I was told today by a gamestop employee that the game is coming out january 11th 2011..... I was really bummed out for a second there but than asked myself how the f... would she know. She didnt even know that there is a current F1 game. So in essence gamestop sucks and we will need to wait till 2021 when GT5 prologue 2 will finally come out and prepare us for gt5 that will than shortly follow in 2050.....

It was such a good feeling knowing when GT5 was going to come out...nov 2...it just rolled off the tongue..but no, a nightmare for some, those true fans, whom I know is more than just me. Experienced another disappointment handed out by big business and poor communication between Sony and PD, imho. But it's ok, my thoughts are they don't announce the new release date in October. However, to add insult to injury, to put lemon juice in the open wound, they announce the new release date on nov 2...bastids! but its ok, I do feel that game will be available between the last week of november and the first week of dec..,at latest the 2nd week of dec. Assuming that they needed to update their software to Sony's newer sdk, that isn't the longest process to do. But the software then has to go through the QA process over again, I'd say that has to take a month. Thoughts?
In all honesty, and I think it's safe to say that I'm not just speaking for myself, I really look forward to playing this game. Build the garage up, clear the game, play online...it's going to be brilliant. But we already knew that...
so come on Sony/PD, be cruel, announce the new release date on nov 2., throw a dog a bone! :-) Peace.

In the next 5 days we are suppose to be reading a new release date. Also, anyone got a clue when the reviews are going to come out? (They were suppose to be out tomorrow)

I've made my own release date already by using common sense.
I'm sure this f...... game will be out before christmas. Anything else would render PD and Sony ridiculous.

So I set up a Sidebar gadget assuming the 20th dec.
It shows 54 days now and COUNTS down. That is all what matters.

I had been thinking Nov 23rd but now am thinking maybe we may get lucky and it be sooner. I think there would be some very happy people here if they say Nov 9th. Maybe if we all cross our fingers and toes?

According to this source, https://www.gtplanet.net/production-issues-blamed-for-gran-turismo-5-delay-yamauchi-issues-apology/ , the game will be out between december 4-8. How reliable is Jordan's source? Should this be considered a "release date", give or take.

Like I said previously all video games released in the UK are on a Friday. So this would make it Dec 3rd or 10th and not the dates you suggest. For the US this would probably be Nov 31st or 7th Dec because the games are released on a tuesday.
I personally feel these are the most likely dates when GT5 will be released as I explained in my earlier post.
