Extensive research says it's the #90 Raeder Motorsport Osram Lamborghini Gallardo from the 24hr Nuerburgring:

window scrolling would probably be the most important feature for me. At least when i get hot playing GT5 i could wind the window down!

Although it might be pointless having the windows down, i can see PD actually contemplating these sort of features ( if i actually believed the source to be correct, which i doubt ), although i much rather have functioning windscreen wipers which you could turn on or off instead of just automatically ( wipers have a function although turning them on or off yourself may be considered pointless ).
Not sure there are any buttons left on the controller to house all these functions though, but indeed it is just trivial stuff not even worth serious debate in my opinion. ;)

Not really. The GT sunstrip was a 24hr Nuerburgring giveaway, and the rear vent made me think of only two cars. 30 seconds of googlebombing later...

+1,000,000 👍

So the footage is confirmed not to have been GT.

Ok I must have missed alot but is Grandcobra really a Sony employee,What he said about those features are pretty strange to be honest so I just want to make sure.

He's been 'called out' on his claims - so time will tell.

Scaff

@ analog so you think he is legit?

How could i possibly even know?
I'm not even close to any inside knowledge and will never claim to be, can only speculate and rely on those who run this site to correct someone if he or she doesn't obey AUP.
Doubt it to be legit though, but then again i always doubt anything unless proven to be true. ;)

Sponsorship was different in the past ('08), did it change last year or for this season?

The images I posted - and the clip from the BBC - were both of the car at the 2008 Nuerburgring 24 hours.

Vincent Viceroy:
"There...sounds a little more plausible dunnit"

Not really, no. Because with all that the game would either be 720p 30fps like motorstorm/pgr/tdu or with one car at a time like the rally games you meantioned. Its a load of crap and a pretty obvious one at that.

Not really, no. Just because a series of things have collectively been done before in other racing games does not mean that everything has worked its way into GT5. Sure, they can all be plausible to some extent, but I call BS an all of it, and if anything does turn out true, it's hardly a tough guess is it? For a start, Kaz stated that the look and feel will be similar to Prologue, but the scale and diversity will be totally different:

So, it's not going to look 20x better than the build Mimaximax has, nor is it going to look even twice as good, not just in terms of how the graphics/tracks look.
I know lads...I was making light of the situation while being factually correct.

CLARIFICATION: I'm not saying all this will happen or if, indeed, he has seen this stuff.

This forum makes me sad :P

In other news Eutechnyx may have grabbed the NASCAR license.

MVC
Studio confirms it is working on “a racing game based on a massive licence"

UK indie stronghold Eutechnyx has revealed it is working on three current projects – one of which is “a racing game based on a massive license we've been working on for the last year”.

The revelations come days after Eutechnyx announced it had snapped up former EA director Ed Martin – a man with first-class experience with the NASCAR racing franchise.

Develop has the full story.
Doubt it would impact on GT5...would it?

Weird, the site I got the pic from listed it as the '08 car.

Yes - they campaigned the car in a multitude of races that season. However, for the 24hr 'Ring race it looked like it does in the picture I posted (from the team's own website) and the video linked.

Famine you're a genius! Are you by any chance friends with Anika Rice and her helicopter flying chum? were you sporting some kind of brightly coloured shell suit as you whizzed through Google to find that image of the car? Pretty impressing searching skills none the less. I hang my head in shame with that bad video post. Would anyone like to flog me? I have my own cat o' nine tails and a special suit. I wear the suit, it's my suit.

Why didn't you post the information Grandcobra provided? At least it would have sounded more plausable coming from you!

I doubt it. To be fair, I can't see any racing game franchise impacting GT5 much, even if GTR3 launched on PS3 at the same time.

A full competitor stealing customers away from GT5 on the same console is unlikely to happen soon i guess, maybe an additional purchase is the best they could hope for.
If i were a developer i would either concentrate on one aspect ( like F1 2010, etc.) or touch those aspects PD doesn't chose to feature.
Think there's still room and scope for different and original racing/driving titles alongside GT, Dirt and all those arcade titles.

Yep, I've played DiRT and DiRT2, loved them both - not too bothered about GRiD though, but definitely interested in F1 2010.
