Well, I guess now it's time to say "sorry, no GT5 delays for you" to Canada, South American countries, African countries, Trinidad & Tobago (thanks to FIFA'98 I know that country at all :D ) and of course, an icy Antarctica (those handsome penguins will have to wait for GT5 for quite some time).

That letter do actually exist, it was mailed to russian retail stores that hold GT5 preorder campaign.
Also, local Sony office in Russia exists too, and they have its gaming division (I dunno if it's officially part of SCEE). But they take care of hardware/software launches and language localization matters.

Thanks for the info, I'm about to get off work and go to bed so it will be a lot easier to fall asleep knowing there is no delay for most of us.

My friend, who was at the Belgium event, said the release date is still the 3rd of November.

BUT... I'm afraid they didn't have the full GT5 build running.

My friend isn't actually a GT-fanboy so he didn't really know what to look for,
but as far as I can tell it was more or less the TGS build.
They had rain, and night racing. Damage was implemented too.

I just found this a few minutes ago. A popup at IGN from GameStop was asking me to pre order GT5 (oddly enough it had the date as Nov. 4th), the interesting news is this

GameStop is starting a Turismo Tuesday's campaign where they post exclusive content on Tuesday's for GT5. Today's content has yet to unlock.

Hope it will be something new. I'm tired of this info blackout. At beginning of october hype was all way up, with Qore and all game events coming. Time was going so quick. Then it turned out that there was only old demos and footage. And now october seems to be the longest motnh ever :/

I'm not sure as it doesn't specify. I have it pre ordered from them although it's through my local GameStop and not the online store. Given that GameStop is advertising GT5, i'd assume that it'll unlock for everyone.

I was checking the PEGI website to see if it listed GT5 yet.
Maybe they work differently to the certification guys down under that "Amar" reported earlier. Perhaps PEGI only add a game to thier database when it either goes gold or releases, I dont know.

The game as we know is a "PEGI 3" title as the artwork already shows.

However the "USA ESRB Certification" does indeed share some info on their Classification:

"This is a driving simulation game in which players can select from hundreds of cars from real-world manufacturers and drive them through tracks modeled after competitive racing circuits. Players are encouraged to use proper driving techniques as they compete through time trials and international racing events. Some song lyrics contain allusions to suggestive content (e.g., "Got me caught without my pants . . . She do kill it"), while the title of one song contains the word "scumbag.""

They showed us Skidmarks in one build. Next build had Rain but didnt have Skidmarks ! The other build had Damage but didnt have Skidmarks & good looking Smoke !
Now there is only 3 weeks to Return of the King but they dont show us Full Experience (Skidmarks , Weather , Damage , Nice Smoke , ...) :grumpy::indiff:

I just pointed out that Russia is part of SCEE so it (Russia) can't be a major office like SCEE and SCEA. Don't ask me because I have no idea whether there is a local office in Russia.

Well, that Sony director in Canada also said the demo in Toronto was a "final product" so I don't know what's going on. However, there are just three weeks left so I actually prefer to experience the rest with my own eyes anyway.

It's part of the install process, you get to choose which two of those you would like in your game :lol:

The TGS build (the one with rain) did have skidmarks. From what was shown (weather and the randomly generated courses that was shown to the press) that was basically a near final build of the game.

Freshseth - I don't think you can run a UK copy in your playstation! Maybe find someone to trade with? If you can't, then all the stealth cars will probably be available as DLC within a few months anyway.

True, and if i'm not mistaken this is the first time that "the rain build" has reached Europe. Until till now we had to make do with a few rain movies from Japan. Hopefully that will change tomorrow when GTHQ.nl visits the event in Holland and will take some new footage (I presume).
