It was a play on words, as in if it was ahead of it time it might be releas....... Ah forget it.

Oh yeah?:nervous:
There's clipping on the character model(things go through each other), shadows are jagged, and those belonging to trees are all messed up, shifting animations are lagging, there's no g-forces(physics)(or even canned animations) applied to the character model, so he doesn't move forward when braking/backward when accelerating/to sides in corners(only the head follows the corner according to steering wheel position)...
It can surely be better than this.;)
This is the forum of gt5!!maybe you should go to heavy rain one:sly:!!
come on man,do you think the driver animation is so essential in a racing game??please.....

Show me one game where it looks better and more natural.

Why does everything always has to come down to this? There are imperfections, accept it. Just because no game has got it better than GT has it doesn't mean GT's imperfections don't exist.

Im a bit surprised that so many people havent noticed more or less the same in GT4 though.

I did. Personally, I believe GT4's animation was alright, but this truly opened my eyes as to how much was there left to improve. 👍

Obviously PD does think it is essential. Otherwise, I don't understand why did they take the trouble to do this...

Sure, but it also shows how hard it is to implement stuff like this.
You shouldnt moan about the really tiny imperfections of something thats still the benchmark in the industry. You can point them out, like in the video, you can discuss them, but dont complain.

Actually thanks for posting that PSP intro again. It's been awhile since I've seen it, and I kinda forgot about some of the cars in that intro that should be in GT5 like the Mazda Furai, the R8 race car, or the Bugatti.

Because there's little point in complaining when there's nothing better around. You wish the state of the art was better? Well, so do I. I'd love to be playing games with FFXIII CG graphics, but I can't. So when I see a game with unmatchable graphics, even though they are still far worse than those of CG footage, I give the game the credit it deserves.

On the Top Gear Track, I wonder if you will be able to drive as the Stig...

I'm not sure Sting is a race car driver, but the Stig is. :sly:

Edit: DARN you Famine!

a million whining idiots can't be wrong, can they?
I take it you missed the discussions we had, noting how many people turn damage off in Forza, and betting how many would turn it off in GT5.

By the way, I'm not too sure about your figures. I've seen perhaps 100 people who want damage at 50% or better on a GT5 poll I made. By the way, I'm one of them...

Not to belabor the point or anything, but whining about things in GT5 isn't going to change anything. If it could, I'd whine a livery editor and race mod into existence.

Your poll was only available to maybe 1% of GT owners. 1% which is more "hardcore" than the average GT buyer. I don't want to call it irrelevant but it wasn't anything concrete.

Has there even been any proof that they have anything Top Gear licensed? Yes, I know they have the track but that isn't owned by BBC.

The location isn't, the track is.

Sorry, I thought it was called Dunsfold and the show just called it Top Gear Test Track for marketing.

Dunsfold is an aerodrome, where TG is filmed. The TG track is laid out on Dunsfold, but was designed for TG by Lotus.

Dunsfold is just an airfield. Top Gear Test Track is a specifical layout in such airfield, designed by Lotus entirely for the show. So I believe it must be copyrighted ;).

EDIT:

I got tree'd (Though I don't quite know the meaning of the term )

Well, at least I was on the same level on this one as Famine :D.
