That's a SEMA winner that's been put into GT5 in much the same way the HPA Golf and Buick Special cars were in GT4. I'd guess that you buy it like that, but the other Tuned cars that arn't actual real tuned cars are examples of what we will be able to do through upgrades in GT5.

Oh right, well that's still good news then if the other cars are examples of what we would be able to do to our cars through upgrades. The customisation looks even better than before.

The car list has real tuners such as Amuse and NISMO, but others are manufacturer 'tuned' cars. GT5p had the same. It seems these are pre-built 'tuned' cars (ie, from the GT Dealer), not user built tuned cars as in GT4. Hopefully this is just the limitations of the 'demo' he is using. I didn't mind the 'tuned' cars in GT5p, but obviously like everyone else, I was greatly looking forward to more options to tune a normal car from scratch. :nervous:

The previous video of the TVR encouraged me, as we could see the CF hood, nose and tail (weight reduction 2?) and the race exhaust, race tires, etc... I always was a little disappointed with GT4 in that regard. You could determine when you went to race tires, but that was about it. GT5 promises that, but the demos appear to be pre-package cars.

high end performance g37 video

I think I just threw up a little seeing that G37 monstrosity. I'm all for modded cars but OMG that is ghastly. I love that you can see everything through those giant holes. For some reason the radiator is shaped like an intercooler? I thought it was an intercooler but no pipes lead to it. I like the red/blue AN fittings leading to what looks like oil coolers? Steel braided lines?
Hmm, is that a real shop car? The little gauges on the inside are definitely not stock and I doubt we can change the interior so much so I can only assume it's a real car. Same goes for the interior color scheme. The red brace right under the rear bumper.
The roof view looked so unbelievably real I was shocked.
EDIT: It is a real car, Should've known.

Well, this is a real car. A car someone had built for them. The guy passed away I think.

I think it's 100% clear that we'll be able to do that, (customize), to any car in GT5. Well, nearly every car. And it's about time! :)

GT Auto will be legally insane. My words; mark them.

Why, exactly? While I do feel the same way, there simply isn't enough proof to back that up. The G37 is just like all the other real cars scanned and modeled to look like the real car. While I think that the TUNED named cars are created using the in game shop, there is still no real proof.

It's way too apparent to me. Seeing KY at the auto shows and noticing his huge grin as he admires a car whose driver has spilled his heart onto it.

He'd definitely want to translate that to GT5. Again, this is in no way proof, but it's sort of like faith. I'm not a religious dude, but damn, it's as if I feel it. Feels sexy.

I'm sure he had the same grin when he saw modded cars before GT and before gt2 and before gt3 and before gt4. Nothing really stopped him before yet he still didn't put a good TUNING mode in the game while other japanese car games were doing it.

Well, I think in the earlier titles, he was going after the driving experience and physics.
Turn here. Slow down here. Accelerate here. Brake hard here, etc.

But I've been preaching for some time now that GT5 will branch out. It will spread its wings, not forgetting the physics or the driving experience, but rather adding another aspect of car driving; the ownership of them.

And that's what I believe GT Auto will provide.
And a livery editor would just be icing on the cake. And the cake would be modding/customizing. Depending on who you ask, that may be flipped. Either way, I'll take them both.

Between GT1 and GT4 was there really so much difference in the overall feel of the games that they had no time to add these features?
I was hoping for those features in GT4. TXR games spoiled me when it came to customizing that's why GT4 never lived up to my expectations.

SRD just wait for the Tuner Wars that you and I will have, just you wait!

Hey, it beats me too, man!

But here's how I see things:

GT-GT4: The relationship between car and driver is purely a track-only experience. You get to know the car for what it can do on a given course. You can sense a C5 Vette's handling with S2 tires and you can get a feel for an SLR McLaren at top speed. It's a bland relationship. It's basic. It was a driving simulator, afterall.

GT5: The relationship between car and driver is a track, personal, and global experience. GT Auto should add another dimension to the relationship; the ability to own it. To make it YOURS. A ZR1 is a ZR1, but when you add a spoiler, sideskirts, and some vinyls, it's now YOURS. Not mine. And the online mode furthers that to a global level with matching teammates' cars.

I hope GT5 will be as you say. Would bring alot more depth to the game plus longevity I think. I like the idea of having race teams you form with friends and stuff. Styled to match, built to perform. 👍

I cannot think of GT5 being any other way, friend.

I would also venture to say that GT5 will have the same impact as the original GT.

Oh, and GT5 will do away with "car and driver". It will become "car and owner". They're two very different concepts: You can test out a car for a weekend. But to own it, that's a whole new ballgame.

:) :) :)

After all that "soon" and others from Kaz maybe it's not a 100% proof xD but he said in an interview that there will be spoilers, bumpers etc. and there will be visual modifications for cars. He also said that these parts will change car's aerodynamics.
Though we still don't know what about livery/coloring editor...

ps. Sorry for my English ;)

You certainly like GT Auto!

I'd like to know if PSM3 is already available, because it is an article about racing games with an interview with Yamauchi. If it has been released, can someone who has it tell if there is something new? Thanks.

Wasn't worth it, Just a screen shot of the 3 SLS cars on SSR5, with a 7 questions that went like thus:

1,Mong: What was the hardest part of development?
Kaz: Collecting high precision data for HD gameplay, development of the server and software for online functionality and the rest of the game.
2, Mong: Are there aspects you've changed after seeing rivals games?
Kaz: Not in particular.
3, Mong: How different will it be to prlogue?
Kaz: The look and feel will be similar but GT5 will be totally different in diversity and scale.
4, Mong: We hear GT5 will be playable in 3D? Would you consider adding other technologies like motion control for this game or in the future?
Kaz: If there are any display peripherals r devices I'm sure we will work to support them.
5, Mong: Given more time would you add more cars to GT5 or are you happy?
Kaz: I couldn't say it was enough, cars have 150 years of history behind them.
6, Mong: One criticism of the franchise is the AI feeling robotic, will you give GT5 a more human feel?
Kaz: Up until GT4 it was about getting the laptimes correct, now that has been somewhat successful an attempt to make the AI more human in GT5 has been made.
7, Mong: Having worked on the game for so long will you be relieved to see it finally done?
Kaz: I would probably be relieved in the terms of fulfilling my responsibilities. But I may be angry at the same time. As it has been with all of the releases so far, I'm never fully satisfied with what I create.

I cut down the questions a little to save typing all the crap but that was the whole interview.

Posted back on page 549. Nothing new whatsoever.

I don't expect any real info about GT5 until about a month before E3, which would be the middle of May. And then, not all that much. I could be wrong though. I didn't think there would be any GT5 showing at Cologne last year. I think Kaz really wants to surprise us at E3.

Yeah Kaz likes to do bad surprise. He will say march 2011

Yeah that mag also had a disk with a trailer on that I missed. It was only the E3 one though.

Someone also asked about the release date since it said it on the front of the magazine, it actually said "UK Release date?" and then just said it was this year.
