Have they announced that they are going to give an delay explanation at the end of October??

Can't find anything on that. Does someone have a link or something?

It came from a SCEE twitter comment just as the delay was being announced IIRC.

Oke thanks,

Altough I highly respect Kaz for creating the game and the work that he does, I don't take things he says serious anymore. He's probably a great guy, and if it were up to him we would be playing gt5 by now. Some things he claims are just beyond his power. Just like a 2010 release. One more bump in the road and it we'll be March 2011.

Let's hope not. Until then I'll go round Suzuka or Fuji for the 10.000th time in GT5p.

There's no excuse for delays. Might aswell can the whole game as they're obviously not up the the simple task. How hard can it be? Such a simple task and they've made it look ever so difficult. How come other game developers can manage to make great games and even release them on time without delay?

Why can't they release it on PSN on Noverber 3rd?

It'll be in the region of 50Gb. Very few places can cope with a download that size. I'd need my PS3 to be on for four weeks, downloading non-stop.

Because no game is as good as GT... if you dont want the game then theres no reason for you to be here.

OHAI.

If it's so simple kiddie, you go do it. Let me know about a beta invitation.

My release date just changed to 1st December 2010..
I swear KY said it would be some combo of 10 11 & 12..
11th December would make more sense from what KY said.

This simple task you're talking about is worth 5 years and tens of millions of dollars. There is so much riding on this game's success. You want them to throw all that away by letting it ship as a buggy, broken mess just because you're an impatient crybaby?

If it's not done, it's not done. It's frustrating but there's nothing you or PD can do about it.

I went back to GT4 meanwhile and have to say: The physics of GT4 are far better than those of GT5Prologue.

👍 eg: Call of Duty : Black Ops is scheduled for 9th of November and I am sure it will be released that day. (Even on 3 platforms ..)

I want whatever copy of GT4 you somehow managed to get!

No need to be a smart Alec, but whatever floats your boat.

@ OkeyD: Yes, I'm very impatient.. you have no idea how impatient I am and how much of a bad temper I can have. You have no clue what type of person I am, edit your post and don't be calling me a cry baby.

Name me a console racing game that contains all the features that GT5 has?

Answer you can't and thats the difference between GT5 and the other racing games. I certainly don't want a bug ridden pile of rubbish like F1 2010. Im still perplexed how these bugs escaped the game testers and even more so the reviewers. I swear something fishy goes on these days!!

My keyboard and mouse are trembling with fear lol.

I know!! Real life. How about that? Buy a real car that doesn't have bugs or glitches or fake handling or busted tachos or stupid exhaust sounds or any of that garbage. Or learn to live with the fact it's just a video game, nothings perfect and as good as GT5 could be it is only a video game, so big deal? So who cares if there's a few little glitches or a bit slow loading. Besides, they stuffed the game up by putting the premium cars in it anyway. Even KY admitted that himself in a way.. they're built for PS4. again.. how hard can it be?

Me to I cant believe he said that.

This is my personal opinion. You are free to have a different one.

Not everything which is "new" or/and "more expensive" or/and more "shiny" is better. (This is also my own opinion, you are free...)

BTW: I am talking about Prologue. I am sure GT5's physics are far better than Prologue's... at least that's what you told us already JDMKING13)

It's the small details that make GT5 stand out from the crowd.

Forza 3 and Shift have only been out for 12 months yet both have been relegated to the budget bins, GT5 will still be a major seller up until GT6's release.

Not to mention the last delay was to address piracy issues and possible online cheating.

The Blue Ray version will be out in four weeks time, I hope. :P

The delay is a dissapointment but what can you do. I believe we will be playing it before Christmas this year and am willing to wait [not that I have a choice in the matter] I just hope they get the online part right. I loved GT4 and then moved on to Forza 2 then 3.

I had really high hopes for Forza 3 but they killed the online when they removed the custom public lobbies and replaced them with hoppers. IMO Forza 2 was a better game than Forza 3. Here's hoping that GT5 has Custom lobbies that can be open to the public as well as private ones.

I think you missed the point entirely here. After 5+ years and a $60m budget there should be practically zero bugs in the game and it should be finished by now, if not you really have to question what exactly PD have been up to for half a decade.

I dont understand your comment either 'its frustrating but there's nothing you or PD can do about it', i'm sorry but PD? who's developing the game again?

Ofcourse you are entitled to that personal opinion but like the others I do find it curious you prefer the physics of GT4 over Prologue.
Nothing to do with it being more recent and therefore better ( as that indeed isn't always the case ) but I have to ask which elements of GT4's physics engine you actually find better than Prologue's ( which also ain't perfect ofcourse )?
Has it got anything to do with being more accurate in your perception or more easy to adapt to or easier and more enjoyable to use?

1GB = 1024MB
if download speed is 2.2MB/s 1GB = 466 seconds /60 = 7.7 Minutes...

7.7 x 50 = 385 minutes

385 /60 = 6.41 Hours.. with the wind blowing the right way

Gimme :dopey:

A Dutch retailer now says the expected date for GT5 is the 26th of november.

Same retailer says it'll have 'over 150 cars'...

They did have the previous release date on there correctly though.

edit: Interesting, this one has given up on a release this year, or even most of next year. I guess they're all just removing the old date to stop the complaints.
