Oh this is good, too good to be true actually:drool:

EDIT: some pics with the GT sticker on the cars.
You should read this article ;) it's from april 16th, I don't know if it has already been posted.

I think the GT5 era will see the online racing move in, and become the way most people choose to get their racing fix.

I've never been terribly impressed with the selection of events, and how championships are locked to a series of tracks. A good event generator would help that problem, but then there's still the imbalance in driver skill from the AI at the front of the pack, and those at the back. I can't remember the last time an AI car pressured me, or even executed a good pass, on me.
I can't either, but they did on me. ;)

By the way, I'm a bit puzzled by the "championships are locked to a series of tracks" remark. That's how championships are handled in real life motorsports. The Master and his team are pretty clever though, and I trust him when he says GT5 is going to be something new and advanced. It's possible that a lot of work is going into making online events much like they are with offline GT Mode. There may be servers set up to support all kinds of online championships, even seasons. But I still don't think that most gamers will abandon offline GT Mode for online. And with GT5, I expect some grand improvements on the offline gameplay. Along with the improved A.I., I expect there to be a very nice and involved Career Mode. As with everything of course, we'll have to see, but I doubt I'm going to be anything but enthusiastic for the game all the way round. After all, there are things like this to hint at what's coming:

BTW, a week or two ago someone said some nascar drivers twittered they were beta testing GT5..
Does anyone know more about that today?
I expect this will be a deep dark secret until E3, or just before.

Just a sponsor. The banner is on nearly every single car that has participated within the last 2 years or so.

Hmm. Regardless, I HOPE they got that license. I mean, I'm not dying to have the cars in the game, but it would be a great edition to the already amazing lineup.

They don't have Porsche, not for GT5. This has been covered many a time and has been confirmed both by Porsche and recently by Kazunori himself. The Nurburgring 24hr race is sponsored by Gran Turismo so the cars all have Gran Turismo banners on them. Besides, PD sponsoring a racing team doesn't indicate that the cars that team choose to use will be in the game, it's just advertising and publicity. If a GT5 commercial comes on TV during the break in a Porsche cup race for example, that doesn't mean the Porsche cup is in GT5.

Yep:tup:

We should get Porsche one day. Maybe by DLC in GT5, maybe in GT6. If we show our usual gratitude to SONY by purchasing 10 million copies of GT5, they might be motivated to pay the stupid amounts of money a certain party wants for the license.

But personally, I'm okay with RUF.

NFS Shift have Ferraris on DLC.I think there is a chance even in GT5.

(I personally don't like the Porsches but i want to drive EVERY SINGLE car in GT5 and REALLY feel that the game in not accomplished without them!)

My concern about it comes in to play once you've cleared a series, especially the shorter, 3 track events, I wouldn't find much reason to go back to a class of cars because of the limited use of tracks. Sure, most real series are back to the same tracks every year, but they're not permanently locked to them. They're subject to contracts and agreements with the track owners.

But, in a simulator, we should be a little more open to race what and where we want, and not just in TTs. Sure, in GT career mode, they should be predetermined tracks for a championship, for the sake of progress and unlocking, but there's no where to go to race those same cars on different tracks after that. A robust, user controlled online, where we choose all of the parameters, opens up the possibilities to every conceivable car/track combination.

I've done a lot of great racing with the good people at www.tunerspit.com, and I probably played more of GT5Prologue than I did any other GT, thanks to the thrill of racing live people. The AI just doesn't cut it for me.

Hell whats wrong with PD? Are they alife? how ignorant are they?

Huh? They're probably just working on GT5 right now, unless there's a delay caused by Eyjafjallajokull which prevented Kaz form returning to HQ and all his employees running around like headless chickens since then.
Highly unlikely if you asked me.:indiff:

💡 Speaking of DLC in GT5 today I started wondering if GT5 would indeed add more cars now PD have the ability to. I wondered this because I feel that it would be a good idea to keep adding the latest models as time passes, just like Forza 3 (for example the 458 italia.) I know in past interviews that Kazunori has said that GT5 will be a complete finished product and no DLC will be added but surely PD would have to, insuring they keep up with Turn 10 by adding new cars that perhaps they can't put in the game now but maybe able to in the future. I understand that GT5 will have approximatley 600 cars more than Forza and I am totally greatful for PD's work and efforts but this would be an extremely useful feature to incorporate. 💡

By the way I was thinking in future cars by terms like the next-gen ford focus or the Aston Martin One-77 etc. :)

They're probably actually taking the time to sleep under their desks now that boss man is gone.

I'm guessing since Kaz has been in Europe for awhile and will be racing the Ring 24hrs, GT5 is done! And just waiting for Sony to decide when to release it!!

I think it's done by long time .

I don't think it's done already, because of that quote:

“Actually, I think that March would’ve been too early. We could have produced the game in time to make that deadline, but the finished product wouldn’t have had everything that I wanted to include.”

I think they are implementing those last features Kaz wants to see in the game ...and of course polishing everything up.

I think pretty much whatever Kaz says about the development of the game is just PR, I don't think Sony wants him saying its pretty much done again.
