Do we already know which modes will be available?

Time trial only, or also multiple players online?

HAHA it's only a White Christmas for half of the world, not even that. I live in the southern hemisphere, in Brisbane, Christmas is the hottest part of the year - middle of summer.

It's funny how "Christmas spirit" is inspired by Hollywood, and how people seem to think it's just not Christmas unless it's snowing outside.

I think it's great here at Christmas - back yard cricket, BBQ's and beer! And the Santas still have to dress up in their hot suits and nearly faint because its 40 degrees C outside :)

Quoted for truth!

Dyslexia and weather all in a GT5 Demo discussion thread. 👎

Please stay on topic. 👍

Thanks.

A user of another forum(thanks semir) pointed out to me that the teams of the GT4 championship, next year can take part in the Spa 24H (28 July-1st August).
One more reason to try to make the best time and participate in the new GT Academy. :D

Also new this year, and which will be repeated from this year onwards, the GT4 teams can take part in the Spa 24H (28 July-1st August).

There is also a small article that talks about the new academy on their website.
Finishing second in the 2009 GT4 European Cup with RJN Motorsport and Alex Buncombe, Lucas Ordoñez, winner of the GT Academy, was a real success. Moving from the Playstation Gran Turismo game, he proved he was a very capable racing driver, with two wins and two second places. Now, Nissan and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have joined forces again to bring gaming and motor sport fans GT Academy 2010. It will go live on December 17th, using the virtual world of the new Playstation Gran Turismo 5 game to find Lucas' successor. The stakes are high, with an intensive race training programme and season-long drive in a Nissan 370 Z in the 2010 European GT4 Cup as the ultimate prize ! For more information, visit www.facebook.com/GTAcademy or www.eu.gran-turismo.com

The first stage will see competitors record flying laps on a time trial-based track available via PlayStation Network, accessed through PS3.

Stage 2 will see the holders of the 20 fastest online laps from each participating country qualify for their national final event. They will battle each other on another exclusive level for the chance to move to the next phase of the competition.

Stage 3 will see 20 finalists head to Silverstone for the GT Academy itself.

Stage 4 will see the two competitors with the talent, fitness, aptitude drive and determination to succeed in motorsport take part in a UK-based intensive driving and racing programme to prepare them to qualify for an international racing licence.

And then finally Stage 5 : there is just one place available in a Nissan run by RJN Motorsport in the GT4 European Cup. The opening race is in May 2010...

do you think the track will be revealed the day before or will we just have to wait until the second its downloadable?

What time does the PS Store update? Midnight?

Hopefully there is a dedicated GTPlanet user that will start a thread immediately on what track is on the demo for those of us that don't own a PS3 and want to live vicariously...

they usually update the store late thursday afternoons

I think the night before someone should make a demo thread for all information, however, that won't really stop everyone flooding the GT5 forum with new threads

You know already this thread will be started on here the second somebody know what track it is. In all honesty I dont know why they need to start a new thread on what track it is when there is a thread about what track it will be anyway.

There will be at least 10 thread about the demo about half an hour after the demo released. :sly:

That is so true. There should be more tight control over the threads on this forum and delete more rather than just lock them. This forum is out of control.

Well - I'll be down the pub when it's released - at least I'll get it when there's some bandwidth left!!!

Honestly, this is the most controlled forums I've seen. Sorry to bring up Socom, but honest to God, there must be 200 easy new threads a day in that board. This forum, gtplanet, is honestly the most civilized and mature forums I've ever seen.

But back on board- I will be trying my best to flip that car, and if I can't, will go for the best time I can do. I know I wont come close to the rankings, but I will have a blast.
