My wife told me Friday that we are expecting a baby too (it'll be our second!).

I wonder if I'll become a father for the second time before GT5 is lauched!

This is all on PD, reason why you ask?
1.They either found a really bad bug to fix at the last minute dragging their feet.
2.They just not sent the game out last week for Sony to certify which probably didn't pass Cert, which also is not enough time to manufacture with only 2 weeks and 3 days left in the month which caused the delay.

Any way you look at it this is PD and Kaz fault for dragging their feet with getting stuff done in a timely fashion (as always) and their poor management.

I'm betting a Nov 16th or 23rd release.

Maybe for "this year" they mean "financial year"?
In that case, the release date could end up being March 2011 for example.

They did say:

We are sorry to say that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available on the previously announced release date of November 3rd, but the game will be released before Christmas.

We can only hope this is true.

Okay let's look at the positives.... The game should be ironed out (bug free, Im sure F1 2010 owners wouldn't of minded that to be delayed if they killed the bugs), but now I want more PD........ (More cockpits and no crappy physics)

I'm not going to say nothing bad or good except I have been waiting on this game and I still want it. I just wish we would have got some more footage or they told us what else we would see in the game with such a short time frame of it being released on Nov 2nd. Doesn't make sense.

You know for a fact that even if the game was flawless and the best looking game in all aspects you will have some people complaining its not good enough.

I've officially cancelled my pre-order for the collectors edition from two different retailers. I won't be getting my hopes up, even when another release date is announced. I also won't even consider purchasing the game until a) it is physically sitting there on store shelves and b) ive read several reviews proving that it does in fact live up to our impossibly high expectations. A single infinitesimally small flaw in the game is absolutely unaccaptable at this point, and if any are present I simply will not buy it.

Unfortunately this the only real way of showing them how disgusted we, the fans, truly are with PD/Sony. I've been a lifelong GT fan since the original meaning that I've grown up and have a lot less time to spend playing it. There are just too many other quality games out there that I'd rather sink my (extremely limited) time into at this point. Not to mention that REAL auto racing, not dicking around with a simulator, is taking more and more of a priority.

I didn't wait 6 years to simply ignore the game when it's out just because it has taken so long. I'm gonna play the sh** out of it and enjoy every minute of it, because I already know that it'll exceed my personal expectations - by far.
