In an interview Yamauchi said he gave his staff 4 years to create Gran Turismo 5

February 2005 - June 2009 = 4 years and 5 months

The game is due at any time

Just a question, At the end of the GT5 trailer is shows the playstation network logo, does it mean the game is downloaded from playstation store or it's nothing ?

Nope, it just means its playable/conneted via the PSN.
The game would be waaaay too big to be a downlad title, just look how big Prologue already is.

I'm tired of crappy interviewers asking the same questions.

How about asking Kaz the REAL situation behind the license of Porsche and Lamborghini and WHY they still have not acquired them.

If I was an interviewer, I would ask, "Hi, Kaz. blahblahblah so most companies have the license of the two most wanted cars right now. Polyphony, a very well known company, has not acquired them. Why is that? Whose fault is it and give us more details"

and you would get the standard generic answers he always gives out when people ask this question

"We are in negotiations"
"License agreements have ended recently and we can start negotiations"
"Maybe"

etc

its old, I know, but this is the only GT I dont really know a lot about, I played GTHD conept, and I have a feeling that GT5 will have some of the stuff from this presentation

I love how near the end when he gives the all-too-noticeable angle of the 599 it's instantly switched back to the pillar view.

so can we assume that everything we see in this 2006 presentation will be in gran turismo 5?

Pause at 1:34 and look at the features some awesome things that should and certainly could be in GT5 like creating teams and liverys. Also wasn't GTHD initially going to be a game until it got cancelled? What if It was gt5 but Kaz delayed it so the ps3 could have some potential later to finally release the game

Welcome to desperation: Watching presentations from 2006.

It is getting pathetic as I've said a few times, we're scavenging for any news available whether it's old or not, and it's being looked at like it's new.

If video game sales were largely based on PR communications, PD wouldn't get much of anything. :irked:

its not that im desperate, just that those features, on 1:34 that Jack_Uk pointed out... well if you ask me I would be sure that GT5 is going to have those features, but why am I so confident? Because I doubt PD started from scratch when GT HD got cancelled. Im just giving people a blast from the past. This is new to me.

Anyone notice the GTHD classic and premium? Goes with one of Amars winds wouldn't you say?

if it's true, I have preordered the "classic" (32£) like many others and I have to cancel it in order to get the "premium" version (full of everything or whatever)
there's no sign of it so if it comes, cancellations pre-orders and queues would get nuts all over the world

An incorrect piece of information in that article stated that GT has never had drag racing. GT4 had a drag racing...

Quoting Myself, from a post Nobody had time to read, as usual.

Sorry for bumping the thread, but ive just recently found an really Old Interview With Kaz where he said some things that actually are in the Whispering Winds...

Fourth wind is talking that birdtamers will reunite in numbers greater than ever and will be granted with ability to talk to each other, make guilds and alliances with undisputed freedom.
Kazunori's going on about the suite of online features: online garage, head to head racing, drift contests, team and club builders, voice chat. It's a lot to shoot for. They admit that not all of this stuff might not be available day one, but expect it to come "soon".

..So this is a really old Wind, so it might be true, right?

Fifth wind says that reunion will happen in two forms, one greater than other and birdtamers will have freedom to decide which reunion they will attend. Greater reunion will ask for great sacrifice to be made in order to get all present and future treasures without new sacrifices needed, while smaller reunion will come in form already known, asking for more sacrifices if future treasures catches the eyes of the birdtamers.

Kaz is pushing the user creation features of GT:HD. Talking about the differences betweek GT:HD Premium and GT:HD Classic. "Over the years we:ve collected massive assets and we've rebuilt those assets in HD".

Why can:t you combine the assets, the features of Classic and Premium and put them into the same game? They did a quick simulation based on that request. Basically, it's a factor of time and that that would take upwards of three years.

I think this kind of another pseudo confirmation of two Versions?....And Three Years...humm...2006+3= 2009, so it might be another hint about Release Date?

I know that was for GTHD, but i dont think Kaz would ditch everything and then say, PD, Gentlemen!...Lets do another GT4 with HD Graphics.

There are some relly good Hints of what we`ll possibly get in GT5, but hey, its Just speculation.

If you want to read the whole Article, its Here

P.D: I Dont want any trophy or something, i havent read that Interview Till today so, please be a little bit Tolerant

Adding a Little bit of more Speculation, by seeing the 06 TGS presentation, that GT classic may be GT:Portable, if u think, it has the same graphics, cars and playing style (10-30 Mins Daily)

And Premium will possibly be GT5

No no, the article was from 2006 when KY has plans for a GTHD release of classic (higher res GT4) and GTHD premium (which has become GT5P). These ideas were scraped.

Oh ok, well that actually kinda sucks, cause track days and allot of online kinda sounds really sick to me, its a like the GT graphics, engine, everything, with NFS features...
