Well I told my friend last week that I would rather have GT5 delayed or Fallout NV delayed just as long as my mom who has cancer is ok. I think this is a sign she’s going to get better which as far as i can tell she is.
Dam I also just realized I took off November 2nd cuz I thought FOR SURE it wouldn't have been delayed, ugh too late to change that now. Hopefully they will be nice and release a demo like what the stores have on some of the display machines.

I'm still hanging on to my pre-order but...wow, come on...
Very ominous that they dont say what the problem is and the dont instantly confirm a new release date. 'Holiday season' means nothing.
I sincerely hope this isnt a repeat of a game called Driver 3 where it was delayed so many times that it got slated like hell upon release for not being perfect.
In all honesty Sony have been vague with the release date until now on purpose, but once it was confirmed to be 2nd or 3rd of Nov it was considered to be set in stone.
Like someone already said at least give us a demo on November 3rd

Im upset because they decide to give the bad news when the waiting game was supposed to be near an end. If they made a delay a few months ago then It would not feel as bad.

EDIT: I also feel bad for all the folks who have planned their vacations and time off for the November 2nd/3rd/4th/5th launch.

The only positive I will get out of this delay is the fact that my Obutto cockpit will not be shipped until Nov 15, so that means that I should have it by the GT5 release. I don't like the delay at all, but there is nothing that we can do. I agree that they should give us a demo on PSN though, so that we can get a taste of it.
I hope it is before that, but if you are correct, maybe it is pay back from them, after bombing Pearl Harbor.

I wanted to have it on the release date. We wanted it on the release date because that's when they said they were going to release it. I didn't say it's going to be released on November 2. They did.
I'm disappointed and I have the right to be disappointed. This is a natural reaction and you're acting like it's a 🤬 taboo. I don't deserve the game. No one deserves the game. It's a privilege. I know that, but I'm still disappointed.

The whole "delayed so many times" thing is dumb. The game never had a date up until E3 2010. It's the second delay. It's the same thing as saying that Final Fantasy Versus XIII has been delayed many times. It's just a (ridiculously) long development time.
BUT, it IS ridiculous anyway. I wonder if it's Sony's marketing making the decision, running away from COD Black Ops release 1 week after in the west. (but then, there's Monster Hunter Portable 3rd coming on december 1st in Japan also, so that would mean a late december release? Or not a worldwide launch anymore?)
My Limited Edition is still preordered. I'm still excited to play it. But damn, PD, don't do that anymore.

Been playing since the first GT, remember getting CD's with video demos of Gran Turismo and being hooked without even playing. If another delay is announced after this, which wouldn't surprise me, I will cancel my pre-orders and I'm out. GT5 was the reason for me to buying a PS3 and in that time I've built a monster rig for PC games and have just about forgotten about the PS3.
The only way to let them know my dissatisfaction is by not buying the game. If GT6 is seriously not going to take another decade and a family of raccoons doesn't inhabit my PS3 maybe I'll wait for that.

Why on earth are people cancelling their pre-orders? The game will still come.
I'm glad that this game will be better and all, but they could at least give us a new date before pushing it back instead of saying it will be out 'this Holiday season'.
I hope they don't miss out on too many sales. November is the perfect time to release as you get massive Christmas sales for two months and massive sales in January as people have Christmas money and vouchers etc.

someone have to really tell KY that no matter what/how last minute editing goes. people will still be complaining to why there isn't this and isn't that in the game. and everyone knows that last minute editing will lead to more editing and probably a bigger delay.
