The pad is smoothed out and not 1:1 in Prologue

But in the Time Trial they completely changed it to 1:1, full lock on the car is full lock on the pad so you have to be ultra smooth

Sasuki do you mind giving me your xbox gamertag, mine is spagetti69.

I'll do some arcade racing with you on forza.
Either the rental version or the one you own, doesn't matter.

You saying my lateral/rotational movement is bs is abit inconsederate.
Using a thumb to throw your car around a rally track or even an endurance race is not considered an aid. Conpared with the guy manually wrestling with a wheel.

BTW I don't consider your reasoning bs. I have more respect.

Wheel users get force feedback, which could be considered an aid in itself. You don't get such feedback with a pad which makes it extremely difficult to push a car to it's limits.

Manually wrestling a wheel? What does that have to do with lateral/rotational movement? You can get a wheel and turn force feedback off if you want. You still get the rotational movement, just without having to wrestle with it. I still don't see your point considering you control the level of input, regardless of what input device you use.

Interesting, I didn't realise that.

But then they went and ruined it by changing the 1:1 throttle and brake input from prologue to a non-linear scale. Hopefully the full game will have 1:1 input for steering, throttle and brakes with a pad, as that is what i'll most likely be using.

It was a lot easier holding position on the oval banks in the Time Trial, with a control pad, than in any other GT game so far. Thanks to the 1:1 steering I think, or the new Physics, or both. GT4 was by far the worse!

I don't consider that an aid, more a hindrance trying to get 900deg or whatever rotation is supported. Into 40/50 mm of movement is torture.

IMHO of course.

Edit Seismica.

If you lose control or need to put opposite lock on a car, for any reason, be it rally or drifting.
It will be quicker on a pad. I'm sorry if you don't see my reasoning. I'll leave it at that.

Ok mate thanks.
You mean well, you just come across as abit blunt. Oh well it's the Internet.

I know that we've already seen a cockpit video of the Honda NSX super gt but I haven't seen this one posted anywhere. This one shows a new cockpit view angle within the replay system (1:40) and @2:34 that you can apparently "choose" unlike some other views that are actually random and you have no control over. Or maybe I'm just crazy :P anyways hope you guys enjoy!

Warning!
GT5 Latest News and General Discussion Thread is turning into GT5 vs FM3 Thread.

Easy with the debate...

We can all thank sasuki and his constant trolling about FM3 permanent driving aids. Kind of worrying since he got a warning about that, IIRC, no more than 3-4 days ago.

@Spagetti69. Seismica

IN FM3 the permanant driving aids are also permanent when using a wheel and thats pretty much annoying when making sudden turns, theres less spin off or Snap Oversteer .

i like Prologue more becasue when using a wheel it feel like you have all the control of your car, i know some of you hate the Snap Oversteer, but i like it because it feel natural just like a real car.

If you have "snap oversteer" in your real car you need to soften the back up some. Thing is loose!

Hey..."interior camera views" :P There's hope for standard car cockpits yet. >:)

What was the bit that went flying @ the 28 second mark? I didn't see anything on the side of the track?

i think that they were just cones or something... maybe the wind and downforce ripped off the spoiler ?:)

but seriously might be the peices of grass and a cone to make it look like it was a larger piece of metal or something.

yeah i just did a frame by frame look in hd ... turns out their just cones :)

Thats what i did with Forza 3 and shift.

rented Forza 3 for 3 weeks, and then rented it again 1 week last month.

Shift i rented it for one week.

So which is it?

@SuperShouden

I watched their E3 last year and from what they said about FM3 "its like a PC sim but on consoles" i believed them, i brought a 360 and FM3

Those Punks from Insideracingsim.tv lost credibility from the moment they said "WOW Forza 3 feels like a PC sim"

after Buying and playing Forza 3, i remember what they said and i was laughing my *** out!

You spent the past month saying their review convinced you to buy the 360 and FM3 and that the game was crap.
Then you said you spent so much time playing the game and having fun.
I wish i never mentioned, "permanent steering assist in forza3"

it made me look like a GT fanboy, but im not, i like Forza 3 its Super FUN,
No im not a hater, i own FM3 and its a fun/great game...

Now you're saying you rented it. I'm just wondering whether anything you say is true or if you're one of those kids who goes around reading a bunch of forums and feels he's an expert without any first hand experience?

I'm just gonna laugh when there ends up being interior views for standerd cars, and there are some people who will not end up pre-ordering, and then the game comes out and they're like WTF!:)

that's all right 'cause as soon as they see that they're are, they'll go and buy it. :P
