.So, they're looking at around the start of Dec? Roughly? , . More like start of Jan.
. Keeping the faith though
Toyota's stand at this year's Australian International Motor Show in Sydney will be playing host to a 24-hour race of Gran Turismo 5, beginning at 3pm next Tuesday, October 19, and running until 3pm the following day.
Sadly, while the race will be taking place on GT5's rendition of Germany's famous Nürburgring Nordschleife, that's about where the toughness ends, as only two teams will be competing in the race, and each team will consist of 24 members.
So, yeah, each driver will only be racing for an hour.
A journalist colleague of ours, Gregor Wildermann, who is visiting Tokyo and Polyphony Digital passed on information of what Polyphony Digital head Kazunori Yamauchi had to say about the cancelled release date of Gran Turismo 5.
His reply was that the game was only three days late from their side, and that Sony has to decide what that means for the release. And so far Sony have not given gamers a new date, but hopefully the wait won't have to be that long.
GTP bloga Sony Canada spokesperson to Reuters Canada, clearly stating that production difficulties were to blame for the delay.
Really? I'm betting that it's all Ben Collins' fault. Ben Collins jumped ship with his ill-advised autobiography, which has forced the BBC to find an alternative. If the BBC are rebranding the Stig, GT5's Stig-heavy content would be out-of-date before it even hit the shelves.
[Kim Jong-Il] Screw you, Ben Corrins [/Kim Jong-Il]
The Holiday season starts the day after Thanksgiving.
I wonder if they deliberately made the spray-gun look like a chamaeleon...
People who were crying yesterday and bashing GT5, should be embarrassed and not consider them self true fans...
All the crying and its only 3 days..
people should really get out of their houses and get a life.
Its pathetic.
On a similarly positive note, I have been privately informed that review copies of GT5 were only briefly postponed and should still be in reviewers hands within the next few weeks. I can also report Sony is targeting a new release window within approximately 8-12 days after November 26th (Black Friday in the United States).
Well good news Gt6 will not take 6 years but only 3 years :-)
We can? SCREW YOU OPRAH!!
Read, It isn't only 3 days, it's more than 1 month...
Wow this site have video with SLS driving at night. But SADLY opponent cars are not affected by your car lights...![]()
3 years... plus the "scheduled" PD trademark delays!
Seriously I still think it is a marketing decision. If the delay in March was clearly the need to tweak and perfect all the different aspects of the game, this seems likely to be a pure marketing strategy thing - Christmas is just around the corner from November 5th... and it's so tempting! Although technical difficulties might have created the scenario for a small delay, I think this is being taken as an opportunity by Sony to turn GT5 into a Christmas best seller.
What don't people understand? The game missed the production date by 3 days. That production date would have been booked months in advance to allow for the burning of however many million GT5 blu-ray discs, booklets and whatever else. Other companies would have been booked in after GT5's date, to have their games produced (COD black ops NFS etc.). What that means is that Sony have to find time in their production schedules to produce enough GT5 games to allow for a world wide release.
