Not to burst your bubble, but Sony has had Gran Turismo sponsors on cars that haven't been in the GT series plenty of times. They've sponsored single seaters, GT cars, one make race cars and many more that have never appeared. Don't read too much into it, all it is is Sony sponsoring a racing team, that does not automatically equate to that car and track or either appearing in the game. Ofcourse there's a chance that they might, but the sponsor doesn't mean that they will.

Hey guys I think these pictures in High Quality haven't been posted yet. Here's The link http://www.gran-turismo.com/jp/gt5p/screen/ Please forgive me if they were.

That shot makes it look like a "spy" shot of a pre-production test car that is partially under "wraps"... they even have the license plate removed that would say what it is. Interesting, and clever. :)

Yeah it deos look interesting, and when first I saw these pictures I thought GT website just had some photos of real car taken and that's all. But oh boy when I clicked on them and picture got bigger I could tell that it was the next best thing to real life :D it was in game shots. All I got to say about all this is "Me very excite" :dopey: And you know what? Even though a lot of gtplanet members and gt fans in general groan and moan about delays, I just seem to be used to it and already in advance ready to wait much longer then YK promises. But days like today for example with all these new info gets me going and gets me really excited. It's like we sit in front of our monitors for years waiting for some new info and then one day Bam! Bam! dozens of new pictures with more exciting news. Then we wait again for a while and again Bam! Bam!:) I guess what I'm trying to say is days like today with new beautiful screens make my whole day a lot better I'm smilling at work and at home because I got the visual of GT in my head :D haha.

they need to work on their exhaust tips :yuck: haha but other then that, that screenshot looks stunningly awesome:tup:

Now with on-line racing in GT5. I hope we can get GT mode on-line racings not jest arcade mode. As I'm not a arcade mode fan. It's billed as the real driving simulator. Right?

Btw, did anyone notice any reflections on the car's paint job while racing? They seem not to have that much effort put in that as Forza 2, and as a Photomode addict that's something I'd REALLY like to see in the game - realistic reflections of the surroundings, and let's not forget to include reflections of the cars nearby, since that's a big flaw in GT4 (for me, at least).
Being a fan of Forza 2 as well, I'll have to say that the environment reflections only look right on the sunlit side of the car. In the shade, all the cars take on some weird mirrorlike metalflake quality, especially the red cars. This even applies to red decals! Forza 2 got a lot of things right, but some of the strangest things wrong.

Well, before firing up Forza, I should check out the new GT5 Prologue vids and look 'em over again.

Looking at the new screens for GT5P that show Daytona, and I thought that mabie NASCAR "stockcars" or the whole series may make an appearance in GT5P or GT5.:odd:Does Daytona and nascar play a part, or is it just gonna' be another track.

Speedter, didn't GT2 have a Mark Martin stockcar? Even if GT can't get the NASCAR license they can include a few generic stock cars like they do with the formula gt cars

I have bad news

Ever wonder about pricing of downloadable cars in GT5?

For those who don't have a PS3 I can tell you this:

Motorstorm cars cost $1 a piece to download.

IMO that is WAY too steep for a single downloadable car.

I can understand a bundle of 10 cars for $5 but 1 car for $1? WAY too high.

And with GT5 car's being far more detailed, will this be a good indicator of price? I hope not.

Earth-> Well I kinda understand your statement there, but I do hope it will be less by the time GT5 (the full game) to come out. I think by DL'ing each car will alieviate those complaints of having too many RX-SkyEvo STi's on GT. :)

If that's the case, I hope they have an option to buy packs with several cars for a good discount, $1 per car is way too much. I imagine donwloading at least dozens of cars if they have them, and I wouldn't want to end up paying twice the game's price, just to have a few more cars...

Not official, but we have officially heard they are working on it, so you might as well take that as a yes, although we may not see it until GT5

thanks very much for the guide to creating a japanese PSN account and getting the demo, awesome work!

(one minor thing - it seemed to require my password be longer than 6 characters or have numbers. not sure which, but it might be worth mentioning. If you don't have a japanese housemate you could get stuck ;)

I know my original password didn't work until I added numbers to it.

Turn 10 is charging $7.50 to download the Twin Ring Motegi track

Motorstorm tracks cost $5

How much will GT5 tracks cost? I'm guessing as high as $10 for a Nurburgring or Le Mans and as low as $5 for a Road Atlanta.

Too expensive IMO, but if they offer free online racing with free tournaments and free updates to the AI, graphics, physics etc, it won't be quite so bad

I'm assuming Nurb or La Sarthe are stock tracks in the final release, and not expecting many downloadable tracks down the road.

But I agree on the pricing, tracks over $5 is asking too much for one item. (again, assuming we're not talking about The Ring or something big as that)

Whats the story on drift mode? And will there be aftermarket body mods for this game or are they going to skip over it? Best thing about Forza is the customizable part and the online drifting.

Forza doesn't have a drift mode. If you like to drift, just do like everyone does, and drift.

^ I know I drift all the time in forza, but forza physics are way better for drift than any GT game I have played. I am hoping with the addition of drift mode in GT:HD they will hopefully continue that on to GT5:P and work on the drift physics a little bit. Also if there is some scoring system it makes it much more exciting to drift with people online other than just drifting for fun.

Ok i know this may have been asked before, but are there any security issues in making the (fake) japanese accounts? i.e. do sony actually care?? nd if so could they say, ban my other accounts to?

Unless you put credit card info in (which is unlikely being in Japanese) I can't see any security reason or why they would care. Sony want to make money not ban customers, they're having a hard enough time dumping their PS3's

I'm a bit disapointed about the sounds in general... watched lots of videos and it seems none of the sounds we're expecting are in... tires are as squeeky as in GT2 arg!

Anyone's noticed a good enough difference?
