Nice find. Cool to know that you'll be able to tune hybrids =P

Wow!Really good interview.Very interesting and authentic!!!Thanks to reviewer - he seems really love and respect GT and Kaz! 👍

Same here. The things that gave it away for me were the headlights, the grill, the accumulation of dirt/bugs, and the missing effect of the blue filter that PD uses.

Yeah, the grill isn't nearly perfect enough, is it? It'll be incredible when damage gets so detailed, though really, what's the point?

RUF are in GT psp... including the yellowbird one I believe... so you'll get your wish on that one! but would like some new models! too!

Can you tell me what RUF's are in PSP? Is it the same list as the ones in GT4?

@Radracing

Awesome RUF pics

after seeing these pics, i don't want Porsche,

RUF all the way!!!!
👍

Yeah, I mean it's kinda like choosing between driving a stock Honda S2000 or the Amuse S2000. Although I'm sure there are a lot of Porsche purist here in our forums that would beg to differ but if Porsche is to greedy to share the driving pleasure with us gamers then so be it. More power to RUF then.

Sure, I'll take a look. main problem is the showroom on PSP is purely chance, so I cant just go to RUF if you get what I mean... but I believe from what I remember theyre the same as GT4. The Yellowbird style model, The Boxster style and the RUF RGT (I bought that one :sly:) But I'll keep an eye out for when RUF come back up and give you the exact list... but off the top of my head its GT4s RUF lineup.

I've heard (and read on here) about people talking about GT5 outselling FM3 (or 4) but am I the only one who's from the old days when the only people worried about sales figures for a game where shareholders? I mean, no offence to anyone here but so long as theres 1 copy of GT5 for me I couldnt care less how many millions it could sell haha!

Why is it so important these days!

It's not that the grill is not perfect, but that images of real life cars like the one posted have a couple of things that I have yet to see convincingly replicated in any video game. The grill is one of the things that I have not seen done completely convincingly, and it's usually because in video games, they're too perfect. Real life is dirty and imperfect, and I don't think games will get to the point of realistically capturing that for a while longer.

Edit: Reread your post and realized that you were saying pretty much the same thing as me, but reversed.

These days every game out there that is worth it's salt demands movie like budgets ,and just like movies expect a box office smash profit to break even .
Gone are the days of spotty guys making games to please themselves .When big hollywood stars are in your game they want paying and the only way they can get the money is by selling ,selling selling

Yeah the yellow bird was awesome in GT4...

It would be awesome if RUF would tune an Carrera GT and we would get it in GT5, definetly the best car from Porsche for me...

I do love how theres pick up trucks in GT psp... I was wondering why these would be showing up in GT5... that was until I remembered Nascar! The fans of Nascar will want to drive the car they own too... and I doubt they'll be driving Toyota Yaris's :sly:

pickup truck racing's pretty popular in racing games. If trucks do appear in GT5, then I'll, at least, start a Sport Truck Racing League. :)

So I'm not the only one that had a few laughs playing with the Ram or Tacoma? That's one of the more appealing aspects of games like Enthusia, and yes, Forza: they really do look at SUV's too. I want to take a Q7 TDI around a track just for laughs, to see what it compares to. How "Sport" is the Range Rover? Bring back the Forester!

GT makes a token nod to trucks and SUV's, but they're missing out on a range of interesting (if questionable) vehicles. I'd never want to own most of them in real life because they represent too much of what I don't like... but in a game, that all goes out the window.

Talking about SUV,

should the latest iteration of the QX from Infiniti make it

👍 You're not the only one liking the "odd" vehicles, especially liked your last sentence as it could refer to a vast number of cars ( not only SUV's and trucks ) I wouldn't be seen dead in in real life but in a game I am free to experience and have fun with without worrying how it makes me look driving them.

Except, I don't know if that's true. When FM1 came out, EA's exclusive liceneses with Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini had already run out. And it's only now that EA renewed their exclusive Porsche license. And actually, I believe MS picked up the exclusive license for the years EA hasn't had it. (As FM has been one of the only series to have Porsche) Now, it would appear MS's exclusive license has expired and EA has captured it again.

Dear Mr. XXX

thank you for your e-mail from 19th of August and your encouragement about our commitment in the area of computer gaming, which we are happy to answer. Please excuse our belated response.

In general we concede with you [editorial note: as in me saying that Porsche can't afford to not be in Gran Turismo anymore]. But for about 10 years by now, there has been an exclusive cooperation in the area of entertainment software between Porsche and Electronic Arts. Then, the prelude was the Porsche-only version of 'Need for Speed'. This cooperation still exists, and in the meantime, there has been a multitude of further mutual projects.

As for all of our cooperation partners, we are interested in a durable and good partnership. That involves meeting decisions which, from the outside, might not reveal themselves instantly, such as the decision to not be featured in 'Gran Turismo'.

We hope to have helped you with these short background informations and remain

with best regards
XXX XXX

On the other hand, there are a few sublicenses handed out by Electronic Arts. This happens to be the case for the Forza Motorsport game series. Due to our close cooperation with Electronic Arts, we accept their entrepreneurial decisions to give out sublicenses. Electronic Arts operates in the area of entertainment software, we operate in the area of producing cars. In terms of a good partnership, we only deem it best to let every one of our partners operate freely in their respective branch. Even if that means that there will be decisions which we would have met differently.

Translation: "We have an exclusive contract with EA, but if someone pays us tens of millions of dollars, then we might be interested in allowing other companies to use our cars."
