And the pictures they showed were the GT5 box with the worst photoshopped 6 on the 5.

Love how scammers have no idea how to Spell Gran Turismo

Its always the biggest giveaway in these ads (Along with fact that the Font doesn't even match).

I finally gone north of 500 cars! That means I have less than 500 to go to reach that 1,000 car mark. I noted in the "What Did You Buy Today?" thread that car #499 was the 2011 Nissan GT-R that raced in the Nürburgring 24H, and the 500th car I bought was the Pagani Zonda R. #501 was the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. After that, I just tried to buy as many cars as possible from the Used Car Dealer. I'm at 504 cars currently in typing up this post.

They should change the way of buying a car, at least in UCD. It is so annoying if you want to buy 10 cars. It throws you out of the UCD and then it takes 1-2 minutes till you can buy the next car... :yuck:

Receiving the DLC cars is an epic voyage of stupidity. You have to go through the whole gift ticket experience 15 times! WTF?

GT5 makes you waste so much time buying cars, getting tickest, washing and changing oil... its so stupid! Make all that faster and let us use the time to drive!

Thanks for waiting. The DLC in North America is about to start. It will begin from 14:00 PST.

Admittedly a dumb question here but what time would that be in Washington state? I am not very computer literate so it would probably take me hours to figure that out on my own. Thanks in advance gents. EDIT: Oh my gosh! I am a bonehead! I live in PST, duh!

Can't be that bad, unless you are in THAT desperate of a rush to drive the cars. Its not like they'll expire if you don't get them quick enough

For me, thats probably gonna be like having a Birthday again :dopey:

They are brilliant cars mate, I was just really eager to get them to the track :)

I agree that the menu system could easily be improved, and one of the issues is that the game automatically takes you to another menu when you do certain things.

For example, when gifting items, after each gift you send you stay in that same menu - as you should, but if you gift a museum card it sends you all the way back to the Community menu, and as you mentioned, if you buy a car it sends you back to the main GT menu. Now for those who want to change the oil to get the boost in power, this is a good thing, but then again, this really should be a choice that the player should get to make.

However, if it is taking you 1-2 min to go back to the UCD to buy another car, then something is seriously wrong with your game/PS3 (or you are prone to grossly exaggerate), as it takes less than 10 seconds for me, and I have a very large game save - 5MB.

When gifting museum cards, you can save a bit of time by doing it directly from the museum instead.

Haha, if you read the text above the email box, it says "Gran Turismo 5." Someone didn't check their typing.

As a newcomer I must admit I would like to be able to move from buying a car to an oil change and any upgrades without having to navigate several menus. I know it's a trivial thing but I buy these games to drive the cars.
Mind you I've only got 63 cars so when I see the numbers that lie ahead I think I'm going to spend a lot of time going through menus in the future.:ouch:

For those talking about the car-buying process, I still remember getting used cars from Gran Turismo 4. Rather than go back to GT Life (or the primary menu), you can go purchase more old cars if you so choose. You stay in the dealer and can purchase more cars. I'll actually agree with all of you on this. In addition, I also wish certain options would stick. Like, I don't want to keep pressing Square just to always have cars sorted by price or acquisition. Then again, I wish I could set certain default viewing and browsing preferences without having to keep adjusting things constantly.

I went back to B-Spec. On the last lap of the Lupo Cup in B-Spec, my racer was too prissy trying to hold off one hard-charging car. I hate doing long races and not winning them. Hurts so much to do long-distance competition and end up losing. So I had to waste 20 more minutes of my relatively young life by re-doing the Lupo Cup event. This time, with a mid-level turbo and some other racing-spec upgrades. No screw-ups from my B-Spec racer this time around. One level away in B-Spec from qualifying for the Extreme events. I need to keep getting to these events so I can add to my GT blog. The bonus upgrades are really helping me get through B-Spec faster than before the Spec 2.0 updates.

Hey everyone, go to "Most Wanted Tracks" in the Customer Feedback section and vote for Bathurst! It's losing quite badly to Interlagos which IMO isn't as good :)

Even being a brazillian, I agree that Bathurst is way more dramatic than Interlagos.

Just want both!

I would like to be able to buy more than one car at once from the UCD (and OCD) by making multiple selections and then buying them all in one transaction.

Who thinks that some of the old menu navigation sounds and the tyre screech noise from GT3, synonymous with the GT franchise IMO, should make a cameo in GT6?

I was watching some videos of GT3 on Youtube and it really brought back some memories from my childhood of the fun days mucking around with friends and those sound effects would just make for some grin-inducing nostalgic moments!

No, prefer the new ones. They could put in a legacy feature but this would be a waste of time.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't those the same tire screech noises that people Hated for years?

Grass is always greener. Many people love what they don't have and hate what they have...even when standing on both sides of the fence... and then feel obligated to share their anger (anonymously, of course) with the world. It's an ugly trend.

BTW: I'm always in favor of some kind of Legacy option, or like those historical perspective videos comparing old with new... at the very least it helps quite down a lot of the whiners who forget how bad things really may have been compared to what they have now... not to say new is always better than old, far from it... but a little perspective can go a VERY long way towards having a reasonable discussion and constructive criticism instead of the typical whine fest one often sees online.

A "nothing to do question". Is the older updates still active to download?

As far as I know, yes. A buddy bought a copy of the game last week and he had to download all patches.
