This man was very angry about this new release, and this is what happened when he went to PD Headquarters.

That's a great idea. Let's send Rampage Jackson to PD studios and then to Sony's headquarters to get to the bottom of this delay and knock off some heads along the way.

I knew something wasn't right when I read the embargo or whatever will be lifted October 27th or somewhere around there, which is a few days before release. I called BS on that, and I may have been right... I'm still thinking it's coming out in November though, just wish they didn't mention holiday season, because that could mean end of December. Oh well.

It would be nice if they gave us the demo thats in the shops displays to make up for the delay. The demo is already done just upload it to PSN.

Honestly cancelling your pre-order and selling your PS3 because of this is over reacting. I am disapointed also but there are other games being released between now and GT5 that are going to be fun also.

Not really and I will FORCE everyone else I know to do so as well, lol I refuse to give a dime to these scumbags. I ONLY bought a PS3 for GT5, I'll just go back to playing F3 and PC sims.

I'm disappointed but not suprised. Worst thing is that I'm losing confidence in their promise about expecting perfection.

The only way I think they could compensate with pride would be to give us a release date which is suprisingsly close to the original date. Something like November 19th. We really deserve a positive suprise at this point.

I've said that about GT3, GT4 and now GT5. Imo it's always been the Duke Nukem Forever for the racing genre, except when it comes out I know I'll want to keep playing for more than 2 hours

I'm just still hoping it will be coming out for Christmas.

With just over 3 weeks to go when it was due out in the UK, this is a serious blow indeed. 👎

I bought my PS3 for GT5 only but I wont be cancelling my pre-order. I think thats over reacting. Now my PS3 gets used for watching BlueRay films and upscaling DVD films. I recently upgraded my games PC for new games coming soon including NFS Hot Pursuit. If GT5 was going to be on the PC (I know it wont be) then I would never have bought my PS3 because there isnt one game that takes my interest on the PS3 with the past three years.

Okay let's look at the positives.... The game should be ironed out (bug free, Im sure F1 2010 owners wouldn't of minded that to be delayed if they killed the bugs), but now I want more PD........ (More cockpits and no crappy physics)

What positives? The game was supposed to be ironed out come November 2nd to begin with. Or that's at least what we were led to believe.

I know at the end of the day I will still be buying GT5, but the stubborn part in me really wants to not buy it simply to throw the pie (which they probably think is made of gold) back in PD's face  Although it would take millions of people to do the same thing to have any affect of course :indiff: Part of me wouldn't mind (I would enjoy it actually - call me cynical) seeing such a lackadaisical company like PD (yet somehow manages to be so succesful) out of business or at least forced to be woken up - as they seem to live off in their own little world atm, having all their customers on their hands and knees waiting years on end for the holy water, as if they are some type of god communicating (very rarely of course over many years) to us from the clouds above  And then they give a release date (which they should have been 100% sure that could meet) and then cancel it with only weeks remaining as if it is no big deal.

here's a thought ... anyone that already pre-ordered the game gets an additional bonus (additional to whatever we were going to get for initially pre-ordering it). maybe a few extra cars, maybe our names in the game credits as sponsors, or heck, maybe just give us the game :)

I really hope there is something special they're going to offer to their fans

They will. It will be a release date(or target, which is what they should be called when PD and Sony makes them) of March 2011 which they will surely miss again. It feels as though Sony and PD are just stringing us on for a ride.

+1 👍 (Except I would say Assassin's creed series to you, which incidentally is released in Novemeber, but that would be off-topic)

Thats it, im not buying this ish. PD has no respect for their fans/customers. They need to learn a lesson.

going to wait for the release date given, if it has 2011 on it I'm canceling as well and selling my PS3. In the 5 years waiting I've built a monster PC rig and have all but forgotten about the PS3. Honestly waiting this long it won't live up to the hype for most.

Well spoken, I could not have stated it better.

Yeah, of course he is.

Doubtful because many Forza fans are livid about the Ultimate Edition. I raced in the production hopper last night and between 8pm to 12am the hopper never had more than 40 people online. This tells you that many have already given up with Forza 3.
