The we love cars making of showed the Lamborghini Diablo twice; 0:15 and 0:34... (orange car, next to yellow murcie).

The Diablo (race car) was in the japanese version of GT3 after all. Maybe it will be a standard model.

I agree, not taking them for granted. But I'm pretty confident in this case. To many Skylines not to accept it as a pretty accurate representation of the games car list

Or maybe it's just a representation of whatever 1/43rd scale cars the production crew could get their hands on?

They have an interview with Taku Imasaki (the main US producer of the series). Nothing really new is shown in the preview of the ep though. So it's still hard to tell if we'll get new footage or info.

Yea, I actually saw the box at Gamestop and on the back of it said the same thing. 950 cars. dunno what that is really about... seems kind of odd since we have always heard more then 1K cars.

I don't necessarily think that just because we've seen a certain model car in the We Love Cars advert that we'll see it in the game. We've seen countless model cars on the desks in Polyphony Digital's studios that have never made it into the games before.

Forget all that. It MUST be just made up of cars in the game!!!!

Yup. I saw that as well. Not sure it's a Cortina Lotus, but fingers crossed 👍

It's got a Sherwood Green stripe down the side, no qtr bumpers and a race number (59) on the boot (oddly) It's a Lotus Cortina for sure.

I've now retracted my previous statement on the grounds of irrational reasoning, so getting carried away is now wholly acceptable. IMO.

I'm sure I have never seen the Diablo, the Lotus Cortina or the MK I and II Escorts ever. Nor were they on the master car list.

(still doesn't mean anything...)

The Diablo, although it was a JGTC (now Super GT) model, was in the JDM version of GT3. So at some point they modeled it in PS2 quality:

The other cars you mentioned, not, though.
(GT2 had an Escort Rally Car, if that counts)

Very different stuff. The Diablo seen here is the street car.

As for the Mark One and Two Escorts, they are the first escorts, all RWD and much older than the 4WD Cosworth you are reffering to.

So I guess it's all new cars
(if they are included...)

Edit: downloaded and watched the 720p version. I can see the LandRover, The X6 and a white racing Mercedes 190 (?) @1m16s

(GT2 had an Escort Rally Car, if that counts)

The Escort that's shown in the video as a Rally car and a Group 5 racing car is a MkII, the one in GT2 was a WRC Mk5.

Edit: Hoping that Landrover thing is in the game. That will be extreme fun.
