Wow another FAIL.

No damage
No improvement in graphics
No Skidmarks
No nice surprises!!

No, the sound in the video seems to be the same as in Prologue.

The shadows areas jaggy as in prologue, the spectators, the trees, everything is basicly looking like prologue.
But hey the video seems to be quite low res.

I disagree, after watching the video, i think the engine sound is quite a bit better.

This is a 370z. Its only a V6.

Its the V8s that people mostly complained about in prologue anyway.

EDIT:

Compare the video from the demo with this:

Engine sound has improved greatly (thats the tuned 350z from prologue, so aftermarket exhaust and sound proofing removed presumably - Nothing on the sounds in the demo at all)

You get whine of the engine but you get the low roar grunt of the engine like you would get in Forza.

Quick summary of the most important aspects:

From the German article:
• Graphic wise the game still needs some final touches
• Realistic cockpit views
• Road textures and especially spectator, grass and building textures look ‘sad’ and sterile
• Smoke looks the same on grass or road, and there's not much of it
• No movement of spectators (no animations whatsoever)
• Good difference in feel between the two cars
• No damage at all

That's too bad really, I wished they put a little more effort into it. Nevertheless, if the physics has been updated, I'll be playing this demo for quite a long time.

EDIT: I just want to stress the fact that this is what I can make out of the German article posted above. It's not my personal opinion.

• No movement of spectators (no animations whatsoever)
This is quite strange, i loved the animations of the (2D) spectators in Prologue.
But maybe the track is still a work in progress.

ZOMFG it looks like a real modern racetrack.

 Man i love you, keep up the good work.

Lol i know i try not to be so negative but when we have to rely on a German website for our first glimpse of this it really gets my back up - why couldn't PD put a video up of this on their website - because they are crap - thats why.

As for the fan boys having a go at me - PD could sell turds with a GT logo on them and you'd all snap them up.

Lets hope the physics have improved cos going by that video not much has changed - thats all I'm saying!!

So this demo is a prologue spec and not a gt5 spec....well i didn't really expect anything else as its purely made for the Gtacadamy...

spyrrari.

this is starting to break my heart :(, i guess i will live fine, and i will still be obsessed with gt5. but this further proves that they need to be forced to make the game, not just wait till its perfect.

You can't expect alot in a 220mb demo.

Even if it is 2 cars 1 track the game as a whole needs lots of space to get it going, then the file sizes for cars and tracks are small.

No its an early GT5 build, you can clearly see that theres a new physics engine in the video. Dont trust these German guys too much, they have mostly no idea what theyre talking about.

Choice:

Some lucky person with too much time on their hands wins the next Academy and gets to rag a car around a track.

Or GT5 released earlier for millions of fans.

PD get the game out instead of this crap!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can do all the competitions in the world after the game is released then!!!

So the people reviewing the demo didn't say anything about the physics or sounds? (besides the difference in 'feel' of the two cars, which was already evident from prologue...)

FFS i hate journalists who don't know what they're doing. They reviewed the graphics, thats about it. (Still way ahead of all their console Driving game competitors, including Forza 3 in many respects, no matter how bad those Germans think the graphics are)

EDIT:

I do believe Craste is talking out of his behind.

Ok,guess you are right...

Never trusted any German guy in my life ....:sly::sly:👍

Take a close look at this screenshot:

Beautiful cockpit, jaggy shadows, crappy spectators.

Come on PD.

That is crappy but..maybe....just maybe...they put lower textures to save on the download size so more people would participate in the event? Who knows.

The angle and field of view seem quite good. Throw in some head tracking, and that's perfect, at least for my needs.

Can't drive nor race without proper rear view.

I don't know... What about the whole: GT5 is nearly done, we just need to tune the game a bit and expand the career mode?

In my view, this game is miles from 'done'.

EDIT: And if you think about it, there's only one car on track. The visuals do not live up to PD standards.

No the graphics we saw from the nurb video were much better. This demo will have all non essential items turned down to save space. I would hope.

He said the game is done when you just want to race and you can race this way.
Also, you dont know what they used to take the pic, it is badly compressed and looks almost like a bad off-screen photo.

No way, this can't be it. It looks like the PSP version. This is even worse than GT5P. Why would they release such bad quality demo. I won't believe this photograph is real until this thing is running on my PS3.

I don't know if it's just me but to me prologue looks better than this demo (from what I've seen so far).
