Look at the screen on the dash (not centre console), and you'll see part of GT PSP's track selection screen:

OMG OMG OMG

Great find dude!

And a little bit bigger picture:

Yes it is photoshopped :D ,People have a hard time understanding that no Porsches in GT5 means they will actually not make it.C'mon guys enough is enough we already have Ferrari ,Bugatti Lambos and Probably Maserati.

whether the picture is official or not has nothing to do with photoshop.
Either way, I think it's legit and it could mean something. Maybe porsche told PD to delay the game til after the 918 is revealed. Who knows.

I think you need to re-read what he wrote. He asks if he can isolate the audio of each player playing side by side. As in one console, one TV, two players, 2 outputs.

Exactly. Thank you. I know there's always going to be distractions in racing, thank you :grumpy:, but it's not the same. In real racing, there's the butt physics to avoid "misreading" tire screeching. When two people are playing on one system on one tv as Dave accurately determined, you hear both players' tire screeching and engine revs as one regardless of whether you're on opposite sides of the track. Now, I understand that it is pretty much impossible to avoid this on a single audio system, but I'm wondering if using two usb headsets might fix the problem? I only have one usb headset, but would likely buy another if I knew it would help. Also, it'd be useless to get two bass shakers (for tactile sound) in this case (unless I mounted both to one seat-yeeeee-haaaaw!). And I mean right now with GT5: Prologue, not GT5; though, if it's not possible in GT5:P, I wondered if there was any speculation about this in GT5 (thus, why I posted here).

I take it very few people race two-player on one system, eh. I wouldn't have thought this were a laughable question unless I were in the very small minority.

Sorry for making it sound perhaps like a laughable question, i misunderstood the point you were trying to make, your last post made it perfectly clear.
And i admit not playing the two-player option very often, if i did i might have the same request you made. ;)

It always annoyed me on previous GTs (OK, GT2 and GT3, mainly) when I could hear my opponent's engine, it really is offputting, especially if it drowns the sound of yours out! I found myself often picking cars based on their sound!

Anyway, isn't it possible to use both HDMI and optical outputs at once? If not, I'm sure that it's technically feasible to use two USB headsets - it's just a matter of the game knowing whose is whose. Obviously this would require coding beyond "application" level - i.e. into the firmware itself to route the audio through the USB bus.
I'm not sure we'll see this functionality though, rendering sound to multiple listening locations is a very rare technology in games - in fact, until recently, the only proponents were a few console games such as GT!

Seriously, why would Porsche add Seoul und Opera to a tracklist for its latest model, that you can't even race on in real life?

This is definately photoshoped, maybe someone tried to be funny...
There is a different display in the official video, so i guess the picture is fake.

I wanted to ask something regarding GT5p,It has probably been discuused before but why do the main menu gives me the temprature of tracks(Spa,Magny cours)that are not even in the game:dopey:

Unless:drool:

no, because official video also includes those pictures, and this picture is on Porsche's official website too. how can anybody photoshop pictures on official site?

I'll have to borrow another usb headset and start scripting...

To make them look better....
Its pretty comon to photoshop pictures, just to show what will be possible for the final product, especially since this is only a concept car and some of the gadges will probably not work right now.
They had to photoshop them to show the people what they are up to and how it will probably look in the end. While the video is short and the display is only visible for some few seconds, the picture has to have better quality, since the press might want to use them.

Maybe its just some mistake...

Why would the use Seoul and Opera?, why whould they add the ai difficulty badge?

Go to the porsche site and whatch the galery , this pic is there !

The same photo is shown in official photo's on several car sites and Porsche's own site, so i doubt it is photoshopped unless by Porsche itself.

Just speculating; didn't Kaz mentioned Porsche was definitely out before the whole delay caused by production issues ( which could mean anything ).
In the same period Porsche was aquired by VW who have almost any brand they own featured in GT ( including Lambo and Bugatti ).

Don't expect a clear answer, but it is strange to say the least, that of all the pictures they could have chosen on the display, they chose GT on their latest concept car created under VW ownership.

And although the great man Kaz is to all of us, he has not been known for his consistant accuracy.

I know its on the official Porsche website and i know that it shows the GT PSP trackselection screen, but I think its just a mistake. Some employee might have just messed it up.

I mean its exactly! taken from the game. Why would they do that, if not by mistake?

We need to wait and see, but it would be a weird coincidence...

Why the hell is Porsche such a big deal with so many people? Even if they were in GT5 I doubt if I'd drive them much other than to win the inevitable 911 turbo-only event. I mean there are actual cool cars confirmed in GT5 why all the fuss about a glorified Volkswagen? Hell I'd buy an RUF before a Porsche - at least they made an effort.

The more manufacturers, the better. Esepcially a manufacturer as successful as Porsche. Nonetheless, I won't feel sick when I don't see a single Porsche in GT5. In time they will join Gran Turismo.

Well picture is definitely not photoshoped because you can also see that map from GT PSP in videos that Porsche has shown. If this is a mistake (I do not know why Porsche employees would make such mistake regarding with some game with which they have no colleraction) it is a mistake in display and not cause of post-photoshop.

Ruf are a perfect alternative to the current Porsche line up, which admittedly isn't much to shout about with the Cayenne and Panamera being clearly beaten with the ugly stick.
It's Porsches history i will sorely miss, the Gulf-liveried 917, the Rothmans 956, the first supercar 959, the 356, RS, RSK, 908, 928, etc., etc.
If all i wanted was a 911 ( and yes, i want one ) the Ruf is indeed enough.
But i have a soft spot for these glorified Volkswagens as they have played a major part in car history and certainly in the history of motorsport.

Right, I saw a bit of it from the video as well.

Honestly, mistakes like this are really not on par with the sophistication of Porsche and the official site. It's just too weird if all this was a mere coincidence or the sake of just experimenting with a property of a different company, or developer if you will.

I agree with you, Custer85.

It is an official photograph. It's just....wrong. Things like that can happen.

None of the photographs are "straight out of the camera", they've all been tweaked and messed about with in Photoshop by whoever Porsche hired to work on/take the photographs. In this case, as it's been mentioned before: the person doing it decided it was easy enough to take the screen from GTPSP, because...it looked cool? I have no idea.

It is a concept car, likely the gauges don't work properly if at all. And they certainly wouldn't have a final version of the computer functions in a concept car.

It is the in video, because the only times you can see it clearly are when they are simply using the photographs and are just moving them around a bit.

I highly doubt this has anything to do with Gran Turismo, more due to whoever Porsche hired to do the photography.

Porsche wasn't aquired by VW, Porsche aquired a majority stake in VW and then last year (I think) an agreement was signed to merge the two companies together.
Also, regardless of who owns who, there is still a legally binding contract between Porsche and EA that has been in existence in one form or another for 11 years or more. We don't know when this Porsche/EA contract expiers, we don't know what terms are in it with regards to renewal and we don't know either way if terms would be agreed or not between PD and Porsche and/or PD and EA. Eitherway VW can't just throw i out of window even if they had the control over Porsche to otherwise make sucha decision.

Some people have suggested that thoes pictures might just be a random photoshop that Porsche have used. I doubt that, it could be a hint to a Porsche PD relationship but I don't see that tbh. If the reason for thoes pictures being used is significant in any way then likely hood is that Porsche have an agreement with Sony and the Screens in their cars will be PSP compatible, I don't quite see why beyond it being a gimmick but that's more likely to be the case than suddenly Porsche have a contract with PD.
