I'm sure we'll still have to wait until August to find stuff out...although, I wouldn't be surprised if there was stuff unveiled in July, as well...maybe something for the 4th?

Some people complain about the Time Trial being like driving on ice, and that you needed extremely gentle throttle application. Well that's how it is in real racing cars too, that don't have a lot of grip and plenty of torque/horsepower

The only time he's full throttle is when the car is pointed straight, very much like in the Time Trial. That's why the DFGT is so crappy, soft mushy pedals with low travel, make for hard time to keep at part throttle/brake

Kaz's most recent tweet talking about the SCEE news. Can anyone here accurately translate?

Quick translation by me:

"There's been a lot of confusing information in UK, but I haven't promised anything at E3. That article was made by the SCEE marketing team, but I have a hard time understanding what they are saying. RT @esegk: How should be comprehend this message? RT @Kaz_Yamauchi: It'll be neat if things like climate change was implemented in GT5."

They way it's written was vague: It can be comprehended as 1) He does not understand why SCEE permitted such a leak. 2) He does not know of any such plans/implementations detailed in the article.

I guess we'll find out in August...maybe sooner.

There's some sort of interior view at :50 of the second video, better than nothing. :)

Awesome videos.

Better than the cockpit view we have in gt5p. All you see is the rear view and the top of the dash. No steering wheel, just as it should be.

That's because they ARE straight from GT4. Yeah, it was made extremely early in GT5's development when all the cars were still wire frame models and things and Sony wanted something for E3 so they used E3. BTW, some of the scenes in that video were used in GT4's intro video, as well.

And besides, GT5 is going to have 3D support and Headtracking. I don't think they'd have GT4 quality cars in a game that's 3D....and headtracking implies that EVERY car will have cockpits.

Still it's been a very long wait, and since most PS3's dont support backwards comp, they, in retrospect should have released a GT4HD, which is basically the Vision videos, same cars same tracks, plus perks like better textures\3d\lighting visual effects 24+ Cars + Online. Shoulda coulda woulda.

*video*

But the car in that video has WAY more power than a stock 370Z. I can understand the car breaking out with a nice stab to the throttle in first or second gear, but 3-6 gears with slow pressure on the pedal should not break the tires loose. (very little or hardly at all)

Thanks. 👍

Yes but a Stock 370z isn't a race car with 500+ bhp. Pretty much what R1600Turbo said

True, but the 370z has 247kw (331bhp) :P

Stock yeah, but I'm talking about the tuned one

It looks to me as if he's unhappy about features being revealed ahead of when he intends to reveal them combined with features he has planned to include but doesn't know if he can fit then in correctly in the time left for development.

Again.. 8 degree of celsius doesn't offer much grip. Part of why it (academy / Indianapolis) must have felt so (relatively) slippery...

It looks to me like the same old, same old.

An endless cycle of confusion as to almost any feature.

I think the only thing, apparently conclusive, is the game will release Nov 2nd.

Yeah I actually think Kaz'a twitter sort of un-confirms the whole go kart track editor stuff, still not sure about weather though ,but the old R8 in GT video is still giving me hop that it might make it(the weather that is)

Which r8 video confirms weather?

Actually, that article mirrors what we have heard from various different people who have contacted PD directly.

Nothing is certain, but it does seem likely all cars will have some form of a cockpit view.

;)

It´s fake. I searched for the phrase "Standard cars do indeed have a cockpit/dashboard view, just not nearly as detailed as the premium cars" and it took me to a post in this forum. Maybe they made it up, or maybe this unknown webpage from Australia was chosen by Poliphony Digital to make the announcement. You choose.

If you google the whole reply from PD it will find this page: http://www.psu.com/forums/showthread.php?t=235818&p=5067481#post5067481 and from there is link to GTplanet thread.

Great news!! Now 1:1 steering animation is all we need :)

1:1 animation would be awesome, BUT what would be even better is the option to change the steering degree for GT/LMP and F1 cars. It's hard making such fast turns while turning a wheel 900 degrees.
