Maybe there is a CVT version and a version with an engine, like the Citroen GT has a version with gears and a version without.

I would find the option to adjust the downforce or ground effect levels created by the fan whilst driving more interesting and significantly different from every other car included.
It would require an entire new set of skills and another approach needed when driving this car and would justify a tutorial by Seb Vettel dedicated purely to this car which seems to be the case.
Ofcourse speculative but that fan is perhaps driven independantly from the engine and therefore possibly adjustable, if not those paddle shifters could indicate something else ( a different version perhaps ).

Hey I was looking on the razor promotion website and noticed the package says Limited Time PSP system. Hopefully they didn't print thousands of razor packages with the wrong information.

Wow if you are a winner you'll be waiting till April of next year to get your prize.

Sorry...
You are not a winner. Come back and play again tomorrow.
You are automatically entered for a chance to win the Grand Prize 3D HDTV.
One winner will be selected from all eligible entries on or about 4/8/11.

Off topic, but does anyone know if the October 27th full on GT5 review that was basically supposed to reveal everything was delayed as well?

This was asked this yesterday and someone said that it had been canceled. But I haven't seen anything official.

KY: "I have in fact tried driving an F1 simulator before. I only have one thing to say about the experience… I really envy that incredible hardware and facility! I want to try using that hardware with GT5!"

I think he might be saying that GT5 could compete with a F1 simulator if it had the hardware.

I had one thought, imagine how the X1 with 1500 hp and the fan behind would sound

I doubt the people who designed the simulator software are more talented than PD. Unfortunately their data should be much more complete and the hardware is way beyond your house setup.

not to mention they don't have to create a true physics model. all they have to do is create out an f1 car ( specifically just 1 ) and make that work like it should. they don't have to worry about multiple cars, AI, times of day, track detail nothing. its all about Simulation, no so much bells and whistles.

I'm pretty sure it's a custom build of iRacing.

GT5 is still massively announced at Paris Gameweek next week.

Apparantly they took inspiration from this futuristic looking machine ( notice they even copied the enclosed wheels ) as they were impressed by the sound it created when a RedBullRacing employed cleaner used it in Newey's office ( the name even starts with an X too ).;)

Laguna Seca, Monaco and...? :)

BTW I'm really looking forward to SSR11! Glad if it will be included! (beautiful and complex track!)

The weather effects trailer showed what seemed to be a completely revamped SSR11 reverse, although there's nothing clear or confirmed yet about it.

Hoping for SS City circuit (all interconnecting SS stages).

Something like the original Project Gotham would be cool, like a "open world" type level set in a city, for example NYC midtown is basically a 10x10 block open range.

Their should be cops on the streets too that you have to get away from

edit: and unlockable missiles/machine guns to add on cars

Dang it people... Could it be that the delay of the game release has to do with cross-promotion with different products.

Seeing the new Schick advertisement and gifts had me thinking...

In addition to the latest Subway prizes... Sony and other companies must be realizing how much they can get out of the delay of such an anticipated game.

Lots of Mulla to be made while we all wait for this game...

Are they going to make us wait more and more, so that all the company can get on this bandwagon... Because once out, this game is not able to draw anymore money from us to those corporation... what's next? Gas Station doing promotion to have us come to their pump stations in exchange for GT5 Themes pity gifts and souvenir???

Souvenir of what??? the endless delay and the infinite wait??

Maybe Tokyo Xtrame Racer / Shutoko Battle would be a more fitting example for comparison.
It uses a network of real roads from Tokyo. Special Stage tracks in GT are clearly inspired to them, so the concept could be expanded to use a network of roads in a fictional Tokyo-inspired metropolis (of course without the itasha/illegal racing/"underground" stuff).

I honestly am starting to think that the delay is a last ditch effort to push more 3D Televisions during the holiday season. Just check out Aussie promo.

lol thanks for not jumping on me with the "check all the 2000 page thread before posting fool" malarky. On a side note, I read post 1 to 1000 of this thread before I joined haha that makes me look really sad.
