There is PRO mode in Prologue, but it's good only for time trials. Because all of your AI opponents in races are driving in standard mode and you just don't feel the immersion and competition, they are not fighting hard with traction as you. They just drive, without passion and passionate mistakes, without skids, just drive. How boring. I highly hope that GT5 will solve this as this is the biggest problem of the game for me, big enough not to worry about graphics at all.

Eh no, the AI physics are completely different in both modes, youre right, they dont fight with traction etc. but they need to take turns slower and you also see AI cars spinning more when you drive on Pro.

And i completely disagree with the "its only good for time trials", because the driving itself is so boring in Standard, the racing is a lot more rewarding on Pro (and also more difficult).

Actually, when I drove online, the humin drivers raced almost exactly like the bots do. Maybe people are boring too. ;)

Actually, I have a feeling that outside of private races with my fellow GTP-ers, I'd MUCH rather race with these bots, just as they are.

I never really enjoyed the Standard (Arcade) physics. It never felt natural after playing on the professional physics. Not to mention, the Standard physics online play is just a grief fest.

oh my god :D! i cant see the video it just keeps loading, is it because im using the ps3 browser?

From NeoGaf:

"DuckRacer said:
I got a new issue of Game Informer today, it has some new details regarding GT5 and Nascar. They said what we saw in the trailer was "just a taste" (so we wouldn't only have 14-15 Nascar skins). Sony is apparently "looking into including drivers in GT5" too, which in the context is in could be very interesting.

They also said Nascar wants a stand-alone Nascar sim racer out next fall/early-2011 and that Sony's license with them isn't exclusive (obviously)."

Would PD make GT:NASCAR, as a stand alone game? Full season, most cars and a way to transfer it to GT5. It would bring more Americans to the series.

Think they talk about the PC NASCAR hardcore simulation Iracing.com

[edit] Ignore, heared/read they were talking about another game besides iRacing ;)

ok but even if i don't have gt mobile i can get those cars...... right?

I believe what he is saying is that he wants GT for PSP to be an introduction for new players into the Gran Turismo series, its a good entry point before going to a home console release. Also, if someone has GT for PSP, and later has GT5 for PS3, all the cars you own in your GTMobile career will be in your garage for your GT5 career.

Probably already been said... but this confirms that all cars from GTpsp will be available on GT5
I posted something similar here when the feature was announced a few weeks ago.

But, theres still a possibility that GT5 has less cars than GTmobile.

Let's say you have five cars in GTmobile but two of them are not on GT5. Then you can only import the three cars that are in both games.

From the video I understood that any car that you can own on the PSP GTmobile will be transferable to your PS3 GT5. This means that GT5 will have all the cars as GTmobile

Yes 👍

I read the french text:

"JVN : Y aura-t-il une interactivité entre Gran Turismo PSP et Gran Turismo 5 sur PS3?
Kazunori Yamauchi : Nous considérons la version PSP comme une invitation au jeu Gran Turismo. Je souhaiterais que ceux qui découvrent pour la première fois la série GT puissent le faire via cette version. S’ils débloquent une voiture dans Gran Turismo PSP, elle sera également disponible dans Gran Turismo 5."

The answer translates as:
"We consider the PSP version as an invitation the the Gran Turismo game. I wish that those who discover the Gran Turismo series for the first time could do it through this version. If they unlock one car in Gran Turismo PSP, it will be equally available on Gran Turismo 5"

So I think it's safe to conclude that all cars available on GT mobile will also be available on GT5 :)

I am not so sure it is safe to conclude that, that would indicate GT5 would ship with 800+ cars which is ambitious with such car detail and doesn't coalesce with amar's cryptic hints. as great as that number is I wouldn't jump to conclusions.

For what it's worth, i interpreted it as 'Cars bought on the PSP version can transfered onto GT% when it comes out'. That wouldn't mean every car is transfereable though.

Well, unless you speak japanese, we'll have to go from the french text:
"cars unlocked" is definitely not "cars bought"
and Kaz himself is a better source than the cryptic words of our friend amar

amar wrote something like "600 since the beginning", plus all those to unlock...

Which could itself have a translation issue.

All this is people taking the English translation of a French language interview translated from Japanese.

Too much meaning, both culturally and linguistically, can be lost in that much translation.

Personally, I would rather people quit stating it as confirmed because I don't want to be sitting here when GT5 comes out hearing about how Kaz lied again, when he possibly said nothing of the sort.

I am not saying your wrong, but exactly what Kaz said isn't clear, all I was saying is, its not solid enough to jump to conclusions especially if it isn't concordant with other sources. If we can get a definite translation from Kaz then I would agree we could call it 'safe to conclude'.

Have to agree with you on that.
Don't we have any japanese GTP member?

I don't mean to sound arrogant, but the translation from french to english is 100% correct, I'm fluent at both languages.
I just wish someone could confirm from the japanese words of Kaz

then it would be coming from the horse's mouth :)
