New-Age Lotus in GT5-> It will be likely that these new Lotus' will be in GT5 (such close ties with PD since GT2 and the past introduction of the Evora).
Am I the only one who thinks that is a ridiculous statement?

So with pieces of metal in their hand, they did this on Sony/PD's lunch break?
Joking aside, I'm not sure why everyone is freaking. So T10 has decided to get TG on their game, whoopy do. This kind of stuff happens all the time, look at most major businesses. Someone does something ground breaking, then others try to follow and take advantage. What makes this so different?

Not all forza fans are uneducated.
What I meant was that stupid kids will see that T10 have put Forza in a shiny new package and think "OOH NEW GAME BUY BUY BUY" as they will form an uneducated opinion and not read up on GT5.
No doubt MS will put some TV commercials on to advertise it, and spread it around the internet a little to get people to buy it. PD have so far taken a much quieter approach to advertisement...F3 is more in the public eye than GT5, which imo is a good thing.
It would appear T10 are worried and want to do everything they can to soften the blow when GT5 arrives
And you think they'll be reassured by an old article which already was proven or at least regarded to be questionable at the time and proven wrong by Kaz himself?
Sound logic going on there.
Not really. Mkay.
I think its just people like to peep over next doors fence to see whats happening...
I personally have visited next door, Well after a £40 a year subscription, gift cars (that I then had to buy to unlock) and constantly having pre teen Americans shouting all manner of inaccurate abuse at me (mainly about my race and sexual orientation)
Next door isnt a nice place to be!
Unfortunately they've started buying PS3s too. Every bloody time I pop in to something online, there are a bunch of loudmouths with a limited insult vocabulary (has Sony implemented a VOICE MUTE feature yet).

But forza 3 is an excellent game, it has some really good cars featured that GT5 might not have unfortunately and the gameplay is well structured, yes the physics are not really up to sim standards, and the graphics are inferior but how the hell does that mean that forza 3 fans are uneducated, stupid little kids?

As a major GT5 fan I'd be more than happy to exchange all of the fluffy Top Gear content for some quality Fifth Gear content. I'm always surprised that so many people on here rate it so highly as it's quite obviously aimed at the lowest common denominator when it comes to cars.

I know that I've certainly had enough of watching three middle aged men with limited car knowledge having a mid-life crisis on daytime TV. With a bit of luck the upcoming Ben Collins TV show will be more of a car show and less of an exploding caravan show?
Top Gear is entertaining. Watching most dedicated car shows is more like work then entertainment. As a major GT5 fan I'd be more than happy to exchange all of the fluffy Top Gear content for some quality Fifth Gear content. It's a different type of show. Top Gear is steadily becoming less about cars and more about scripted comedy. Sure, it has cars, but the vast majority of viewers are not watching Top Gear for cars, they're watching for James May being a ponce and Jeremy Clarkson shouting "POWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!".
It's worth pointing out though that Fifth Gear's presenters and production crew were all on Old Top Gear, with Tiff Needell being on the show before Clarkson even, and Fifth Gear starting before Top Gear relaunched in the new format with Clarkson and Hammond.
Fifth Gear, while definitely lower budget, is definitely more for car enthusiasts.
Which is why I've always found TG a strange match-up to GT, since it's definitely not about the silliness.

TG is not associated with GT like that, only THE STIG and the test track, not Clarkson and the rest with their silly antics and scripted monologues.
It's literally just because it's a big name, people indentify with Top Gear as the pinnacle of/only car TV show.

Top Gear is sure fun, but as others have said, other than The Stig and the Test Track runs, it's all about wondering what lunacy will be on parade tonight. I much prefer Tiff and his "boring" analysis without all the rockets bolted to cars going off.
Of course with The Stig getting fired, I'm wondering what the big draw is going to be down the road. Will they create a Stag? A Stug??
Top Gear made it to GT simply because of the test track and how they continuously try to find the fastest car to go around it, which built a TON of hype. Look how popular the Nurburgring has become in the past couple years..
A game which allows you to have this kind of races can't be bad.
The guy is a bit of a nutjob, but they are having tremendous amounts of fun. The makers and publisher of this product are effectively questionable, but the game can be very fun and addictive.
It's a matter of choosing your playing environment, which we can.👍
The Nurburgring has been popular more than just a couple of years regardless of TG TTs way of getting hype/popularity.
To new, unknowledgable people of the racing sport it may have gotten popular, but it's always been one of the most if not the most renowned tracks.

Saw another GT5 tidbit on the TV today.
There was a Time Warner Cable commercial featuring Dale Earnhardt Jr. playing a console racing game online against a kid, then they'd show what they were playing and it was GT5. That isn't a guess either, as they actually added a GT5 logo in the upper left-hand corner of the on-screen TV screen so you knew what it was.
There was nothing new shown, they were just racing NASCAR cars at Indy, Dale in his own car of course, and the kid in Jeff Gordon's. I thought about recording it and putting it on YouTube, but since it was nothing new or exciting, I didn't.
Anyone noticed that the guy's hardly turning his steering wheel. There's probably like 5 deg of wheel turning in either direction.
