Personally, I think they should just forget about GT6 and concentrate on supporting GT5 with tons of DLC for the next few years. After all, what we are getting is the ultimate driving experience. All the delays must mean that he is cramming as much into the game as possible, so what more is there to add, apart from new cars and tracks? Or even other driving disciplines/tournaments, like Indycar or Touring cars?

Seems like Sony are using the 3 day "delay" as excuse to move the release away from black ops and/or kinect.......

I'm not bothered by that then. I think in all respect we should probably get mad at Sony by not backing themselves up in such an eventuality.

Sorry to sound so skeptical, but "production" issues sounds quiet vague to me. For sure at this point PD/SONY will not shoot themselves yet another bullet in the feet by divulging alarming/bad news about the game itself?
Those duplicating facilities are spread around the world, so is it likely they all faced the same issue? Or would Sony assume a global launch delay to preserve an almost worldwide release? Also by this day and age Im surprised we never heard about a little YKs tweet in the form of Rejoice, the game got gold!.
(how efficient would that cheap form of promotion be?). Anyway, as long as the Madrid launch party remains on the schedule, Ill try to remain confident and patiently wait for better news by the end of the month.

People who were crying yesterday and bashing GT5, should be embarrassed and not consider them self true fans... how can you say "im cancelling my pre-order" without knowing the reason behind the delay? :/

If the delay in March was clearly the need to tweak and perfect all the different aspects of the game, this seems likely to be a pure marketing strategy thing - Christmas is just around the corner from November 5th... and it's so tempting! Although technical difficulties might have created the scenario for a small delay, I think this is being taken as an opportunity by Sony to turn GT5 into a Christmas best seller.

A journalist colleague of ours, Gregor Wildermann, who is visiting Tokyo and Polyphony Digital passed on information of what Polyphony Digital head Kazunori Yamauchi had to say about the cancelled release date of Gran Turismo 5.His reply was that the game was only three days late from their side, and that Sony has to decide what that means for the release. And so far Sony have not given gamers a new date, but hopefully the wait won't have to be that long.

If that was the case then why wouldn't Sony have simply announced a Christmas release date back at E3?
November is a very good time to launch a big title. You are guaranteed large sales through December anyway but you also picked up large sales through all of November. Also as far as the US is concerned Black Friday (Nov 26th this year) is a very important shopping day. Sony would want GT5 on store shelves for that date so it could sell not only copies of the game but also PS3's and 3D HDTV's on the largest shopping day of the year.
I don't think Sony would sacrifice Black Friday sales in the US unless they had absolutely no other choice.
What don't people understand? The game missed the production date by 3 days. That production date would have been booked months in advance to allow for the burning of however many million GT5 blu-ray discs, booklets and whatever else. Other companies would have been booked in after GT5's date, to have their games produced (COD black ops NFS etc.). What that means is that Sony have to find time in their production schedules to produce enough GT5 games to allow for a world wide release.
