I hoped for clarification by now..
Really hope it remains 3rd of November.

Mmm if they're really testing out the full version of GT5 at room 299 today + tomorrow,
I'm so jealous ! A friend of mine is going!

Yep, they are. I got an ivitation, but can't go, have to work :dunce:

I'm not getting an answer in the thread this is supposed to be in, but I forgot where can you pre-order GT5 in the U.S. and get the stealth 787B?

Bad news guys! (Sorry if posted!!!)

http://www.1c-interes.ru/catalog/all6963/10314186/
(I try to translate)

It says: "We temporary stopping taking preorders because of moving WORLD RELEASE date to unknown period. If you have already pre-ordered it, you will receive it when it releases.Information on exact release date will come later."
Edited: On top of the page it says: Delivery from 30.11.2010, means 30th of NOVEMBER. :(

(I think WORLD RELEASE DATE is little bit exaggerated...Maybe just in Russia)

Damn.I'm from Russia and already preordered it.Damn 1000 times. :(

Even if they were trying to do an international release, that still doesn't explain why it would be delayed an entire month. You could simply push back the other release dates to the 5th. And once again, that article is from Russia. No other country has reported a delay.

Apparently Sony Europe is inviting some journalists to check out the full game. There will be a presentation and those journalists will have two hours to check out the game.

Well most of the time I receive a invite as well for EU press events. But so far there is nothing in my mailbox. So either way Sony doesn't want me there or there ain't anything happening.
But it wont take long untill we get a ******** of GT5 news. Its only 3 more weeks till the launch, and with all the pre-orders they received they must be producing the GT5 discs now, only a matter of time till one leaks.

Will it still be possible to use manual gears in cars with automatic transmission in GT5?

I just did some research on the Nissan Skyline 350 GT from GT5P. Apparently that car only comes with an automatic transmission but GT5P does not seem to consider that as a reason to disable manual gear shifts. At first I thought the missing shifting animation was because the car could have shifting paddles on the wheel but it hasn't. There may be other similar examples but isn't this kind of randomness weird in a game such as GT? :odd:

I experienced something like that at Le Mans this year. I had a quick look inside a Playstation tent and saw a lot of people dancing to some annoyingly loud music. When I came back home again I realised that were demo stands for GT5 in there. Sad!

SL65 AMG comes with Automatic only transmision ;)

But i just can't imagine this car with automatic. It is just to great in prologue ... :nervous:

Wow. I've only been joking lately saying there'd be another delay. If this is true... I wonder what the excuse is this time?

:-|

Is there any reason these Russian sites would get information about a delay before SCEE officially announced it?

I really don't like that they allow MT transmission on cars that don't have that in reality. I hope this is sorted out in GT5.

What's all the trouble with GT5 in Russia all of a sudden?

I think it may be a translation problems.Remember closed GT5 and MOVE showcase in Moscow?I've asked those who were there about supporting a Russian language and they said that even official SCE-Russia don't know it!It's very important because we can always import US version and supporting a Russian language is all that matters in this choice.
Official site still says "November 2010", so 30th November may be true for us (in Russia).

Well in GT you don't really use it as a manual, you just tell the game when to shift and GT does the shifting, which in the SL55 does shift like a automatic. Unless of course you enable the clutch but you can't enable the clutch on non manual cars like the SL55 anyway.

If it's a delay for Russia only, then that seems reasonable. There's no reason for SCEE to make a Europe-wide announcement about delays affecting one country. Of course, SCEE have yet to make an announcement of any change to the UK release date despite every known retailer having moved the release to the 5th.

One thing that puzzles me about the responses to this rumour in this thread is that everyone's assuming that either it's a hoax, that it's wrong or that it means a global delay. There are plenty of reasons why a game could be delayed in one territory - localization being the most obvious - but not delayed elsewhere.

What is the difference? Telling the car when to shift is the problem. It shouldn't be possible to use MT when the real version comes with AT transmission.

Everybody, relax! (Except alucard0712 :))
The abovementioned delay is only for Russian Federation, as our local distributors are having troubles with CIS version yet again.
There's no need to spam SCEE and SCEA on release dates, hopefully you'll receive everything as it should be - the 2nd (USA), the 3rd (Europe) and the 5th (UK).
There was big misunderstanding as russian delay press-release mentioned "worldwide release postponed", but it seems they kind of considered CIS a whole "worldwide" region :D

Thank you. Makes sense now considering this info has only come from Russian sites. Sorry for your loss.
