition.
 
Once again, that list is silly.

How about some cars they should have left out?

TWO! versions of the BMW 120. Did we even need one? There are like seven different Ford GT40/GTs. That's six too many. That Gillet boot or shoe or whatever it is. It's still in the game, right? Oh yeah, Volvo. Pick any Volvo from history and we get that silly 240 wagon with the sewing machine under the hood and a fwd sedan. Was it the S60? Stupid. We got two different '69 Camaros and like six different Mopars but no cammer-motor Ford stuff. At least throw us some equality. I could go on and on.....

great list....just one small point of contention: The "Chevrolet Corvette Blue Devil '07" will really be named the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 '06...'blue devil' was just an internal code name...


just an aside as a Corvette fan, I've been VERY disappointed that PD did not find the time to include the C6 Corvette, even though it was unveiled in Jan. 04 👎


and I agree with some of the others that said any TRUE racing/driving game needs to be represented by Ferrari as well.
 
Venom yes you can get a 323 in GT4.

PD needs to get their act together and do what is required so PORSCHE will accept use of it's logo and vehicles. GT4 offers RUF which is NOT IN ANY SINGLE WAY PORSCHE OEM. RUF is to PORSCHE as Schlitzier is to BMW or AMG to Mercedes if you catch my drift. Moreover, PORSCHE offers a plethora of vehicles since the early 50's which in my opinion would all be fun to drive. I own two PORSCHES and THEY ARE THE GREATEST SPORTS CAR EVER MADE. PERIOD

Yes, I do agree with you I personally don't like RUF myself, but you've gone wrong on some parts. Yes RUF is to Porsche what Schnitzer is to BMW, but AMG is to Mercedes like TRD is to Toyota, that's to the point the point I recall. You probably meant to what Brabus to Mercedes or perhaps Alpina & Hartge to BMW.

i think it would be better if gt5 had only cars that looked different from each other. having 20 cars that all look the same but vary a tiny amount in performance is stupid imo it would be better if they had one model, the best one of that kind then they can spend more time creating a bigger variety of cars. anyway i wanna see:

I too would love to see the addition of Proper Porsches but i believe the reason for them not being in the game is down to the fact that Porsche wanted WAY too much money to have thier cars in the game as did Ferrari also, so unless they change thier tune i very much doubt they will be there...

I believe a different view. Porsche may have not liked vehicle rendition by Sony (look and/or feel.) Sony has money too! What is too much to Sony? C'mon bro

yes i agree with you. sony has lots and lots of money to spend. i also had the idea that they just didnt want there cars to be in a video game
 
Excuse me gentlemen or children in this point. There's simple answers to this debate on why wasn't the German brand Porsche in GT4 or put it this way the GT-series, anyhow the reasons weren't about money like that character said "...What is too much to Sony?.." What is too much? I think thats a long road ahead.. But anyways the problems are just about licensing with other company's as EA Games or ECT. Those agreements with such companys have little catches in this case the contract perhaps didn't authorize Sony or Polyphony Digital to use renderings or linceses or rights of the cars in the GT-series. To end this quick it's just a competition to stay alive in this game genre which is racing. Therefore Porsche as at least I know it hasn't been inserted in the GT-series..

I would easily give up all the ferraris and porsches JUST for the formula car on GT4. Not to mention the boatloads of great rally cars, the Minolta Toyota, Sauber Mercedes, Nissan R89 & R92, Mazda 787B, Ford Model T, both Chapparal cars, NSX-R prototype LMs, Jaguar XJR-9, BMW M5, Buick Special, DeLorean, Gillet Vertigo, way more Mercedes, PESCAROLO!, and plenty more.
 
If you have seen the 5th Gear Gran Turismo 4 launch party episode Tiff needell says that porsches and ferrari's aren't in GT4 due to wanting too much money. I am only passing on what i have heard..
 
This list is way out of control. Why are poeple posting so many pointless cars? They shouldn't be put in the game simply because a car exists! Look at some of the stuff on the first list....a 2000 Chevy Impala?! Who the hell cares to drive that pile of crap. And there are too many posts mentioning race cars that are already in the game. We don't need the same Viper in every possibly conceivable team colors. And we don't need cars repeated just 'cause they had a differnt name in the US or Europe. Acura TSX '04?! It's the same damn thing as the Accord Euro that is already in the game.
 
I just want to see more domestic cars. I mean, there are more Hondas in the game than all domestic cars total. There are so many Skylines and Civics. Is it really possible that used Civic Fastback is more popular than 1960s and 1970s muscle cars? Also, I don't think any GT game ever had newer Firebird (or Firebird at all). Also, we always see same Mustang - 65 Shelby and 00 Cobra R. I'm tired of that. I wanna see Mustangs such as Boss 302, Boss 429 or 1980s and 1990s 5.0. GT4 had 6 Camaros (no complaining) and only 3 Mustangs.
