I would not call them noobs  but it just kills me because I know GT5 has some great sounds. It also has some very bad sound and this is what everybody runs with. People talk about kill the sound recording team but I think they are doing a great job. Yes they need to add more dynamics to the sounds but to have some people on here destroy the sounds in GT5 when they are actually good and realistic is messed up. I was online yesterday doing a track day in my tuned EG6 and from my rear speaker I could hear something screaming but it was not close. As I kept driving the screaming got louder and louder then all of a sudden The Aventador flew pass me drowning out my exhaust. I asked the guy was it tuned he replied bone stock =). All I could do was smile.

Cool story bro:tup: And I'm not joking ;)

Agreed 👍. This being a fan site, we are sort of pre-disposed to being more critical of the game than the more casual fans, those of whom make up the vast majority of GT5 owners. Amar touches on the topic perfectly, so I'll just echo his statement with this: we do all have very different priorities.

I understand that GTPlanet is a multi-game fan site. I am alsp understanding that my age is beginning to show here because I can't comprehend why some people would go out of their way to post in a negative fashion when it comes to GT5.

GT5 should ONLY be viewed as a piece of entertainment and something to waste time on and relax. A hobby perhaps. But man, the passion some of the people have here for finding every fault in GT5 is startling. To go on a crusade such as this requires time and energy!

You are probably right though, it all comes down to different priorities.:scared:

I dont know why some People complain about criticism.

GT5 isn't Perfect and only criticism makes a Game better.

I made a Statment

Of course GT5 isn't perfect, and I don't think a GT5 fanboy would even state that GT5 is perfect.

I only voice my displeasure torwards those who continue to post negative comments because it's, as I stated before, a RINSE AND REPEAT process. Same people complaining about a missing feature here, a graphical issue there, all the while posting as if they are part of Wikileaks!👎

I don't understand why people think we're biased when it's clear that some people are only here to nitpick GT5's shortcomings, and then I have to come in and quote/source information that either explains or justifies something being the way it is.

That sir, is exactly what I stated earlier. There are people in this thread that don't even have the game anymore (self admited) that continue to pursue the trek of tearing GT5 down. A personal vendetta of sorts.

Now of course, there are other obvious reasons such boredom, trolling, looking to debate, and perhaps even a virtual fisherman or two.:ouch:

I just feel the need to say it just because i saw the news but not about GT5 so i am out of topic, but i feel that those guys at T10 (Forza 4) come here every day just to check what we want and put it on their game.
New car pack in May 1st and with some random but at the same time cool cars.

Even i remember to say something about having a Smart For two and For Four car in a comment and more or less like a joke (maybe in the DLC thread) to include a ban more or less like i used in my old work. Now they put a Smart For Two and a Ford Transit in their DLC...casuality? Come on.

I am 100% sure that these people come here more often than PD to include things that we are begging just to catch some people from here.(not fans as me because i´ll never buy an xBox console and less a Forza game as simple as that)

I don´t know but this is how i feel every time i see a DLC from these people.

Also i went to the ForzaPlanet brother site of GTPlanet and it is like a desert compared to GTPlanet. lol

Sorry for out of topic but maybe i am not so wrong about that statement.

Maybe..... PD sure don't go to the Forza forums and add their requests.

They don't implement there own lol.

I agree Foxiol. I've wanted a smart fortwo to be in GT5, why is it doing in Forza 4? My Jag is also in that game. No wonder the fans of Forza are angry theres no tracks being added. Turn 10 keeps coming here and taking our cars that are for GT5 or GT6.

lets ask some tracks then.

I have always thought all console games should have the Yas Marina circuit only because of eye candy and a superb pit lane exit. Also we know old tracks were the best, so I'll probably buy rfactor2 just to play their classic monaco version.

Now that they are on the stealing ideas business, I'd love to see them taking the Project C.A.R.S. approach and keep modelling tracks even without doing actual measuring, because that means content being released very, very fast. That mostly applies to old circuits, roads and fantasy tracks.

