Ofcourse you are entitled to that personal opinion but like the others I do find it curious you prefer the physics of GT4 over Prologue.
Nothing to do with it being more recent and therefore better ( as that indeed isn't always the case ) but I have to ask which elements of GT4's physics engine you actually find better than Prologue's ( which also ain't perfect ofcourse )?
Has it got anything to do with being more accurate in your perception or more easy to adapt to or easier and more enjoyable to use?

Hi analog,

after playing GT5 Prologue recently I thought "why not give GT4 another try" (after having my PS2 and the games put away for a long time now)

So after firing up GT4 again I had that "deja-vu" experience of showing me just how much fun it was when years ago I only played GT4.

And I imidiately felt the reason why:

The cars feel much more connected to the road as they felt in Prologue and also everything felt somehow "right" while driving. I never had that feeling in Prologue.

I had a similar feeling when I drove that TT-Demo back in Dec. 2009. That "driving feel" was much better than in Prologue.

As I said already: It's my personal opinion but I really think GT4's physics are better than Prologue's....

Added: It's nothing to do with with beeing "more accurate" or "more easy" btw... It just feels better.

Same retailer says it'll have 'over 150 cars'...

At least that statement is fully accurate though....

Thanks for your explanation and ofcourse that's still an opinion I can't argue with due to it being largely based on personal preference and therefore taste I guess.
I also had a great time playing GT4 when it still was a current title but when I started playing Prologue ( even though a proper comparison perhaps can't be made due to the limited amount of tracks which also seem to be much smoother ) the new physics seemed to be a huge improvement.
I also very recently had a go at GT4 again but arrived at a different conclusion than you did, it felt inaccurate and inadequate compared to Prologue in my opinion.
Might be due to perception, getting used to something or which you simply prefer or deem more realistic but I definitely take Prologue physics over GT4.

GTA4 is starting to bore me after 2 years of playing. Shame. Guess I'll stick to Assassin's Creed 3 while GT5 gets here.

My release date just changed to 1st December 2010..
I swear KY said it would be some combo of 10 11 & 12..
11th December would make more sense from what KY said.

Saturday? What game has ever released on a Saturday? :ill:

I might be the only one person in the whole world who is actually enjoy that delay. December is much better date for me, much more free days to play. That Simple.

I'll let you in on a little known secret; If it came out in November, you'd STILL have it December! Crazy right?!

Same retailer says it'll have 'over 150 cars'...

The new Maxim says it'll have "over 100 cars." Technically right lol. By the way yes I know they just forgot a zero.

I know this is not official, but just an (semi) educated guess, but I think, if they can pull it off in time, that a November 23 (US of course, and other on their respected release day of the week) would be a perfect day to release. They will have the pre-order sales, of course, and big release day sales, but then also, the weekend after that is suppose to be the most busy shopping day of the year (at least in the US), so that would probably generate alot of sales then too. If they can get it out by then, I believe it would be in their best interest.

Does the PSN support very high bandwidth ? (20 mb/s+ ) You can have 100 mb/s , if the PSN doesn't support that you only get what they allow you to get.Isn't that the way it works?

But I still don't want a download version. I still have plenty of space left on my PS3 but I want the physical package for this game.

I'm not sure. I do know that my PS3 on wireless is incredibly slow much it's much faster since I hooked a cable up to it.

Not only for US but November 23 would be a good data for Holland too. It was mentioned before on GTP (it will not be a big thing for PD or Sony I guess) that in Holland we have Sinterklaas on December 5th (compareble in little scale for chrismas in US). It could also be this date that the retailers are trying to get more pre orders for Sinterklaas.

49.38Mb/s = 17 m 30 sec

56.86Mb/s = 8 m 20 sec

56.86Mb/s = 15 m

Not bad for a 50GB big download.

If only.....

You're a decimal place out.

At 49.38 Megabits per second, a 50 Gigabyte download would take 2hr 18.

24, with bethere.co.uk

Guh.

I must be the only person in the UK who's never lived in the 97% of Britain covered by high speed broadband - and I've lived in Sheffield, Norwich, Kent, Cambridgeshire and North Yorkshire. I'm currently at the fastest connection speed I've ever had - 1.6Mbps - and that's 8 times higher than BT says my line can support.

Sorry, made me laugh. I'm from Belgium, and here is Sinterklaas the 6th. But I really really doubt that Sinterklaas will influence the release date. :)

Sinterklaas kapoentje, leg wat in mijn schoentje !
I really hope we will get it by then yes.
And it's a reasonable guess.
Now only a confirmation...
Taking into account that it's less likely to have the announcement in the weekend, we should get the new date between 18th and 29th zo.. a little more than 10days wait... to start the new wait:P
