Well I didn't think I was going to have enough time to play Fallout:New Vegas, it appears I was wrong.

you guys are crazy if you think you're guna get a demo out of them...

I can't think of any other reason hence my theory. As its mid October I would of thought the game was finished and was ready to be sent to reviewers and also ready for mass production. If PD had noticed bugs in the game that needed resolving then I would of thought this delay would of been mentioned earlier.

What I annoys me the most isn't that GT5 has been delayed but how close this announcement is to the actual release date.

Hehe, I never really calmed down about that. I will never be happy knowing only a 5th of the cars are actually done.

Not that this delay has anything to do with that, but it will always bug me. What if I fall in love with a car, and then realize I cant drive the damn thing in the rain. Oh yeah, is that your idea of perfection Kaz, cuz I think I have a very different idea of what that word means.

if the delay is related to putting 'GTPSP'-esque cockpits..I'll be.... (maybe) ok with that.but...man,now I have to go through the longest GT5 waiting month ever..and I have 6 exams through November.Kaz...why...? Why... Why...

So I wonder what "Holiday Season" includes.... I hope this isn't one of those "over 200 means slightly less than or slightly more than" issues where Holiday season includes date within 3 months of a Holiday or something....

Holiday Season for these idiots includes years, they could mean Holiday Season 2011, 2012, 2013 at this point.👎

If PD was certain of a Christmas date release, with just a few minor bugs being to be worked out, a new release date would be announced within a few days, but three weeks to issue a new release date would indicate that PD is dealing with more major issues. This would indicate a release date beyond the end of the year. :)

this is very disappointing, in fact its so disappointing that even my demented grandma is also disappointed, and she doesn't even know what Gran Turismo is, so it must be the disappointment of the century.

I don't like people that lie and i don't like people that make promises that they can't keep, sony and PD are doing both at this time, so i don't like them at all.

Something tells me, as a middle class citizen who doesn't own a 3d tv, that these delays aren't going to positively affect my GT5 experience.

Im not bothered by having to wait for GT5 another month or however long, I mean how long has it been since we first heard about GT5? 5 going on 6 years, Im used to the wait. Im just tired of the "broken promises" from SONY/PD.

GT5P surely gave us the intent that ALL cars in GT5 would have Interiors, but we all know how that goes. This release date was announced at TGS one of the biggest gaming conventions in the world, and you put your date out there for everyone to see. HERE IT IS FINALLY! LOL bad move guys. But, they know we are deeply in LOVE with GT and WILL buy this game no matter what. For some of us thats the only game we play. And Im not saying that we arent spoilied because we did get alot of features that are VERY good and this will be a good game...whenever it comes out :)

'Holiday Season' means any time before people start taking down their Christmas trees.BUT...being an optimist,Im expecting a demo on November 3rd.they announce more premiums.and we get December3rd as a release date.

I'm not happy that the game is being delayed but if this is what is necessary to make it as good as it possibly can be then so be it. I hope that the game can make it to stores by the end of the year but honestly, even if it's not out until Christmas 2011, I'll be ok with it.

This is likely to be my swan song as a gamer and I want it to be as close to perfection as possible. While I understand people's frustration, I think that this is probably for the best.

The game has been in development for 6 years already. We've been waiting for a long time and if it takes a few more weeks or even months, that's ok by me as long as it blows every other game out of the water when it's released. That's the overall thing that I take from this latest delay. The game has raised the bar to impossibly high levels. If it doesn't re-invent the wheel, it will be a disappointment.

A delay this late is complete lame-ness and just shows the continuing trend of PD's/Sony's lack of professionalism when it comes to getting things done on time and in a timely matter, not to mention their lack of proper communication and marketing between their customers (who are pretty damn die-hard at that).

If this delay is for marketing purposes, and particularly getting the game out closer to Christmas, I must say they are complete idiots. The game is most likely going to sell out regardless of when it is released, so why bother changing the release date when the game won't even be on the shelf for more than a day or two??

This game better be perfect, and I mean flawless to such a degree that God himself strokes his beard and mumbles something like "why didn't I come up with that?"

But then again on month more or less no biggie.
Besides this way, I might pass my exam on December 2. :)

After recent events if PD do come up with a release date nearer the end of this month then I have my upmost faith that THAT date announced will be THE date. They can't afford to screw fans around that much more...

I can tell you exactly what I will do on release date, Master Kazunori (Master of unfulfilled promises, damage model for gt5p and pedal shifter on g27 you know...):

I will start the game, go directly to a multiplayer race and if there is just a single asshole bumping into me without punishment you can have your perfect game back.

My birthday:crazy: and GT5 won't even be out by then.

Lol!!!!!! In more interesting news, so what did everyone have for lunch today? Turkey and pepperjack sandwich for me, it was glorious!

I thought it was noteworthy given the number of people around here betting on a March 2011 release. Glad you enjoyed your sandwich.

I fully agree about the lack of professionalism, but I wouldn't blame this debacle on Sony - they stand to lose the most with this announcement. This will destroy their fourth-quarter numbers and really depress their fiscal-year reportings.

Polyphony Digital is known for two things - the Gran Turismo series and an almost comical number of 'delays' to their games. It's pretty easy to pinpoint the source of this mess.
