I saw this news regarding the release of GT5.I dont know how credible it is..and I dont want to get exciting for nothing again..but for some reason it makes sense.

http://www.canada.com/technology/personal-tech/Nintendo+price+cent/2029183/story.html

In the article specifically..it says.."In a move to further expand a pool of popular software titles for its game console, Sony said it plans to launch the latest installment of its highly anticipated racing game series "Gran Turismo 5" in March."

It's dated sept 25 2009.. so yea it was old/legit news then.

That's an article from last September :-)

Just for kicks, I emailed Aston Martin the other day to ask them if they would be in GT5. They said:

Dear Mr P.

Thank you for your enquiry and interest in Aston Martin.

Unfortunately we are unable to confirm any involvement at this current time.

Regards

Brand Communications Team, Aston Martin

No suprises really, but figured I'd share it anyway.

Uhm..
I think that's enough to know they'll be in and represented in the game. Not that it's any surprise since the DB9 was in GT5p

This, of course they are in GT5.
I just hope the DBR9 will be in too.

Quick question :I just opened the GT TV and all the videos are now displayed in a whole new way ,did this happen to anyone else and will the new GT TV look like this?

Hey guys, I kinda have some good news. Sony somehow squeezed some 70 MB additional RAM out of the PS3, so, let's assume GT5 is gonna hit the stores in summer or later, Polyphony would have enough time to use this additional RAM for let's say dynamic weather or dynamic day-night cycle, what do you think?

Thanks for the effort ;), could you also contact Maserati? Maybe the Italians are less thight lipped.
But seriously i didn't doubt for a minute Aston Martin wouldn't be included as they have been since GT1, as they ( and TVR ) were the first of the premium car makers present in every edition so far.

could you take a photo/screenshot? my PS3 is temporarily not connected to the internet : |

Sure I'll try in a while but just to make sure not to make fun of myself

for me GT TV old had all the videos under eachother and you can't delete any video you downloaded as of the new one videos are listed next to each other like the dealership with thumbnails and the option to delete the video you downloaded any thoughts?

It doesn't really work like that. RAM is only one part of the system, you could put some data in it but it would still need to be processed by cpu/gpu for whatever use you wanted to use that data for.

Quick question do all of you have your GT TV menu look like this?

yeah I opened it an hour ago and it had a completely new look but now it is back to that picture again.Any thoughts?

Well I always had issues with the controller with GT4, maybe it was because of the massive dead spot or input smoothing, but it's really hard to hold a car on the high speed banked oval turns, or keep a RUF steady, or stop fish tailing around when you try to correct an oversteer or drift.

Now I finally got around to really playing GT4 with a DFGT wheel for a fair bit, and at first I thought the feedback was not so good.
But the car control was superb. Somehow the physics seem to act differently with the wheel. I was able to finally pull off controlled drifts in stock cars with N2 tyres! 👍

Some of tracks I tried at first, it didn't seem that great feedback wise. But when I did the High speed ring it felt great, and the rally tracks. You can feel all the bumps and stuff.

I went onto the Le Man track with the Nissan LMP for the Internationl A license test 16 - holy crap, talk about mega bumps and unstable feeling flying down that long straight at over 370+kph!!!!
Damn the wheel was tugging all over the place - iRacing eat your heart out :sly:

Car control on the Nurburging is so sweet. It feels somewhat bumpy with the DFGT. It finally made all the license tests on the Ring a lot less stressful and I can finally have some fun on it!
Just stay off those high curbs the Ring has, it'll send you out of control real quick! The physics are not too shabby in GT4, with a wheel. A lot better than I used to think...

You can really feel a big difference between all the cars now. RR RUFs are a handful, but the left foot braking you can do with the wheel helps keep it stable. 4WD drive and FWD understeer. MR feel sublime and balanced. FR somewhere inbetween

So much more immersive with a wheel vs the controller - highly recommended 👍
GT5 is gonna turn up the wick x 2

I'd think Kaz would have PLENTY of ideas about what to do with 25% more RAM. (70MB of 256MB total). Maybe even enough ideas to want to DELAY releasing the game. Just MHO.

Yeah, my DFGT is with me for three weeks so far, and I found the driving a lot easier with it, now i'll start saving for a G27. 👍

This is more of a "We can't reveal you to any details at this point", rather than, "We don't know if we will be in or not", kind of response.
