GT5 delayed

My initial reaction was a big F.YOU to Sony and Polyphony Digital for what feels like another twist of the knife.

I have read all of the posts on here and registered just to share in the collective rage.

I half suspected the comments to be full of blind fanboys saying "as long as its going to be perfect what does another few weeks/months matter" but was happy (sort-off) to see that most people shared my rage.

Nothing but Disappointing. Granted I have other things to do like finish my new rig, wait for my GT3RSv2 wheel and pedals and certainly have other games to play this is still discouraging. Maybe now we will get a new demo?

Its 3 weeks before release, all thats left to do should be producing the disks.
Someone needs to give PD a lesson in project management.
Seriously, this is shameful for such a big company.
I think heads will roll after this, its a PR disaster for Sony.

Honestly... its just a game (not really but u know what i mean.)

it will come out this holiday season... they CAN NOT delay again... PD or Sony CAN NOT delay the game again.

im keeping my pre-order... im still getting the G27... but for now ill just get F1 2010 for my racing need.

but if they delay the game again after this... thats the last strike... i rather wait for GT6 like someone else stated already... since they are working on GT6 already... which makes no sense... why start work on GT6 while GT5 is not complete??

A dutch car website was at an official GT5 presentation this afternoon (probably the same as Blitz_187 tweeted about) and they were told the delay rumors were false.

I have spent the last couple of weeks wondering why there doesn't appear to have been much new media on the game. For the supposed release date, there was a surprising lack of shots showing off the new cars, tracks, features etc.

Delaying a game to make changes is a marketing way of saying delaying the game to fix bugs.

There is absolutely no chance it will not ship this year, the plummet in revenue if it were to miss the festive season would be unimaginable for Sony, especially after the money this game has cost.

That was really smart man. A game thats taken 4 years to make, and has been delayed before, and you book a vacation around it. Wow.

I think the delay hasn't any thing to do with adding additional content, but more to do with how far behind PD is with the development of this game. Until a couple of years ago PD has been working with a open ended schedule, but the art world & the business had to cross at some time. Now PD has to put a product together that it wasn't ready to release, thus the delay from a March date & now a November release. This now becomes apparent why PD hasn't shown us any video of the core part of this game, but only mock-ups images with errors.

That's annoying, I didn't buy F1 2010 because I figured I wouldn't play it after a month because GT5 was coming out, but apparently not. The game will never be perfect and PD need to realise this and release the stupid thing already.
