While the footage isn't from GT5, the cars will eventually show up in GT5. Veryon with a active aero/brake:

GT5 won't really need advertising. Since the sales basically need to be made by the week of Christmas, the thing will advertise itself. I have no doubt that with zero ads other than a few website banners and store posters, the game will sell out within a day or two.

Quick edit: and by this, what I'm saying is that GT5 really could release about any time, and won't need three months of publicity before they launch it. Supercar Challenge, however, probably needs 3 months of ads just to get noticed by more than a few thousand people. GT5 will sell itself.

It'll have a huge marketing campaign by the Sony team.

Every tidbits... ahhhh ANTICIPATION growing!!! :D Furai concept looks sooo good

I know what you mean, alba. Time is crawling even slower than for E3. :P

Why do people keep saying that? No matter how big something is it still needs some sort of ad campaign to sell.
GT5 Prologue sold 4 million copies and was a platinum pre-seller with almost no advertising. It did this in contrast to Forza 2 which sold as much in a longer period of time with lots of advertising. And by the way, yes, there will be advertising for GT5, but I think it's not going to be that big.

Why does it have to be October 1st?!

I swear, whomever is in charge of finding the most probable release dates does this on purpose: "Hey Joe, what's the date that's the most farthest away from this announcement, but not too far that it won't NOT want to make people pull their hair out?"

I believe those are from GT5. The Veyron, for example, has rendered effects such as bloom around the brake lights and the Mazda shot shows, clearly in my mind, at GT5 rendered track.

Both just look too nice for them to be on PSP and neither look as good as CGI.

Its clearly GT5, has to be, if thats GT mobile, then it makes GT5 prologue look a little dry.

You know, as soon as he says that you will be able to transfer cars from GT mobile to GT5, those car models come up, so its kinda clear.

Q4 2009, or fiscal Q3 2009. It is the first day of the Christmas quarter so the launch sales + Christmas sales will look very, very good when it comes time to do their quarterly report.

If it were in September the sales numbers would be split and not look as good on any one report.

-> Wow! The Furai is in!!!

^ And its not the (messed up) liveried version like the real life prototype!

They clearly arn't GT5, the quality of the models is much lower han GT5:P standards. Lower than GT4 even. Look at the openings and intakes/outtakes on the cars, they're flat textures. And the track from that pic looks like any low quality picture of a track, it could be a poor GT4 picture for all you could tell. There's nothing in the track scenery or in view that displays anything to suggest it's GT5.

Indeed. Check the side mirror, the spoiler of the Veyron etc...
It's all low res, no GT5.

That car in particular needs A LOT of polygons since the body is round like an egg.

^ Plus in Gran Turismo tradition, that Veyron should have a manufacturer-made rear license plates:

:)👍
GTAce approves this post. ;)

But the Veyron going around the corner looked almost like GT5ish quality, so its a nice thing to have.

^ Hmm...wow, that kinda broke the usual tradition ain't it? It does show that it is a PSP version (in El Capitan).

-> Well I guess, it started with the GT-R "Black Mask" edition so might as well. No biggie actually.

So... question. Did anyone ever get scans of that issue of play-mag that supposedly confirmed weather in GT5?

This post got my attention.

Just watched the videos from here (https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=119879&page=9) and the woman journalist asks if weather conditions had been considered and will they have a dramatic effect on driving physics. The PD guy responded with something along the lines of 'yes, this is something we're looking to implement into GT5'.

I hope they persued this and that play-mag confirms it.

I hope the "top speed mode" is available with the Veyron in GT5 by setting it in the real time adjustment menu (or anywhere), I wan't to hit 400km/h and it wont do it in the "handling mode".
