I actually prefer the GT4 version. It's a lot more of a challenge, I reckon.

If I understand R1600Turbo correctly he is talking about turn 1 on the normal track layout, which is stated as changed.

They may have changed the look of the corner but it still should be taken as a single radius corner. I drive it as 1 round corner.
I really like passing my LAN buddies on the next straight after they take it as a double apex.

I'm not making any argument but if I understood correctly it sounded as though others may be taking that turn incorrectly as well.

So Famine, when is the release date? [Really bad Irish sarcasm, for those from other countries who don't quite get it].

I was curious myself so had a dig for the posts, apologies if I’ve missed anything.

I had some time with Penrose Tackie recently. The one question I didn't ask him - on purpose - was a release date.

However, he did, in the course of our conversation, say "soon", "very soon" and "sooner than you think" a few times.

It should in no way be taken that he was referring to a release date. I did say to him "The one thing I won't ask you about is a release date."

However, I later let Mr. Tackie in on what I thought - though the question I asked wasn't about the release date. The answer he gave, or rather the way he gave it, seemed to confirm what I thought though, since I clearly told him this question was entirely off-the-record, I can neither tell you what the answer was nor what the question was. Or, for that matter, what I think

Suffice to say that if it's sooner than I think, they'd best have the marketing campaign of ever lined up.

sems - I can't say. I've posted all the answers to all the other questions I asked him, but this was off the record. My opinion that he confirmed my thoughts is also just that; an opinion. However, what I think about the release date has also been mentioned by a few other people here quite recently. So it's on here somewhere (though I posted it in the Mods forum in January).

Ruf and Bentley are both in GTPSP, yes.

Very many. GT2, for instance, had a huge selection of manufacturers, as has GT4.

This is basically what we're allowed to know, my guess is still the Bentley Continental and here's why i think it is.

1 Bentley was in GT4 but only one Le Mans racer was included, the inclusion of the Continental would mean that their road cars will also be included.

2 Just one model, not the whole range so far ( Mulsanne, Brooklands, etc.)

3 There are no P, V or K within both make or model

4 The Continental has multiple possiblities within the model range ( Continental GT, Continental Convertible, Continental Flying Spur, Continental SuperSports )

( Oh yes, i think this car was also in Forza 3, making an appearance as road cars in GT more likely )

Yes, true. But from them, you can exclude all those who are present in GTpsp and, beside those, all who aren't but bear those three letters on their name (P,K,V), right? (As I understand, the car you're referring is from a manufacturer who isn't yet confirmed in GT5)

PS - I don't want to go further than you can at this point. I'm just trying to figure it out by myself through the hints you have previously gave in this thread, confronting them with what is yet solid information regarding GT5, to narrow down the possibilities.

After watching four pages of unsucceeded tries to make Famine speak, I can only say that we must wait until he reveals the misterious car. He can't share the info, if he give a clue which enable us to discover what car it is, he's sharing the info in the same way, just not directly, so keep it to you, as you're doing.

Besides, well done, seems like we're getting finally some info on new cars, I would vote for the Bentley Continental too, VW is increasing the size of their slice of the GT cake, and Bentley is a premium brand.

If any of you have bought God Of War 3 in the UK could you guys please upload the new GT5 trailer, Sony said the GT5 trailer in the UK version of GOW3 is different to one in the US version.

I just hope no ones forgotten about it, this could be our chance of seeing something new as Sony said there'll be a 'special' trailer in the European and UK versions of GOW3.

Please someone upload it!!

Yes, but accordingly to my interpretation of his words the manufacturer of the car he's talking about wasn't yet confirmed to be in GT5 and, if it is solid (read=official) that you can transfer all the cars from PSP version to GT5, you can state that all the cars from PSP will be in GT5, thus the car he's referring to does not come from any of them.

If my thinking is correct, the car is from a manufacturer that, at some point, was on one, or more, previous episodes of GT series, and it isn't yet confirmed in the GT5 so:

1 - it is not present in GTpsp (since all of its manufacturers will be in GT5)
2 - It name doesn't bear the letters P,V or K.

How many manufacturers from all previous gt games, that are not present on PSP (= confirmed for GT5) fit on this?

People like you really piss me off. Famine came in here and said he knows something about a certain car but he can't get into it any further. He teased you, gave you some "good" news, so be happy and wait for the reveal. But no, people like you come in and demand the info. Ok, following my thinking line here, and assuming I am correct, and after checking and comparing the car lists for the past GT games (from the guides in GTPlanet), and cross checking them with GTpsp car list (from www.us.gran-turismo.com), the "new" car Famine's been mentioning is from one of these manufacturers:

MG (GT2&4)
Tickford (GT3)
Tom's (GT3&4)
TRD (GT3)
Autobianchi (GT4)
Caterham (GT4)
Holden (GT4)
Jay Leno (GT4)
Land Rover (GT4)
Mercury (GT4)
Nike (GT4)
Triumph (GT4)
Auto Union (GT4)
Ford Australia (GT4)

These are the manufacturers that were in one (or more) games of the series and that haven't been yet officialy mentioned as in GT5 (seen on screenshots), neither do make an appearance at GTpsp.

Assuming that this mystery car must be of some relevant manufacturer to cause this "hype", we could exclude some of these, since they aren't likely to produce such a car or even do has a remaining range in their catalogue (present or past), as Famine's mentioned - stating that its inclusion (car) was indication of likeliness of the remaining range being included.

So this leaves (my guess) with a smallet short list: MG, Caterham or Triumph.

My bet would be that the car Famine's talking about is the Caterham RSTV8 Levante!

aren't 1 and 2 conradictions? 1 says one car and by extension the whole marque and 2 says just one car and not necessarily the whole marque.
