I know and I understand they don't wanna make another false start, but I just hope they also underderstand we need information quick! The way there acting right now makes it look like they don't give a **** about their fans and I am 100% sure that nor Sony as Polyphony Digital don't want that.
Yeah, I hear what you are saying, it is annoying being in limbo like this! We shouldn't have much longer to wait.

Ow lieve schat, da zie je toch! Laatste nieuws op de home-pagina.
Did you read the AUP when you signed up?! ;)

I would say that is highly likely to be the reason, yes. They absolutely cannot afford another false start, so this time they are playing it safe by getting stock out there first. After that it is a known quantity and they can announce a date accordingly.

I really can't see why they don't just release it as it rolls off the production line now; they missed the original release target, but if the product is finished there's no point in having it sat around when they could use the scarcity tactic as Ninty did to drum up demand and hype.

(It's got nothing to do with the fact I've pre-ordered the Signature edition, which I'm hoping would be the first of the versions to be finished and shipped... :sly:)

So, we can assume that they are going with a very tight schedule for the release (in other words, SOON)? If they were planning for a late december release or even further, they'd have more than enough time to ship and prepare for launch, and could have had safely announced the release date already.

If the news about the games being shipped is actually true then it's very likely that we'll see the game's release very shortly after the official release date is announced, because no wholesaler is going to want to be holding onto massive amounts of stock for a month just because Sony want to run a month-long advertising campaign.

With the games being out there leaks are inevitable, and the longer they sit in a warehouse the more and more material will start showing up online, and I doubt that Sony want that, so they''ll need to get the discs shifted as soon as everyone has got their delivery.

Hi again. Back on page 2389 I made my 1st post on these boards, and I think it went completely unnoticed because of the delay for approval. Basically I'm curious as to how GT5's head tracking feature will be done without 3D glasses. Are the LED's on Sony's glasses required for head tracking? Does the PS eye respond to any old cranium-mounted LEDs or will I really have to spring for official 3D specs to take advantage of this feature? Perhaps head tracking is only in 3D mode? Questions without answers, help!
Thanks

There's people here saying games have been shipped to France? In the news you can read that it will be # copies in France, not that it was shipped.

I totally agree with what people are saying, nobody is going to want to hold onto massive amounts of stock, but if SONY want a global release in the same week, somebody is going to have to!

Leaks are absolutely inevitable, and as the days/weeks progress I'm sure we'll get a lot more. I do think though, that we will not have much of a gap between the release date being announced and the games release. Two weeks notice is plenty to get retailers ready for the big day.

Hello to all from a new user from germany :)!

Yes, I registrated here for read about the mega-troll  but now his bad game is over i hope!

I wish all an nice week, and for CZ i have an intresting game: Go to the next highway and catch the lights of cars...

That's true. Has there been any confirmation that they are actually shipping the games right now, or are we just assuming?

Having worked in logistics, I can safely say that if they are gunning for a late November/early December launch, they had better be shipping stock as we speak (shipping could just mean on a truck from the plant to the distributers/wholesalers in the same country).

I ended up going to bed last night after waiting for the vids, without going back 30 pages did we get any in the end? By the look of the last few pages and no update on the homepage i'am guessing we did'nt that we did'nt.

But aren't we speculating on the late November/early December launch solely on the assumption that they are shipping the games as we speak?

Also, I have a very bad feeling about the release date not being announced yet.
Its hard to believe that GT5 is about to become the 1st big game in history to get a release date announcement 2 or 3 weeks before the actual release. Did this ever happened with any other big game before?

I think the PSeye uses face recognition technology for the head tracking, im not sure about that though, i did see a video of the head tracking a few pages back and they werent wearing 3D glasses.

That's right. There was nothing. Don't about CZ, but the other guy on NeoGAF was banned for this whole waste of time.

From what i recall, it ended that CZ and Jeseus were the same person

GT is officialy making trolls go shizophrenia :D

It's a face tracking feature. Even on some Move tech demos, they have programs tracking the face/head without any LEDS or anything.

Yes, we are speculating, but being honest, as much as I want the game, this expectation of knowing the release date weeks or even months ahead is kinda' artificial. We don't need to know so far ahead, and nor do stockists. It's just pure self-generating marketing.

Back in the day, the only time you know of a games existence was because you either saw it on the shelf or you read a review of the game in a magazine. Now we have years of hype and as a result, all this chaos and confusion!
