Its the tuned one from GT5P.

If you watched the latest videos in the news section you may have noticed that above the cars hes selecting, it says "concept car class" and 'tuned car class".... im pretty worried about this, i hope its not turning arcady...

this is probably me being paranoid.

Yes, it's the same as the tuned one in GT5:P and yes it's you being paranoid.

So doesn't that confirm that body kits/mods are in the game and not just rims and wings? Would be weird if they just included random modified cars for no reason.

"GT" Cars have been about since the first game. I don't think that hints at anything other than that. 👍

I'm looking through GT4 cars and I can't find, yet, random evo or sti or gtr with body kits or wings or anything like that.

GT cars came in prologue..?

Yes. Any of the Gran Turismo cars.

Nissan GT-R LM Race car
Impreza LM Race car (I think it's called Super Touring car in GT4)

I can't recall anything for any of the Evolutions.

Only thing i'm worried is that those Tuned cars on GT5 Prologue are being counted as separate models, their name is different. A tuned car to counted separatly has to be like the HPA Golf, or like the HKS CTR230, but not the GT ones with just a different spoiler.

(yes, i'm aware of LM models on previous games, but those were completely different version from their stock couterparts).

That's a cheesy way to clone cars. I love the 1000+ number, but this got me worried. You can put togheter a tuned car with the in game parts, you don't need separate models just to up the car count.

On those CES videos, i saw two Lancers and the TVR, having "tuned" on their names.

Since it's not anything official, i can only hope those cars are not being counted as individual models.

Yeah, it's cheesy, but Forza 3 is just as guilty if not worst. At least the tuned cars in GT5 look different from the originals as they have extra parts or carbon fiber hoods etc, while Forza clones extra cars by just painting a Forza logo on them and calling them a 'Forza Special Edition'.

In the end if there are 100 clones and 100 skylines that still leaves around 800 unique cars which is good.

As for 3-D, why are those televisions so special? Any television with a high refresh rate around 120 hz should be able to dislplay 3-D just fine. If the PS3 gets the firmware upgrade I dont see why you would need anything other then a 120hz+ television and 3-D glasses.

And when are we going to see the REAL GT5, the GT5 with full damage, rollovers and 16 cars?

About the tuned cars. I doubt there will be many of them though. Because think about it there's not going to be a tuned version of every single model. Maybe only 15 or 20. So it wont be that much of a big deal.

But something else I've been thinking.. Maybe you can upgrade your car to the tuned version. Like that thing they had in GT2 where you can convert it to the race car and all that. So instead of having it as a separate car, it's an upgrade after you've purchased it. I might be wrong but it's an interesting thought in my opinion.

Edit: Or they'll have it both ways. Some tuned versions and for the rest of the cars it's offered an upgrade.

Genuine real tuned cars like the CT230R, Amuse Nismo 380RS, Amuse S2000, Mines GTR etc will be seperate cars, but most of the GT tuned cars like the TVR, Evo IX, Evo X I don't think will even exist in GT5. They were put there as competition to the other tuned (real life) cars in the race. Saying that however we should be able to use the parts these GT tuned cars feature, like the aero, body work, wheels, steering, seats, rollcage, exhaust etc.

However some of them (GT tuned) like the Amuse/Opera 350Z tuned car (in GT5P and CES) will exist as this is a copy of KY's personal tuned 350Z, he even designed the body work himself.

The most recent issue of Famitsu PS3+PSP has GT5 listed in the contents. It's been out since boxing day, now we just need somebody in japan to have a flick through and see if there's anything good.

http://www.famitsu.com/ps/

I finally had a chance to check out the magazine today. Unfortunately nothing new. Just a listing of all of GT5's showings to date (E3 etc.) Only one page and no new pictures.

I hate the fact tuned cars are the ones counted to number of 1000. I have been hating those in GT5P because of unrealistic behaviour and yet worse sounds. I don't drive them at all.

And does it mean that we will be not available to tune our cars freely (engine, suspension, bodykits, wheels, livery) but will be just stuck with those "tuned" versions?

Fact? What fact?

Unless you mean tuned cars from HKS, Amuse etc. The others are GT Tuned cars and if you look at the official GT5P car count at the time of spec II it's only 60, which doesn't include the GT tuned stuff.
