Chassis Reinsforcement. Besides stiffening up the chassis, what else does it do? Has anyone add this modification to their car?? Makes me think twice about getting it since once it's installed, it can not be taken off the car. What sort of improvements does it bring to the car? Is it better, worse once installed? Most of the high end race cars I've acquired thoughout the game don't have this installed, so I figured why is it there as an option in the first place??

If it is anything like it's implementation in GT4, then what the extra rigidity does is make your car more responsive to changes in the suspension by remvoing some of the masking effects of the chassis itself flexing and warping.

However, on bumpy tracks this can make your car handle worse rather than better.

Of course, it might be "all good" in GT5 with no negatives to consider. It does have the benefit of meaning that it is twice as long before you have to rebuild the chassis.

Does someone know a way to download the GT5 version of moon over the castle how daft of PD to leave it out of the european version 👎

How daft of you to blame the Developers for the choice of music. Sony are the publishers (in your case, SCEE) and therefore the ones that do the soundtrack, not PD.

Is that the one in GT Auto or Parts Shop? If Parts Shop, it makes the car more stable and easier to turn, and is needed with all of the weight reductions.

.....the GT Auto one...... Im not too sure of.

So I have a question...

Last week, sadly, my 60 gb PS3 suffered the YLOD. She was an old bird, bought during launch period. I knew she was on her last legs, the fans would whirr and whine with effort with any sort of gameplay. So once she died I needed a new ps3 of course, and bought me a sexy new 160gb slim (at a bargain from Wal Mart of all places that included Uncharted 2, Medal of Honor and a $100 gift card). Now with the new ps3, I will have to restart my GT career, and while initially bummed about this, I am kind of excited to start with the knowledge I have and what cars work well in each event.

The question I have is this.. I bought the CE of GT5 and of course those came with the chrome line cars, also I got the stealth Mclaren F1, Will I be able to redownload the cars. I mean will PSN recognize that my account indeed did download the cars and let me download them again? Or is it more of a one time thing?

As long as you are using the same account you originally used to download them, then yes, you should be able to see them in your download history in PSN Store. 👍

EDIT: Hmmm this got me thinking if it is indeed possible as what would stop people downloading the same car to their account over and over? Possible exploitation? I cannot test as I have let my friend take the PS3 until the new year.

You can download the files as many times as you want, only one car will show up in the game if they're in the garage already. If they've been gifted, however, I have no idea.

i found a nice bug. rx-7 GT-X.

From cockpit view. look at the rev counter. It only revs to 4000
Now look at the HUD rev couter. That almost goes to 8000 :P See the diffrence? Cockpit acts like a diesel!

Ops :D Just assumed PD would recommend it,Still a Daft Choice None the less By Sony this time.

I thought the install was only 10GB?

Nope it's definitely gone pass 10, i checked it on the xmb in game data and it said 12GB, i would post a pic but my B-Spec Bond is currently doing the Tsukuba 9 hour and won't be finished till 12:30 this afternoon.

wat

It's game content. It's compiled by the developers. That includes any ambient audio and music. Everything you hear while playing GT5 is a result of Polyphony, not Sony's publishing arm.

As far as I'm aware, no publishing company has full control of any soundtrack for any game. Some contents maybe, such as Tapha Niang's lyrics, perhaps. But even for a first party studio like Media Molecule, it was next to nothing.
