I don't like thread police always taking everything so serious. I doubt that a considerable amount of people really try to reach this number, I know I don't, although it would be kinda cool to see it happen. It's often mentioned for the laughs, that's all and besides, everyone knows spamming will result in warnings and infraction points, so, thread police, chill out.

To tell the truth, I don't find it the least bit important. As long as the thread isn't locked, it will eventually reach x amount of pages. I just find it humorous as we wait in the dark for some news from Sony/PD. Nothing more. :sly:

Edit: Quick question. Where in the uk can I buy Gran Turismo 5: Collector's Edition? Is it only available from Amazon or has it sold out?

WRC is avarage at best, F1 2010 seems not be all that great too, I would advice you to try out "F1: Championship Edition", for the ps3 of course, best F1-console game ever. Turn all the major aids off and you're in for a realistic treat, especially with a wheel the game feels superb.
 
I'm starting to think There was a meeting before the dela at PD and some guy just said, why don't we delay it a bit more, just to mess with people, and kaz took it seriously and ended up delaying the game so he can ad some stuff to the game they can release whenever they want. It really blows that some people were really expecting this to happen Nov, 2 nad on top of that we still don't get any major news. Still I hope it gets here before 2011 and we don't get another delay.
 
I was able to get a pre-order for the collectors edition from Gamestop.. I just glanced at my order in my account and the shipping date on my order is: 1/1/2011!!!! WTF!!!?? has Polyphony or Sony said anything yet?? has anyone else that pre-ordered the Collectors Edition seen this????:nervous::ill:


Obviously the previous pre-order shipping date was: 11/2/2010............NoooooOOooo!!!

I wish them, and us luck. If we don't get a definitive release date by early november, I fear it will be 1st quarter 2011.

I hope that they don't spend much time asking Kaz about why it was delayed. That's not really important anymore, especially since we're supposed to have a new date before SEMA. There's plenty of other stuff that they can ask him.

Im leaning towards the 'Kaz is stuck in the bathroom and he doesnt know why this keeps happening theory',I mean,honestly.Doesnt it make more sense? Dont trust a PD date until you hear Feeder or Daiki Kasho singing the intro to GT5 on your t.v,even holding the game in your hand isnt enough,you can put the game in your ps3,click to install it ...and then,who knows?Kaz could get stuck in the bathroom again.I mean,it is a complex system he's trying to work out

That is just a guess date. I pre-ordered the SE from Amazon and they have yet to contact me or change their date (11/2/10). Amazon is probably waiting for a FIRM date.

The longer a new date is not announced, the more the given reason for the delay looks like yet another lame excuse.
 
Why are you guys getting all uppity over the release date or the shipping date? Come on now, the 1st of January is just the placeholder date so they can say they got it to you on time. If it comes after than they're in a load of trouble, so undoubtedly it'll be delivered and available before that.

Do you even know that the dates given by shops are just placeholders?

There is no official release date until Sony/PD announce it.

You know,I still have that video,in fact,I watched it yesterday.The one where Kaz says expect GT5 WILL be released one year after the ps3's release.if GT5 releases on the 1st of january,I'll be happy I can play it but sad if the mayans were right,in which case we waited 4-5 years..and get to play it for 1.

It depends. Is the word "short" the same as "soon" in Japanese?

Joking aside, next week would be right if the given reason was the real reason. By next week they should have a firm production schedule, hence a firm release date. Let's hope so.
 
um,question.didnt they announce a 'mercedes benz driving challenge'? I expected to download it off psn haha.silly me,getting my hopes up.All GT fans,remember,we must expect the best but prepare for the worst..

Well today is monday where I am. If it was a disc pressing issue that caused the delay then they should be able to look in the schedule and work out a new release date as they would already know how long it will take to press the discs and distribute them.

I smell fish tbh.
 
SCEE said they should be able to give us the new release date by the end of the month.

They're likely going to have to have other publishers move their stuff around in order to fit GT5's production in and that's going to take a little. If they could've announced the new date in less than a week then they would've just held off on announcing the delay on Wednesday. That way they would've been able to tell us the new date right when it was delayed.
