I just want to see some hard core extreme proof...

I'm talking about a video, of him, on his computer, in a sony office building, with a name tag that says "His name" and him holding a copy of GT5 with kazunori standing right behind him. Then, and only then, Will i believe the BS.

BTW TDU2 according to the latest PSM magazine, will feature weather effects, vehicle damage, day/night cycles - not only does the time of day affect traffic levels but it's also syncronised with everyone online, to maintain a persistent world.

So I'm thinking if TDU2 can do this so can PD!

That's good, But then again TDU2 does not look all the impressive(At least for this GEN) Hell, TDU on PC looks almost a bit better then TDU2..imo, So that's saying, They will have a lot of extra resources for things like weather effects and day and night.

I work for Sony in the SOE devision (Sony Online Entertainment) and I got to see the game in person at PD's studio. PD are heavily focused on GT5's online components and I had to be there 2 weeks ago and during my stay tons of info was revealed to me and I had actually seen a completely brand new build of the game.

Ok, then you would be well aware that PD has another seperate building dedicated to the online side of GT5 (and GT5P), you would know the address to this building.

Everyone knows or has easy access to the address of the main PD studio building but what is the address of the secondary building?

The current graphics of TDU2 are not the final product.

Don't believe.He answers like a teen.Sorry man.
Saddest of all you GrandCobra raises our hopes to the peak. This is like crime for me.We all here love GT and take it seriously.
If you right - i'm sorry and get my words back, but if not - just say it to us.We need to know.
Like crime - i tell you like crime...

I'm not really 18 years old, there's a reason for why I did that and it's something to do with the problems I had signing up to GTplanet.

I'm 27 years old

You will not post any material that is knowingly false, misleading, or inaccurate.

And, with that in mind:

GrandCobra
I saw of this about 2 weeks ago

I'm going to call (January) bollocks (February) on everything (February) you've (February) posted (March) in this (March) thread (March) so far (March). Two weeks ago you were posting from the same, domestic IP address that you are now, and at the same times of day.

And I'll leave the last word, as ever, to my good friend danoff.

If he is legit than I'm sorry, but what he seems to know seems like someone that is very in the know about stuff at PD. But judging by a few of his past posts he had just as many questions about some features as the rest of us, so if he could know so much now, just wondering what has changed.
I could write something just as convincing if I wanted to. It just reads like a list of things that most people here hope will be in the game. Having backed that up with what Famine wrote, I'm even more sceptical.

As ever, with anything like this, if he can't prove his background and source, he might as well not bother because all he will get is responses like this. Still, I'm sure some people still believe him, so his efforts were not totally wasted!

Haha it's getting worse every day..
Due to the lack of news we have now people PRETENDING they have news & are from PD.
Maybe tomorrow someone who claims to be of a magazine

From Mimaximax.
Haven't seen this one posted over the last 20 pages so...

Love how the Supra avoids the incoming GT-R towards the end !

I wish that, if they're going to insist on this silly cosmetic damage, they'd make the cars more fragile. I mean, scuffing up the front bumper after a 140mph tyre-wall collision is just daft - to say nothing of the fact it's scuffed above and below the canard, but the canard is still in place.

That said, the most startling part of the video is the Castrol Supra's evasive action. Nice.

Wow, if thats the final damage build, be prepared for the great whine when it comes out.
I don't care much for damage, even less when its that unrealistic.

But that Supra NOT hitting the GTR is good news.

Well, nothing I've seen in terms of damage has impressed me at all, and I'm also of the opinion that if they can't do it right (for licensing reasons or whatever), then don't do it at all, because the scrapes you get in Forza look stupid. Crash at 100mph and the side of the car you didn't hit suddenly has half of its paint missing...

Having said that, GrandCobra has all of the answers I'm sure ;)

Nice swerve by the AI though, very nice.

Apparently you have it all wrong - Stupid fake scuff damage is one of the main reasons Forza is better than GT. By all accounts GT can't even call itself a simulator if it doesn't have stupid fake scuff damage.

More important than physics by all accounts

Unfortunately, fake scuff damage rates very highly with a large number of gamers and game journalists. And, well... you know, it is some kind of consequence for banging your car. Ferrari Challenge level damage would probably satisfy a number of us. Frankly, some damage on race cars and some work on sound works for me. ;) 👍

Evidently I do! :sly:

I don't need damage if it's like that.
It's pathetic.

But the move of the Supra is very, very good news,
and actually rates higher in my opinion.

damage hype reduces with these videos.ater 5 years waiting we gonna get titanium cars.forget the damage release the game and dont waste your time your dreams to make real. Its not gonna happen till GT6.

Wait...

Didn't GrandCobra say that the CES build was old? If that's the case, and it's the build that Mimaximax has access to, then we have nothing to worry about, right?! ;)

Haha, I haven't worried about Gran Turismo for a long time now..
Since the news stopped flooding,
my attention did too in some way.
I'll still be excited though, but it became less and less important.

I'm sure the final product will have more damage than that; I think KY said so, that the damage wasn't finalized yet. Really, stop worrying so much, I'm sure PD will get it together or the inal product. Have some faith...

I would support entirely Famine's post on this. As for Ferrari Challenge / Supercar Challenge damage, that wouldn't satisfy me either since it basically covers visual damage.

What the majority of those who don't want damage to be included and joke around those who do fail to realize is that it isn't the visual damage that matters (although it is important in an extent for added realism), but the mechanical damage is the issue on a "real driving simulator". Please make it real then!

Yeah that Grandcobra guy sounds like a complete mofo to me. However, i've just found this video from the comsumer gadget show in the UK. Check the very end of the video where a game is be demoed (albeit briefly) at the very end. The first shots appear to show rain, the second shot shows a car which looks like it had the GT symbol on the windscreen. Bad quality so i'm probably wrong, but worth a look:

On second look, this video may be real life rather than a video game. -1 to me

Damn this moment with the door open looks like GT

It's not a video game. I think it's a real race.
And yes, the car in the end does have a GT sticker on it but it's a real race car I'm sure of it ;)
