Yes, are you aware that these wishlists contain more or less every car ever made?

Some simple machine analysis of post content would determine which were mentioned the most often. That'd probably be a good place to start, if they want feedback on which cars the community considers relevant.

Seriously, this stuff isn't difficult, all the information PD would want exists already. If they choose to look.

Is PD even aware that this massive community of (mostly) well-informed and constructive discussion of their game exists?

Not sure "Mostly" is really applicable anymore given theres more irrational discussions then there is logical ones.

For those who say PD doesn't care what we want, I always say that PD DOES listen/read. Maybe not what YOU want, but they do take some advice from us others. It's something I've believed in since joining GTPlanet in December 2003. I've read this same moaning while GT4 was in the works. Just because they (PD) may not take your advice doesn't mean they don't care about anyone. I still remember in GT4- I mentioned adding some more space in that chicane after the final tunnel at Grand Valley Speedway, and I also mentioned Bentley winning Le Mans five times in the first ten years of the race. BOTH of those things I mentioned here on GTPlanet, and they were implemented in GT4. So they do listen/read, okay? I'm just an average GT fan like many of you.

Long story short- don't feel dejected or disregarded just because your suggestions seem to mean nothing to PD. You're not the only GT fan in the world.

I find the car list rather interesting. It's good to see some actual cars included. TC are beautiful, but they can't beat the feel of driving a production car. At the very least, this applies for me. Also I like the tweaks and new options, espcially the ability to change rims on standard cars. Looking forward to its release.

"Of course we’re working on GT6 already and I think what really will be the separating factor is something that we can’t update through a DLC is something that obviously has to be saved for GT6. Things that we can provide through DLC we will, so that’s really the market difference."
:dopey:

Lol, because there's not innumerable wishlist threads all over GTPlanet that they could poll if they were interested.

Is PD even aware that this massive community of (mostly) well-informed and constructive discussion of their game exists?

Considering that these threads are full of childish insults, what do you expect?

GTPlanet Staff..

A golden opportunity could be knocking at the door. A sub forum for constructive suggestions free of condescending remarks would be very professional of this website.

^It would be too hard to filter out all of the flamers and silly posters out and we also already have this idea to an extent with the 'Feedback' section of the site. 👍

Hmm, that's interesting if that's an accurate translation, if they really are adding new features to GT6 which in itself will justify or persuade us into buying it regardless of whether a lot of content like cars and tracks are similar, that means we could see plenty of new additions in the coming months (or years) since the content as we now know it may not be the defining factor and would mean GT6 has something unique to offer.
Or, more likely, it's the usual undoubtedly well meant gibberish which could mean anything, including the opposite.

I can't see them updating A-Spec too much from that stand point their fix is by adding more online events. Microsoft holds and buys a lot of advertising rights (I'm actually impressed.) I think some of the places they will hold back on is the DTM series and anything of the like. Also free drive and maybe multiple cars in photo locations.

The platform will also be the selling point. They may have to do both a ps3 and ps4 version.

And about the car choices for DLC, remember that they are competing against Turn 10. They may have cars that they can release but they are trying to stay clear of mirroring them, I do like the 3 European cars in this set, it's a step in the right direction.

I hope the new standard car rims from patch 2.02 are paintable ... ^^
Otherwise it's just half fun for me. I guess they are not, hopefully i'm wrong.

They should have a feedback section on their site with some kind of poll where you can choose makes of cars, and then models. The results could then be sent directly to PD and counted up. If not, then someone should email them with a link to the feedback section.

Has anyone's GT5 been playing Christmas music this year? I remember enjoying hearing Christmas tunes through December last year, but nothing of the sort this year.

EDIT: It seems to do it on the home menu but not in GT Mode, I can't remember if that was the same as last year or not.

Like this? It's all we've got 👍

They could use some direct interaction with us, the fans. Like mentioned above, polls, car wish lists, track wishlists. Having to spy on forums seems so....odd, especially in today's super social world.

A Twitter page does not cut it. A 5 yr old can create one.

A good place to start would be the Gran Turismo website!

Ok That Filter Stuck on the Replay Glitch is 🤬 Annoying /Lame Rage Post

When I first read about this, I purposely made a replay have the "cool" filter (the replay looked really nice). But then during a race, different filters were switching back and forth every time I looked back or changed views. I was stuck with the "miniature" filter and I had to reset the game to remedy it.

If Done correctly like the Synced replays in GT4 it would be great but Now like You said you have to restart the game to Make it go away .

Needs to be Patched up ASAP .

As I have played around with the 2.02 updates and blogging about these changes on JGTS (my GT-specific blog), I've been pretty pleased with the new changes. It really speaks volumes that there are still people who support and love GT5. I've been seven months late to the party, but I am still deeply into GT5 even with its hits and misses. That's love. That's dedication. That's loyalty. Thanks a lot to Polyphony Digital for everything!

My opinion about the GT5 right now is: FANTASTIC game which the only main miss is the lack of old GT tracks and cars with the addition of some more recent vehicles.

I think he means new diesel roadcars as DLC which I wouldn't mind either.

That exactly. I mean, there enough V6's 6 cylinders up to V12's that can do the trick. I hope PD will include atleast one with the next DLC batch. :ouch:

Meh - can't think of any particularly exciting diesels they desperately need to add. Mind you, I'm not into tractor pulls or trucking.

Yeah, you can easily make a caricature using aged stereotypes, fact is the diesel engine has evolved greatly in the last 15 years and is an important factor in todays automotive industry.
It may not necessarily stir the soul like a petrol engine does (but to me they are more interesting than an electric car for example) but it does offer interesting characteristics and could be applied to cars already in the game (since some are also offered as a diesel) which wouldn't need any time consuming remodelling but would offer a different driving experience for those who can appreciate it.

As for exciting diesel cars, how about this Audi R8 V12 TDi Concept?

Or how about this high performance production car from Alpina? The D3 Biturbo.

And I wouldn't mind a classic like this Opel Diesel Rekordwagen, which no doubt will sound a bit like the examples you mentioned.
