At 00:35, you can see how the car should have been spun out, but the back end seems to right itself as if it had rear wheels that could "turn" into the push. I've noticed this in many replays and am wondering if you guys think that it is just because of standard physics?

yeah thats been worrying me too, there was some older builds where you could spin the AI out and vice versa but now it seems the cars are able to hold it unrealistic

It was on standard physics, just play Prologue on standard and you get the same results.

I don't think so, as seen in that trailer, the "rollover system" in the physics is already done, they surely have their reasons for not showing it yet. They didn't show the final damage system either, so it's probably because they were working on damage in the last couple of weeks ...if we do get something new tomorrow I'm pretty sure it will be more damage footage, because that's the biggest feature they didn't show a trailer for yet. Next one would be the course maker I suppose.

Tuesday is Sony's Holiday Preview in Toronto. GT5 will be on display. I suspect it'll be a more final build and maybe it'll be there that Sony will announce that GT5 is Gold.

It was on standard physics, just play Prologue on standard and you get the same results

on prologue the collisions dont even work though in standard or pro physics

you ram a car in the back side and the whole car bumps away without spinning

Come to think of it, I do recall Kaz saying, and I quote, "probably not for GT5," when questioned regarding the inclusion of a livery editor, which implies that Polyphony are certainly working on something.

Famine and Venari asked him at Gamescom, which is when he said those words. Considering that was such a short time ago, I would not expect a livery editor in GT5, although I believe racing modifications (circa GT2) have been confirmed.

Sony don't normally (to my knowledge) announce that games are gold, or do they? Why would they do it for GT5, considering they have given us very little information overall so far? Besides, it matters not at all when it goes gold, only that it is not delayed again.

It's a strong possibility. I have a feeling this week Sony are going to start their marketing for GT5, after all, we are less than a month away and it is one of the most important games they will ever have released. There was that information that there will be something on the PS blog tomorrow morning as well, so that could be a part of it.

Gran Turismo 5 looks stunning! Graphics are polished as are the menus and other aesthetics. Sound is sublime, realistic and from my car knowledge – accurate.

It means the game is complete in development and testing, & is ready to be sold to the public on a given date.

According to wiki, that's right. It refers to the "Gold Master" which is the first finished copy and what all the other versions are made from. It's like the plates on a money press.

A while back I got an infraction for pasting a link from another site where we kept the PSN IDs from other users because it was easier to organize that way. It's against the AUP to advertise personal sites (even though it wasn't mine) so if you don't want an infraction, I'd remove that link asap.
