He was attempting a "funneh". You know it's hard for GT fans to apparently, like anything but GT when it comes to racing.

Well, it's not, unless Most Wanted was just another Hot Pursuit in itself. No I'm serious. Looks like another :censored:ing Most Wanted.
Play NFS:Hot Pursuit while you wait. 👍
*sigh*
That is an unbelievably naive way of looking at the situation.
Release dates depend on circumstance. There is no arguing that. They just do. Unforeseen problems in development change release dates around all the time. There is no arguing that either. You cannot plan for everything, and all release dates are always subject to change because you cannot plan for everything..
*All this tells me is that you don't actually know anything about software development, or indeed, product development in general. Especially when you are passing such heavy-handed judgment when we don't even know why the game was delayed. You can not guarantee that things will go smoothly when programming software. It is impossible. To complain that PD wasn't able to iron out their problems by that point just shows ignorance, because you are essentially saying that they should have been able to plan ahead for something that couldn't be planned ahead for..
*Its not about defending PD. It wasn't even, strictly speaking, a response to your post specifically. It was more a general response to the overall sentiment in this thread that they should have simply released it regardless to honor the release date, and that not doing so was "wrong." There are two sides to every coin. It isn't a black and white "Sony/PD made a mistake" situation, because there would be negative consequences regardless of what action they took.

Like I said 12.12.2012...
Just thank your lucky nuts that Kaz isn't involved in rescueing Chilean miners.
tl;dr, you don't know what you are talking about. You've clearly never attempted to learn about the steps that are taken over the course of a game's development cycle, and since you don't know what developing a game actually entails, you are lashing out at PD because you think someone must be to blame. Not my problem. Have a nice day. 👍For christ sakes, when the release date (which was never stated as being tentative) is pushed back who's fault is it? Your argument is so jaded it's becoming border line ridiculous. I'm sorry but you have to point the finger at someone, especially given the circumstances (they gave an exact release date, and now they have pushed it back to an unknown date within weeks of the supposed release date). I think the fact that they are pushing the release date back this late (after 5+ years of snails pace development) due to the need for further polishing shows they were being overly optimistic (which is their fault) to say the least with the supposed Nov. 2nd release date.
Ah yes, I'm the ignorant one If anyone is guilty of being ignorant it would be Sony/PD for not letting it be known that their release date was tentaitve. But going by PD/Sony's track record when it comes to sticking to release dates, I guess that should have been a given (so I admit I'm guilty of being naive).
Let's just all kill ourselves. Maybe that'll show sony to get the **** on with it!
Mhh it was unofficially announced since 2-3 weeks... there were no infos, no images, no videos, no advertising, no reviews, no gold status...
We all were sceptical but no one of us wan´t to think about an delay... But there it is... Life is going on...
I have to admit that I did find that funny.

What exactly have I said do you find naive? Are you really as naive as your letting out to be, or are you working for Sony Jeez
So long as you don't post nonsense that needs to be corrected, I'll be sure to steer clear. 👍Yea it isn't - next time don't bother trying to correct me with your nonsense.
And only last week, at a PlayStation press event in New York during the Comicon convention, visitors were digging into GT5″ game demos, and representatives from Sony Computer Entertainment of America seemed genuinely excited about the games then-imminent launch in the United States on Nov. 2 (it was to go on sale in Japan Nov. 3, in Europe Nov. 4).
Were really close, but this was an executive decision that was made yesterday, said Taku Imasaki, the North American producer for Gran Turismo 5, in a phone interview. Realistically, we thought we had a good date. Were not happy over here.
Mr. Imasaki said the company is shooting for it to be out by the holidays. You wont see too much more delay.
There was also speculation that Sony might not have sufficient supplies of the game to meet demand in November.
