Even though its a gaming forum they also have real life topics such as Nascar, F1, automotive etc he is a pretty active member on this forum. We all want the game, I want it bad as hell man  at least I get my fix playing the GT5 demo at Game Stop.

Haha ... I know man. I read your posts I think in the Demo thread. I'm in NJ as well, and found a Walmart and Gamestop in the SAME shopping complex (North Bergen) with the demo. I really don't want to play it before it's out, but it's kinda hard to stay away when it's so close.

Anyways, I don't have anything against anyone here, it's overall a great community. It's just that if I'm venting, let me be :) I also included that bit at the end of the post he originally replied to.

It's all good... see you guys later. Time to hit the gym and then the zoo. Hope the animals come out if it rains, otherwise we'll be looking at pigeons and squirrels. lol.

Ha this was a great release! Unfortunatly due to ongoing production issues they had just 50 copies and according to the stream they are now gone. More charges to be delivered within the next months.

About 10 minutes before Sony makes thier statement today. Hopefully it will tell us the release date if not then maybe Sunday.

They just forgot their 'half promise' to announce a new release date by the end of the month.

Dunno what your calendar looks like, but mine looks like this

True, that's possible, the Standard video could be more about hiding secrets than giving an accurate view. But surely after seeing the fallout, and that it's now been months since that video... you'd think PD would show something about Standards. I know I'd want to.
PD has a history of both over-hyping (GT PSP) and hiding details (Car/track lists, completed final builds). If they showed something that looked phenomenal everyone would still be skeptical.

Admittedly, it's a guesstimate, but I'm basing it off of numerous bits of data provided by PD themselves.
But all your data is for premiums. If, as you say, they are even using an older modeling format then that data can barely be applied in anyway. If the modeling systems were similar, just less content for one, then your guesstimate would be more likely. On top of that there is too much data missing to know much of anything.

I think you've got a mixed up idea of my views on Standards. We can always head on over to the ole' haunt if you'd prefer ;).
As I said, you seemed to be complaining about the situation itself. It is likely I just misunderstood.

Saturday and Sunday are not office days. It is very unlikely they will announce it over the weekend.
What does it matter if they are office days? From what I hear they have a slot on Sunday in Paris. I see no reason we should dismiss the possibility that they could make an anouncement at that time if they have not already done so by then.

Oh really? That press conference in Paris on sunday has to be a lie then. I mean, nobody would work on a sunday, right???

Edit: I think this thread should get some more promotion.

Hardly, it's a presentation similar to the one today. And no, nobody at SCE does work on a Sunday.

On another note, that means they would have to have worked the release date out by now, and so there is no good reason they would leave it until Sunday. If they don't announce it now in Paris, I fear we could be looking at another indefinite delay.

Indeed it is. And therefore it's presumably an equally valid time to announce it.

That will be true of whatever they're announcing on Sunday. However they do have a presentation on Sunday, and it's reasonable to assume they'll be announcing something in it regardless of that fact.

As far as I'm aware, none of us know what these two presentations are for, so we can't make any assumption that one is a more valid time for the announcement than the other.

I fear we could be looking at another indefinite delay.

As the rumors about a early December release date were growing bigger during this week, I think that we'll have a date by Sunday.

Any streams or live blogs from the Sony conference today?
