Yep, the old rubber band is back.
Like a rubber ball I'll keep bouncing back to you., bouncy, bouncy...... bouncy bouncy.
720p should be better than 1080i... but I'm not so sure, BTW you can always try and see if there's a differenceHey guys I don't know if this is the proper thread to ask my question, but here it goes:
I have a rather old HD-TV which is not capable of 1080p full HD resolution, it can only get to 1080i. My question is should I set it to 1080i, or will I get better video quality if I set it to 720p?
Thanks in advance
...and use what you prefer, since this a very old discussion, even on AV forums.you can always try and see if there's a difference
So, you want to read a detailed comparison between the physics engines used in Gran Turismo 5 and forza Motorsport 3? Easy peasey lemon squeezy
You see, Gran Turismo 5 does things like this, and Forza Motorsport 3 does things like this.
Hope that helps 👍
Interlaced scanning
Interlaced scan-based images use techniques developed for Cathode Ray Tube (CRT)-based TV monitor displays, made up of 576 visible horizontal lines across a standard TV screen. Interlacing divides these into odd and even lines and then alternately refreshes them at 30 frames per second. The slight delay between odd and even line refreshes creates some distortion or 'jaggedness'. This is because only half the lines keeps up with the moving image while the other half waits to be refreshed.
Progressive scanning
Progressive scanning, as opposed to interlaced, scans the entire picture line by line every sixteenth of a second. In other words, captured images are not split into separate fields like in interlaced scanning. Computer monitors do not need interlace to show the picture on the screen. It puts them on one line at a time in perfect order i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 etc. so there is virtually no "flickering" effect. As such, in a surveillance application, it can be critical in viewing detail within a moving image such as a person running away. However, a high quality monitor is required to get the best out of this type of scan.
The argument that 1080x1920, 30 frames/sec interlaced (1080I) will give better picture quality than 720x1280, 60 frames/sec progressive (720P) because it has twice as many picture elements (pixels) per frame is the most recent erroneous idea put forth by those who have been pushing the NHK 1125/60 system for years as a world-wide production standard. The earlier arguments all turned out to be incorrect; this new one is but the latest attempt to foist off this obsolete technology on the American broadcasting industry. In fact, the vertical resolution actually achieved in 1080I is lower han that actually achieved in 720P, while the horizontal resolution is considerably less than 1920 pixels, as clearly shown by objective tests carried out at ATTC.
I just Race Modified a '69 Camaro Z 28 which I was planning on using for the Historic Race event. However, at the tuning dection, the game won't let me buy the engine stage 3 kit to it, even though it is available.. has anyone encounter this issue also??
Does anyone have a car i can borrow for the Japanese classic on beginner?I have looked for days in the used car dealership and can't find one.I will do the race and give it back right away if someone would be so kind as to lend me one.
You should have already won a Dome Zero Concept 1978. It can be powered to over 300hp with no tire restrictions. B=spec is another story, comfort soft tires required. Bob has some trouble with it. I'm not going to use mine again if you have something to trade. It is fully upgraded.

I borrowed someones Dome Concept.how do you win it?
Does anyone know how to switch on mechanical damage? Ever since the update I've been progressing through the game as normal but haven't noticed anything different.
B-Spec Bob has me tearing my hair out in the Monaco Historic race. I got Silver a while ago, but now that I'm level 27 B-Spec and have a level 25 driver with an up arrow, I decided to try again.
Yeah, he's still an idiot. I thought he was getting better, but he's still really stupid on that track. I don't notice it other places, but man, he's dumb. That chicane after the downhill, and then the corner just before the S/F straight, the AI plows into those constantly.
You'd think he'd learn not to pass on the inside there, but no, he still tries. He even hits the inside wall when he's alone. Really? You take such a bad line that you just smack the wall? Here's a Top Gear Top Tip, you can't cut a corner close when it's a wall.
It's online only. You can create your own room in My Lounge if you want to test the damage out. No offline damage yet.

My dad noticed an error in the Apex book on the release date. In the car list, the picture for the 2004 Z06 is incorrect. It's a C5 (as correctly noted in the text), but the picture is of a C6.
