Wow, this thread is so annoying simply because nobody has any idea what they're talking about. Myself included.

Premium cars with standard physics? Standard cars with premium physics? Oh wait, what about premium tracks? What makes a premium track different from a standard track? What happens when I drive a standard car on a premium track? Will my PS3 freeze and never be able to be used again? What if all of our complaints of confusion on this forum make PD decide to delay the game for another year!?

We can only speculate. I'm just trusting that PD will clear everything up either at the German video game press conference in August, or when the game ships.

Everyone needs to relax, the game will be at least better than any other racing game out there for consoles. The game may not live up to our wildest expectations, but hey, that's life.

Whoever made that list needs to be backhanded hard. Seriusly, who the hell is gonna believe that?

3D was not what held up GT5. From what I have read its not that hard to implement and since it is such a big deal for Sony they basically tell you how to do it.

I believe there were 2 major things that held up GT5. Starting from scratch and adding damage mid dev process.

Hey since you live in Hong Kong can you get someone to ask these questions being asked in Japanese on Kaz's twitter page? Maybe the cockpit view question.

Mr Yamauchi didn't really replay many questions on that "twitter session"? - he mostly thanked for compliments from Japanese people, who were really exited about GT5 - they definitely did not grumble about everything - although I presume they have their own forums for that ... unless they are like the Japanese people I know - wouldn't grumble contrary would respect the genius of the creator...

Well back on topic... - Mr Yamauchi replayed to one more concrete question - there will probably be no demo - PD won't have time to make it.

I believe that only one thing delayed GT5, bad planning, and that's all.

They didn't sized the team according to the concept and scope of the game, hence they didn't have time to develop all the features they wanted.

Yes. Only now at the final stretch did they add more workers. Well, we'll still get a great game. But I bet GT6's planning will take a different approach.

right, it had nothing to do with making Tourist Trophy and GTPSP in the middle of making GT5. They didn't need to take any time out of making GT5 to make those two. Despite the fact that Kaz mentioned that when they were making TT, half the GT5 team was busy with that and when making GTPSP, they had to occasionally pause GT5 development to make it...oh and don't forget about GT for Boys, which is now supposed to be a feature in GT5. But you're right, it was poor planning and it had nothing to do with the fact they've been working on three other games at the same time they were making GT5.

On another note: Anyone notice the two "Special Events" sections on that GT Life menu? From the pictures shown, it would seem one is for Single Make Races and the like and the other is for NASCAR and WRC and maybe SuperGT events.

That's a BS list dude.

"Ford Excursion Limited '01
Ford Excursion EL '07
Ford Expedition '97
Ford Expedition '03
Ford Expedition Limited '07
Ford Expedition EL '07
Ford Explorer '01
Ford Explorer '06
Ford Explorer Sport Trac '03
Ford Explorer Sport Trac '10"

I hope you're right. I'd be pissed if I waited this long for PD to model pointless monstrosities. One or two just for ***** and grins is alright, but 10? And thats only from Ford.

Ya, maybe send Kaz on an indefinite holiday...I don't take anything away from him and what he has accomplished in the past, but it seems to me he openly obsesses about the wrong game details...for way too long.

What are you riled up about?

Also, you can consider working on different games as bad planning, right?

It's not bad planning 'cause EVERY game developer does it. And at least GT For Boys isn't going to delay it longer 'cause it's now apart of the GT5 development. And they wanted to get GTPSP out the door because it was supposed to be a PSP launch title and ended up being a PSPGo launch title.

At least it's coming out this year. And at least they didn't release GTHD. (Which, I think the only reason why there were going to release GTHD as GT5 was because they knew there were going to get held up with GTPSP and wanted to kick GT5 out the door to work on GTPSP and then filter out content slowly. So, if you think about, it was our complaining that got GT5's development to five years.)

* rest of post *

And by developing another game(s) using the same development team what do you think I meant? Bad planning.

Woot, Page 911!

I Just believe they would have to dedicate on Doing at least 200-400 More Premium Cars and Fixing whatever the People Find Horrible in GT5, and then Releasing it as GT6 or something like Super Street Fighter IV, and Ofcourse, On the PS3...Not PS4

Ditto chepu, I don't know what happened, everyone was eagerly waiting for E3 and a release date, the forum was surrounded by positive hype, many ( including me ) stated that a release date would be enough and then, PD gives us awesome new details and bring some clarification on the cockpit issue and many people start to post useless rants at PD and flaming and trolling everyone who dares to disagree. C'mon GT5 is still just a game, PD is delivering us the a gorgeous pack of new features and 200 awesomely detailed cars among with the rehashed GT legends that we love and are used to, I can't see from where all this whining and anger came from, since they're delivering almost pretty much we wanted.

Honeslty, I was looking forward to drive all the cars in cockpit view, but if that isn't possible, it's ok, the game still has a lot to offer and ignore all the greatness of the game just by nitpicking at details is just dumb.

Yup, here's hoping for GT6.
Seems a lot of people are starting to think of GT6 before 5 is even released.

It is amusing yeah, but I guess it's only natural since we've been given the news that so much of the content we expected actually won't be finished for gt5.
