I would LOVE to have that doggone Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car. It always seems to be the fastest car whenever I see the Time Trial events that require cars having no more than 345 horsepower. I did the Trial Mountain Reverse Time Trial as I saw the Nissan R390 among the top of the charts. Even one of my PSN friends has an R390 GT1 when I checked out top times by PSN friends. I brought out my tuned Renault Clio V6 Premium car and laid down a time in the 1:50 range.

One year since GT5 was released. Just so sad it's taken me several years to get my PlayStation 3 and seven months to get GT5. I still find great joy playing GT5 even with its flaws and disappointments.

Haha, the posing is ridiculous! And the chequered cape!

 Seems like they were inspired by a weird combination of these 2.

I got over 664 cars now. Trying to prepare posts for my blog, I went back to the Sebastien Loeb Rally Challenge. Part of the reason why I've struggled so much here was because of the rally driving dynamics in GT5 along with the fact I am so unaccustomed to the three different tracks. In fact, this is the first Gran Turismo where none of the original off-road courses return. The only return is Chamonix, but not the Chamonix from GT4. So dealing with brand-new tracks and having to adjust makes these events tough in the Sebastien Loeb Rally Challenge.

All I really need is to clear the Eiger Nordwand Full Course and Chamonix because I already cleared the Toscana event long ago.

I found with rallying was that I was trying to go too fast. After I took a tighter but slower racing line I managed to get my gold.

I like cars. NOT just Japanese cars. It's time PD broaden their range. I understand PD is Japanese & Sony is Japanese. Ergo, more cars from other countries = more variety = more potential new fans = more money for PD = more money for Sony

I know they are new Cars and what Not but As always a Japanese new car is already Modeled by it's release ,Why doesn't that Happen to other cars :indiff:

Ah, was hoping it could be Citta Di Aria, oh well, thanks.

(Edit, didn't mean the square but the driving afterwards through those narrow steets)

It looks like it's narrow street, but it's Piazza del Duomo. Look closer and you'll see FOTO sign on left and clock in far corner of Piazza.

Anyone notice the Rome track without any "track features" (barriers, ads...)
I know it's not coming but it proves these concepts videos are purely CGI, just like the one with the supposed Stelvio Pass.

Damn you PD and you're use of catchy songs, I still can't find most of the other trailer songs.

Not 100% Sure but I think Kaz Tweeted that this Song is By PD(inhouse band/DJs whatever) :odd: .

SO Unlikely that we will ever see these SOngs unless they release them.

It was there a split second after that photo travel location! Maybe it's really Citta Di Aria! 💡👍

Oh my.... X2011 Prototype on the cover! This is gonna be an awesome Boxart! 👍

Grind.

There's a word I never thought I'd use in describing my latest GT5 experience. I guess I am now trying to reach and surpass the 10M Credit mark. I am doing multiple high-paying Seasonal races just to try to build up money. Getting to do the same race over and over again is boring for me. So that's why I am looking at doing as many events I can realistically win as possible. I will stop trying to save up money when I see the Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car in the Used Car Dealership or (maybe) if I see a Toyota 7 at a good price. I am seeking both just to say I have both cars, and also because I want my B-Spec racers to have the Toyota 7 for the B-Spec version of the Historic Racing Cup.

Speaking of B-Spec, I am now trying to get my most experienced B-Spec racer more starts to try to get to that "Air of Experience" deal. I also have to get my most inexperienced B-Spec racer some experience. I am trying to improve their stats for when I do eventually get to do the B-Spec endurances.

I finally managed to get the Multi-Millionaire trophy for having 10M+ Credits. I also recently won my first-ever Gold for a Drift Trial when I cleared the Chamonix Mini Seasonal with 5017 points. It is an accomplishment to succeed in something you aren't great at. Since I am no drifting ace, I was pleased to get Gold. I got it done using my Race-Modified Nissan Silvia Spec R Aero.

As for the money issue, I'm trying to get a certain car. You'll see what I'll try to get if you see some of my usual contributions to the "What Did You Buy Today?" thread. Most of the money was made by doing some of the tougher races as well as (basically) grinding the High Speed Ring event of the Formula GT Seasonal. I did try my luck at the Grand Valley event in that Seasonal, and I ended up winning, though I could have easily lost it after leading for so long.

Life's good for me in GT5 now! :)

With my new Ferrari F2007 I bought yesterday in GT5, I tried out the Tokyo R246 round of the Ferrari F1 Seasonal. I managed a lap time of 1:16.585. That is some two to four seconds faster than I last remember racing Tokyo R246 with in GT4. I think I did a 1:18-something once in GT4 with the Nissan R92CP. All the other opponent cars in my Tokyo R246 run were all in the F2007. I tend to find the F2007 to be more fun to drive than the Formula Gran Turismo cars. I do race with certain driver aids and don't tune cars. I always look for default drivability, and this F2007 does very well.

I considered the F2007 based on things I've read online. I read about better grip with the F2007 compared to the F10. That's why I saved up my money in GT5 to get the F2007 rather than the F10 (but I do plan on getting the F10 to add to my Garage). I do still find it the least bit sad that you can't enter the Ferrari F1 cars into any in-game races other than the Seasonal devoted to these Ferrari F1 cars.

Back a few days ago, I cleared all rounds of the Ferrari Formula Challenge. I previously did only the Tokyo R246 event, managing only a fourth place racing the Ferrari F10 borrowed from a PSN friend. The experience payout is great at 200% bonus. I think I earned some 80K experience (A-Spec, of course) for my efforts. All of the races really offer a good amount of experience to boost up your experience. I recently crossed into Level 36 A-Spec from my racing and winning.

I always get a bit skeptical about the generated courses when you do the Seasonal events. I normally want to believe they could give me ANY kind of course for me to race, but you do sort of notice names for them. For example, take the new European Hot Hatch Championship. The generated course you race on is Eifel Kart 110A. The British Lightweights has a 106A course using the Mt. Aso environment. No sure what course it was when I did the 5th Ferrari Formula Challenge, but that was a damned long course! Laps were about 2:15.000 on the course I raced!

My current car count is up to 728 cars. So I am getting up there with the total number of cars in GT4. I am also sort of approaching 9K miles driven in GT5.
