Its interesting that they would pick a lady that worked on GT in previous versions according to the BMO website. Never know but we can dream.

I have more confidence O.J. will find the real killers in the next 25 mins than hearing a release date from Sony.

Hurricane I like your optimism. Unfortunately we've all lived through these many times before.

Hope your right though mate and make me eat my words.

yea leave it to a neawbie who's been here for a day to tell you guys, well i hope so for all the ones that have been around here for years. Things usually happen on Thursday's, heres to hoping

Did that a long time ago. I dont care about a key chain, some book that will be on the internet in PDF form, and some little car.

I just want the damn game already!

I did the same.

There were some "DLC" cars too but I believe the code would just be a faster way of unlocking them since this game wont have DLC apparently.

Honestly, I don't see what they think they have to gain by keeping their cards to their chest.

It's no secret this game will sell consoles.
IF it's not coming this Xmas their better off not telling us till the last possible minute. It might deter pre Xmas sales of ps3.

Last year little Jonny just finished ripping open his new PS3 only to find Sony delay the game in January. Happy new year PS3 owner.

When GT5 stops generating headlines and GTP stops getting tens of thousands of hits per day maybe then Sony will announce a release date.

Until that happens Sony may as well stick to their current strategy of shipping stock to retailers and suprising everyone with a 'GT5 is available now' type PR announcment.

The hype surrounding it won't go away until it releases.

I'm really disappointed that they didn't announce anything. I thought this was gonna be it.

The way i see it, is that Sony cant really afford another delay or bump of the release date so i reckon that they are waiting until they can absolutely guarantee that they can get the game out at a certain date.
With that being said the fact that they are so quiet about it all is a bit of a kick in the nuts, the only redeeming factor about all of this is that someone has got their hands on it now and is post videos giving us a look at the final product which looks and sounds fantastic.

Well, obviously they have copies shipping worldwide. There is no reason that I can see that would stop them from taking the date they think they will have enough copies and adding a week to it.

I'm willing to bet that there are at least 2-3 million copies floating around already worldwide. I'm sure distributing them would take a week or so from today's date. In theory, they could launch on the 23rd from my observations. But if they don't hurry and make a decision, stores won't be able to advertise properly no matter what if they plan on releasing in November.

The problem isn't the mystery release date.
The problem is Sony's silence and in effect dishonesty.
Just open, honest, and transparent. A little goes a long way. If you're having trouble printing the discs, let us know. If the lack of a firmware upgrade will cost you millions of dollars, let us know. Whatever it is, just let us know; we'll survive, believe me.
But the utter and complete silence is the problem. They did suggest they would have a release date available by the end of October, now it's well in to November and we still have not heard word one.

A little honesty goes a long ways Sony.

They tried a release date. A global one. It failed. For reasons I will not dwell on right now. The postponed. They HAVE to get it right this time.

So they are shipping it all over the world, and waiting to see it reaches all the stores they want, that have requested stock, and that no more "production issues" or distribution or any other will delay it.

Only then (IMO) they will announce it.

And I'm pretty confident it will be on the first day of the Madrid launch party. The surprise being "right NOW, all over the world".
