Advice for Sony: Release the game first... then based on that, people will eventually buy the 3D TVs...

Are they really thinking we all have money to spend on a whole package all at once??

PS3 + GT5 + TV3D ??? = +$3000


Let people buy the game and the PS3 first... then when they realize their old tv doesnt do justice to the game, they will do whatever to get the TV...

That's my take on it...

If we dont see anything yet, very few of us will get the package blindly.

But Packaged or not, it comes down to the same.... eventually Sony will get the revenue... does not make sense.

lol thanks for not jumping on me with the "check all the 2000 page thread before posting fool" malarky. On a side note, I read post 1 to 1000 of this thread before I joined haha that makes me look really sad.

Why would I feel the need to jump on you as your intention was the same I had when I posted that same article only a few hours ago, sharing a bit of info.
It only appeared today anyway, it's not old nor something everyone should know by now, like asking whether a certain Stuttgart-based company is included or not.....

Apparantly they took inspiration from this futuristic looking machine ( notice they even copied the enclosed wheels ) as they were impressed by the sound it created when a RedBullRacing employed cleaner used it in Newey's office ( the name even starts with an X too ).

It's a turbine engine, it should sound like a vacuum. At least they'll get this one right.

I say real and clips from the US Top Gear... but all is not lost as I think the fact we're talking about this points to huge credit to Kaz and the team for making a game thats so brilliant that we're confused by real images, I mean GT5 images... wait no real...GT5...no, no... certainly real..ly GT5.

Actually, I'm kinda glad it got delayed my mom recently threw a bill on me causing me not to get the game on the 2nd. But hey I just want GT5 it doesn't really need to be perfected no game is going to be perfect. So hey good for me either way.

Side note: Engine sounds in GT NEVER mattered to me. The GT series has sold hundreds of millions of copies and everyone wait till now to start complaining about engine sounds. Ehhh whatever

I wonder what concept cars GT5 will have, they add to the longevity of the game since you can compare the real versions when they releases in real life to the concept versions in the game. I suppose the focus will be on hybrids this time round and less on all out speed focussed concepts. It would be funny if GT5 implemented an endurance race with only limited number of fuel refills so the focus would be on driving slow! Doubt that will happen though.

Monaco was already shown in the gt PSP intro with the f1, so Monaco was confirmed long time ago

It's clearly a shot of Cote d'Azur and it's a screen that was given to Car by PD. It doesn't get much more official than that.

"Is Porsche involved in this edition?

Sadly no. There were some licensing issues."



Although this one offers hope for the future :

Very sad indeed, I do wonder however what these licensing issues really involved mind you, what if they actually served alcohol without a license during working hours at their Stuttgart HQ which consequently lead to them making some curious decision like giving their permission to build the Cayenne and Panamera ( as alcohol makes a lot of things more pretty than they really are ) or maybe in a drunken haze unwittingly signed a deal with EA.......
At least they're now having a new CEO instated by 'angry parent' Volkswagen to hopefully put and end to these shenanigans.

They can officialy say "Monaco is in"... We must analyse every screenshot to find out details...

They delayed the game, ok, that makes a lot people angry! But delay means not we got to stop giving infos or make some advertise for the game... So 2 months to release, why always this hide&secret game for years?

The average person that sees that screen probably wouldn't recognize that it's Monaco. But that screen isn't just being released to any magazine, it was released to Car magazine. So you're going to have a bunch of people that know about race tracks seeing it. They'd be able to recognize that it's Monaco.

Man, we already got so much! There's nothing wrong with leaving a few surprises for the full game

We know that 800 cars from the old GT series will be in, so what´s the problem to gave out some screenshots of things we already know?

Really I can´t see the SLS anymore! If I would not see this car in the game every day, I would really be in love with this car...

I must say seeing the standards in action, they don't look as bad as people were making them out to be, there were actually a lot of standard cars in the video

I think you may have picked the wrong quote... You replied to my comment about US top gear and the video of the viper dodging the helicopter...

As for Monaco, yes I know its been more or less comfirmed eons ago because its in GT psp... I drive on it often,

my monaco comment was saying if monaco is all but confirmed then thats good news about other tracks in GT psp
