@ NUD3
The thing is that it's no where near too late to implement it, thats why I think it's silly if they dont :P Santa monica perrfected and implemented the MLAA in these last few months and the game is out very soon. GT5 has at least 4 months left to apply a post-process to it's game which should be more than managable considering gthe delay (I have suspicions that the delay was due to this new algorithm and the larger room for creativity PD now has)

I believe its the straight cut gears. Good improvement already, hopefully you're right and its an early build. 💡
Sounds kind of like the transmission whine in the tuned 370z from GTdemo, im pretty sure they will use it in all race cars and rally car, Plus it is an excellent sounding sample, almost as good as GTRs transmission whine.. So that plus the new WRC STI sound...(Which sounds awesome) will equall one hell of immersion on dirt straights.

No I didn't mean that the scene in the video could be drag mode, but the Top Gear Test Track would be a perfect track for Drag Mode, and there was a short scene in the E3 Trailer that looked also like Drag Mode :D

Can you believe, in less than a month we could see GT5 releasing in Japan meaning GT5 could easily be finished by any time now. But no, they delayed it for reasons that we dont know and Sony gave PD a time to polish brenches and clouds and whiping their asses. Who could understand them. I doubt the reason could be Porsches because I'm 99% sure we won't see them even in GT20.

at 3:09 our first glimpse of the Texas motor speedway or Indianapolis speedway ,didn't anyone notice?

@Griffith500 @shazui

maybe they are adding it right now, who knows? ;)

but I think they aren't... maybe if PD were closer to the "elite dev team" at SCEWWS (Naughty Dog, Santa Monica, Ice Team, Guerrila...), but, at least for me, it seems that they do their own thing, its like they are not in that "pool" of devs who shares info and tools with each other...

I think its possible though, Kaz mentioned that GT5 would use "arround 80% of the PS3 power", considering that as CPU time, the "MLAA-like" technique should "fit" at that 20% left ;)

For those who haven't downloaded the Gamersyde's video (I know it's Tokyo again but it also has Nurburgring in the second half and both with cockpit from both version of the GTR):

Got to really give PD credit for the 'Ring. Possibly the only game I have seen where the car will actually become unstable after coming back down from a crest unlike other games were the car will land & keep going.

Found some pics which were previously only available in low res.

The following pics are from SEMA 2009 (which are not part of the SEMA pics on the GTP news page) so i think they are possibly new:

Excuse me for going off-topic guys, but could anybody please tell me what's the name of the song that appears on the Subaru-Cockpit camera video (The one in today's news post on the main page)? Thanks in advance :).