@JDMKING13
Your right. I take back what I said. :)

@avens
That's a beautiful track. I'll love for that track to come in GT6, but. It may seem like it's to late to ask for it huh? :(

With the user base GT5 has, a regular, focused and coherent stream of DLC (as with Forza) would make them more money than the boxed copy of the game. That's the obvious way to make money between games.

It seems like a massive missed opportunity to me. Just look how well the Spa Francorchamps circuit sold.

Only cod sells 2 million DLC's

I played GT5 last week at my friends house and he has some killer surround sound, lets just say Forza sounds bad compared to GT5 with surround sound, the mach one sounded scary real compared to the one outside my house, sure its wasn't as dynamic but man it was almost there!!!

I still want Seattle, El Capitan, Citta di Aria, Costa di Amalfi, Hong Kong and New York oh as well as Midfield. Those tracks should come back, I also like your idea on tracks like Yas Marina, but while we're at it how about Zolder and Silverstone.

Either way I think we get the point, and I don't want to detract down wishlist lane. So I'll hope for news to come.

100%? It's a hunch, thanks to a coincidence, simple as that: both franchises have fan request wish lists. One just happens to have more of the desired cars the average fan asks for as part of its DLC packs.

(not fans as me because i´ll never buy an xBox console and less a Forza game as simple as that)

I felt that way two years ago: I then got over the idea of taking sides, and have both. Still cheaper than a serious PC setup, and I enjoy the best of both worlds 👍

A six month old website with almost 1600 members isn't as active as an 11 year old site with 200,000 members, that has established itself as the de facto fan site for its particular franchise? Surprise of surprises.

There's a Smart car in Forza?

There is also a Transit Van aswell 👍 .I am surprised by how quickly Turn 10 finishes up their cars ,Probably why PD need to expand .

Oh and is there a chance that the GT Academy mini challenge actually come with better Driving Physics ?

Forza has other studios do their 3D model work. That is why they get things done faster.

Exactly why PD need to do the same.

At least Kaz could try and make studios in other regions like in North America and Europe, but I guess that'll be impossible. Maybe bacause of Sony? He still needs to hire more members, and hopefully he'll announce how many members he's hired.

Edit: Need to stop commenting on here, no latest news yet. :P

Something big other than GT Academy is delaying DLC. GT6 is hopefully the main reason.
It's crazy how people think this delayed the next DLC release. As if they weren't able to model more than just the DLC we already have. It's been 18 months and more than half of PD works on getting the cars into the game. How can they not have done more? I'd find it reasonable to think that's why the UPDATE was delayed.

So what do you think is the reason then?

If you're referring to me with that snide remark I'm doing no such thing, I'm just going into threads and you happen to be the last person to post in most of them.

That is what we have been asking here since november 2010. How can they not have done more in 6 years. I think we'll ask ourselves the same again when (or rather if) the next DLC pack is released, after being behind schedule again (latest DLC was released in January 17).

Maybe it was due to GT academy in part, maybe lack of funding and time, in which it also plays a part because it's quite expensive to run it and to sponsor racing teams, but who knows.

I can see why GT Academy could have helped with the delay, but to think it's the sole reason?

Physics - rain, snow, dirt, and even different physics for the Karting

Video from 2009

photo of staff from 2004, end of GT4's development - looks less than half of what 140 people is
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=_HHIra2thQA#t=31s

140 people max. - 100 people minimum working on the game since '05

As opposed to having double that number of people that work on a much easier console to make games for and outsourcing a lot of work to people in other countries.

The detail on each track. A legitimate Nordscheilfe. Not the same one used in in the previous GT from PS2 and one that actually tries to be accurate.

Rome took over a year to recreate. Minimum there were 30 people working on tracks in 2008.

Gas depreciates, windshield wipers work, headlights work. Back seats are visible in cockpit view, obviously during gameplay.

I didn't mention damage, because Kaz said it wasn't difficult. Perfecting it will be.

I didn't know about this until someone mentioned it, but after each game, developers have to re-get the licenses of all the cars.

I've found out that standards took one month each to put into GT5, the same as GT4, but with more than double the people to work on them.

Really, there's so many variables that it wouldn't really be fair to to blame only one thing.
