Some of you may be interested in this thread at TORCtalk.org. 👍

One of the members Joe Racer got a copy of the GT5 demo early (some pre release one), apparently the track is Indianapolis.... Not sure if the final release one is the same....

Nice find 👍 ,guess that answer the track questions. Can't wait to see how the physic is.
PS the running man (exit option) is back, only he's red this time

Hi mate, so u think the download will only be 219mb....or slightly more...??
That would be excellent.👍

It would probably be about the same, so probably a few hundred mb. 👍

Maybe I just find out on thu :) Hope they fix the little problem on the line.. otherwise sounds very good. 👍

Yeah, lets hope that is fixed. I posted in the thread at TORC asking, but we may not find out until Thursday, but at least we know a few more details now such as what the combo's will be. 👍

Crossing the line problem sounds like a online lap time registering issue. Maybe because it isn't set up fully yet.

They do GT Academy mainly for Europe and the track is Indianopolis? This doesn't make a sense for me. Maybe we will never see the Spa even in full GT5.

This is just my guess but I think they did that to level the playing field. Spa and Silverstone were featured in a few PC sims already so that give them the advantage of knowing the track. With Indy, everyone has to start from scratch.

Apparently round 2 will be another new track, IMO it's likely to be Spa, though only the top 20 of each country will be able to play it.

Not sure why the location of the track makes any difference but I guess they want a level playing field. If it was a popular European track some people may have driven it already in real life. The last one was at Eiger so no one would have driven that except in GT.

Edit: Too slow.

I'm just hoping that they will release that second demo after that round on Playstation Network.

There will be no 2nd demo, the first 20 won't play it online.
Going to practice on the track with one of my old F1 games now.
see ya :D

The pictures look nice.
I drove on the Indytrack a lot of times for a GTR2 competition.
Turns 4 up t 6 are a challenge. The rest isn't that difficult.

Those of you with PC sims are all probably downloading it now...I know I am :P

I think the last time I tried it though would be in TOCA 3 or F1 05 or something. From memory, while most of it seems fairly straight forward, there's a lot of time to be found through the middle sections. And the first braking entry will really show who the men are.

If that's true then let's hope that they release another demo, or an update to the first demo, just for the "Losers" (i.e. me :P) to trial the new track.:)

already posted?
