I'm still getting used to mine, I can hold a slide and drive relatively ok but it takes time!!! I still can't drift yet. The new physics i'm worried I won't be able to drive properly, and drive like in the ford gt lm spec.

For you people that has a real driver license and car, when you play GT5(or Prologue if you havent played 5) is it anywhere near the real deal? The racers I have played(mostly old ones) on arcade machines havent realy felt like a real car.

I think that is normal once you get the feel for it. The biggest problem in going from the wheel to the controller is controlling oversteer. Where you have gotten used to just a quick flip of the thumb you now have to move both hands a considerable amount especially if you are a bit slow to react and the FFB will fight you as well. Is a lot of fun but takes practice.

At first, me to. But just wait till you try drifting for the first time with a wheel. I actually screamed at myself the first time I tried. Now though, I can take the F430 to Eiger, set the physics to pro, and have a hay day with it. It just takes some getting used to. Once you've got it, you'll eventually end up being better with the wheel than with a controller.

I am new with a wheel and it is going quiet well in GT5P while racing. But I have problems with keeping the car on the road when it is breaking out. Same is for drifing I just can't get it done. Any suggestions? I use pro physics and FF on 10 with my G27.

That shouldn't be a worry, unfortunately..

Haha, yeah, you're right about that! I've had it on order for a while now and the other night I got an email from Play saying:

"We have recently been informed by the manufacturer of this product that the release date has been changed to 01-Aug-2010."

I had to do a double take, when I first read it I thought it said 01-Aug-2011! Still, a strange email to receive seeing as we are well past August now

Very true but what if you find it easier just using one hand :P that's how i drive for real 1 hand at 12 o'clock same goes for using a wheel on GT ;)

Yes it is quite a lot like the real thing if you have a good wheel. It is hard to control at first as you are typically going much faster than you would IRL.

Depends on what car you own, but for the most part it is close. And I've tried GT5, The physics are much improved. Even less forgiveness, hah.

Oh shoot!!! I struggle a fair bit in prologue with powerful cars on pro, no aids. I'm going to throw the wheel out of the window with frustration if there is less forgiveness.

I think I may have just misinterpreted that last sentence there. Are you saying that less forgiveness doesn't necessarily imply better physics?

At least it's better than "November 2nd".
This way we know that this poster was created after the delay ...and "November 2010" is better than "Holiday 2010" ;)

Actually I believe Europe was not going to get the game until Nov 3rd anyway so that poster could be pretty old.

Hold the "ctrl" key and press the "-" key(the one right next to the plus and minus key), should bring everything to normal.

Ctrl+0 will reset your zoom to default.

It is also a name.

Yep Noel is a name, Noël however is French for Christmas and the text on that poster "date de sortie du jeu" translates to "release date of the game" apparantly although that's probably old news as well and probably another placeholder.
